I do believe I could listen to you play guitar all day! When you switched to the bridge on that Tele it sounded like you had stomped on an overdrive! That thing is going straight into my esquire build. Seriously well done sir.
This guy always impresses with his playing. Great ZZ tone from these pups. Clean up nice also, very soulful blues tone on the neck and middle pos. I will probably buy a set to drop into a Gibson 60s LP Standard.
These pups sound super clear, even with the stacked overdrives. Great demoing and playing always helps, of course. Both guitars sounded killer. I think that the LP just took the honours though i.m.o.
I had a 3 pup offset tele build planned. This throws off my plans completely. Was thinking a pearly gates mini in the neck, a duck bucker in the middle kinda like and every axe. Then debating the bridge. Something noiseless but still tele vibes like a SD stack. This has to go in the bridge. Stilling thinking about a duck bucker for the middle but now I'm questioning what to put in the neck to cover all my bases. Still thinking along the every axe line of logic.
If you told me that was a new ZZ Top tune at the start without showing me the video, I'd've believed you. Nooo, I died of a tonegasm when the slide and open-E came out! 🤘
It’s never a sure thing haha! It’s similar to how pick players do it, using the flesh part of my thumb and hovering over the neck pickup until I find the sweet spot!
I'm thinking of adding a third middle p/u to an Epi LP Custom that has split coil Pearly Gates now (and forever), Bigsby B7 w/Schaller roller and nut cut for Billy's Mexican Lottery 8"s running through a Marshall DSL40CR and Fender Champ 40. Any recommendations?
Andy Looking for recommendations to thicken up bridge pup on Les Paul It’s a burstbucker pro now And have needed with height and screws It’s better Just wonder what you think
It's hard to say not knowing your amp, effects...pickups are just a part of the whole equation. You can really fatten up most pickups with a little roll-off of the tone control and perhaps a clean boost. Again, not knowing if you're trying to do this clean or dirty. Many overdrives push mids and that's not always going to sound fatter, it may end up nasally. Pickup height is a very small element in the grand scheme but be sure you don't get them too close or you'll pull the vibrations out of your strings. Speaking of magnets, I find that Alnico 2 like these Duncan tend to sound creamier, so perhaps a switch from your Alnico 5 but I'd experiment first. Good luck!
Billy Gibbons called. He wants his tone back! Sounds so good!
We need an Andy tour across the world!!!
I said this before, but Andy is my favorite band
Ahh really appreciate that! ✌️

Andy, your demos always sound so good! I especially like the Red Devil here. It’s definitely a candidate for my upcoming Esquire build!
Thanks so much, glad you dug it! I am tempted to put this in a Tele project as well.

I put the Hades Gates pickups in my Gibson Les Paul and play through a Mesa Boogie Mark 5:35 = those pickups scream METAL. Love 'em.
That’s really good to hear, thanks!
Oh yeah - these are sounding great - Great job Andy!
Many thanks! 😎
You sound more ZZ Top than Duncan's video with Billy Gibbons himself 😂
That tone is spot on to the ZZ Top songs I’ve heard, great demo Andy you’re the best dude 🤘🏻 rock on brother
I really appreciate it! 👊

Came here for the Hades LP HB, which is awesome, but now i’m sold (and ordering) on the Red Devil tele bridge. Spot on the tone in my head!
Nice, happy to help out!
That's going in my strat.
Great Sound, Thankyou 🎸🎶🎸
Hey, be honest. You did some extra takes because you knew the Rev would be watching this. Wow, your playing is so ZZ! Thank you!
Haha, I ALWAYS need extra takes but definitely wanted to nail this one just in case! Thanks so much ✌️😎

Haha really happy you enjoyed this, thanks! 😎
Fantastic sounding pickups! I allways was wondering how do you setup you're guitar? Are you high action or low action player?
Nice tones Paul Rudd 😁
Beyond tasty 🤘
I think I just found the pickups for my Mustang build.
Andy! Pls! What is the name of the music you play in the deep trip Bog review from Pro Guitar Shop (time 4:16)???? PLS!!!!!
Hey! That sounds like something I made up that day. Definitely drawing from Velvet Revolver & QOTSA! ❤️

How are you doing pinch harmonics with your patented no-pick?

The sounds are like Billy on Tejas or Deguello
Andy just left Chicago...

STELLAR!!
What is the secret tweed pedal listed in the gear for this video?
I’ll have a demo mid Nov!
What is volume / tone pot value for the Telecaster.
Both Tele pickups were humbucking so, 500k.
@@AndyDemos Thank you for your time.
Best tone Billy ever had was from a Les Paul
oh no the finger tap 😫
Not a fan I take it? 😅
It's fine haha!
