Awesome demo! I really enjoyed your review of the SD BG 1400 bridge pickup, and am wondering if you, or anyone else here has had the chance to play the custom shop BG 1400 neck pickup? Thanks for any feedback!
Real nice demo! Also, the pickups sound great! I hope the Hades Gates bridge balances better with the neck. The one thing I didn't like about the Pearly Gates set is that the bridge sounded a bit thin compared to the neck. Is the Hades Gates set potted?
Thanks for the kind words! The Hades Gates definitely seem to balance really nicely when the pickups are height adjusted correctly. I believe they are wax potted
I love the tones you're getting from the Hades Gates pickups. Sounds like you've listened to a lot of that first "Cry of Love" album (Audley Freed). I've had a Les Paul husk hanging around for a while, waiting on me to decide which pickups to put in it. I think I might give these a whirl. Coincidently... I saw Cry of Love open for ZZ Top in 1993 at Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport, LA.
I actually hadn't heard Cry of Love before, definitely digging that 1993 album. I bet seeing them open for ZZ Top was a great show! Thanks for the recommendation
I've been looking for a hotter PAF style preferably with A2 because I like the thicker looser mid push. But I noticed pretty much every candidate I looked at on the Duncan website the EQ graph shows scooped mids. I mean pretty much everything appears to have the exact same scooped EQ. Discouraged I started looking at other makers. Then I saw the hades, which advertises a "mid forward" tone Billy is known for. Sounds promising maybe this is the one. Nope, same scooped EQ. If these are really all scooped that's a bummer and some variety would be nice. If it's an error in website management/acuracy it's costing you orders because I have specifically avoided ordering any of these after seeing they are mid scooped on the website.
Great sound. Fantastic lesson. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!

Great Video Thankyou ❤
Thanks!
This might be the bridge pickup I have been waiting for to pair with the PAF in the neck of my custom Tele.
I agree!!
Wolfie. Love you man. Getting the Red Devil
Nice!

A Boss GE7 will help you. Watch the Tom Bukovac video on the GE7 and the other pedals he uses
beautiful guitar! wowzzah ;)
Would a hades gate in the neck pair well with a red devil in a tele that’s routed for a humbucker in the neck?

The best pickups I own are made by The Japanese brand "Saito." Off the charts tone.
Nice! I ‘lll have to check those out! These Seymour Duncan pickups are crazy awesome

the Hades Gates definitely are mid forward!
And what is the most Billy Gibbons pickup and sound:
The red devil for telecaster or the BG1400?
Red Devil is hotter and a humbucker, BG1400 is a great sounding tele pickup that happens to also be hum cancelling single coil
Wonder what the difference is between the Red Devil for tele and the PG for tele?
Great demo, man
Thanks for the kind words!
The red devil are hotter versions of the pearly gates platform
Whats the name of the guitar with the humbuckers? Looks hot!
