@@RobChappers Pick 6 very different picks, then have Pete play the same thing with each pick while you're blindfolded. I've got at least one of every commonly available pick over the last 45 years, and I can hear the differences (mostly), but I couldn't identify them. But I have faith in you dude. Then KDH will make a video revealing how you and Lee breed Tortexes in captivity.

My first thought: If it stays in tune, it isn't a Les Paul. But then I thought I was being mean. Then Rob comments the same on the first guitar.
But when he did his bend, it also went out of tune.
Heard this before. Never sure how true it was, then I watched Phil X doing a promo for Gibsons new Flying Vs and others. He had to quit playing constantly and said, “I play so hard it keeps going out of tune!” Lol
@@dustinbrummett3774 makes no sense for a flying v, though. They have way better headstock designs for tuning stability.

@@dustinbrummett3774 if it comes straight out of the factory, I could maybe see it happening. Fresh strings, almost unplayed. I have a Gibson SG and it rarely goes out of tune. But almost every gibson I've ever tried in a store went out of tune just from looking at it.

The G in Fujigen is G as in gorilla. Gen means strings in Japanese. SO the brand name is "Stringed instruments of Mt. Fuji. "

Honestly the "cheap" Gibson pickups in that Studio modern, which they also put in a bunch of other guitars, are my favourites.
I genuinely don't understand the obsession with expensive and painstaking vintage PAF recreations.
Those 490T or whatever they are called, really bring the goods.
It's the same set that comes in more expensive models, they're nice
@@milkandmeat I think it’s Gibsons more rock oriented set, so they are in Flying Vs and stuff like that. But with Gibson, as the price goes up the guitars tend to get more era specific and the pickups are made to match the era.
Alnico 2 wax potted, moderate hot output. It’s ok. The problem is usually with the bridge PU, IMO! 498T or 500T doesn’t do it

They're not cheap pick-ups, it's just that they don't sound like the pick-ups on an original burst.
It tells a lot that he immediately said the Gibson Standard 60s felts like an Epi, and when he grabbed the Heritage he said immediately how nice it felt and sounded.
it also says alot when he said "far & away the best guitar I played" was the Gibson Les Paul Studio @marziograva

i have one specific les paul that just never goes out of tune lol, my korean epiphone, i can play 2 hour shows and maybe only need to tune near the end. my gibson guitars need tuning every 2 songs lmao.

the heritage scale length is the same at 24.75" and looks SO GOOD in person..."Cadillac Green".
There is a video on youtube floating around of Yngwie playing a Les Paul, and boy he actually sounds killer on it, really smooth, especially when he hits that neck pickup.
Rob's guitar devining skills are pretty amazing.

idk that fgn was not close to the gibson standard. When rob strummed the standard, it was night and day difference.

That Gibson Studio in Smokehouse burst is an no amazing guitar and I friggin LOVE that color. I bought a Gibson Classic in the finish brand new, here in the states with push pull it’s and factory

The best LP tone I’ve heard is still my school friend Eddie playing a LP Studio in 1997. It persuaded me to get my Epiphone LP that year…
…I’ve just bought a Sire T3, and if there’s one thing that I miss about the LP, it’s that it had volume and tone control for each pickup. It’s an underrated feature on a LP: Everyone slates humbuckers for a lack of nuance *but* a different way of looking at is that Gibson actually accounted for it with controls on the body itself

I don't think Andertons mention enough about the Heritage guitars when they're in a shootout.
The Heritage brand, model H-150, is the original Les Paul formula made in the original Kalamazoo factory by Gibson workers who didn't want to relocate. It literally is a Les Paul with a different headstock shape and pickguard shape.
My friend already watched the video so he won't be able to verify my comment, but he has a full fat Heritage H-150 Custom Core in dark cherry sunburst, and he says he has a very difficult time noticing any minor difference between that guitar, and a top of the line Gibson Murphy Lab Les Paul, other than the Gibson having a slightly better relic'ing job to it; they play and feel identical in his opinion. The biggest difference is the price, and of course, you can toss in different pickups to sound more like the Les Paul you want.
The LP modern and the Heritage are beautiful! Love the dark tobacco-y burst and the green finishes.
If money wasnt a factor i would yoink that gibson right now.
The editing on these is always top notch and somethjng a little extra special than the norm.
The heritage is something beyond reality, really really really awesome tone
