I have literally no criticisms of my G4. Hands down the best smartphone I've ever owned.
My only complaint is the battery sometimes. One day it's great, the other it dies way too quick.

The intro is beatiful! It was like a beginning of an epic movie battle. The choice of music background is good as always. We appreciate the hard work 🔥
I have had mine 8 months and overall very happy. The LCD issue reported in the first two manufactured months showed up on my phone after 6 months and my carrier replaced my phone. The UI I agree is not great so it's my beloved nova launcher for me.
The camera is exceptionally and it's runs buttery smooth. Not really seen any battery issues that some are reporting. I travel alot in my job the replaceable battery and SD card was a big decision in my choice going with LG

Mine never had the boot loop issue I’ve had it for 3 years now works perfectly fine only use it for music and camera now
I watched this expecting to see how the phone fares a year after release (battery life, marshmallow update, durability....) and instead I saw a regular review that was released one year late.... You have a very wrong idea of what a "one year later" video should consist of...
I love how the only bad point was the colours on the bulletin board. Let's face it, the LG G4 was the best phone of 2015. There are way too many glass and metal covered phones with no expandable storage and you can't trade out a possible faulty battery without paying the likes of samsungs and apples ridiculous prices. The camera was amazing, better than any other phone I've ever used. Anyone who hates on this phone has no idea what they are talking about.
I'm not gonna change for the g5, i love my G4 and it fits my need perfectly :)
We already know what it looks like, so it's all about features.
One only needs to look at the V10 to see where they would like to go with the G5..camera. The cams on this phone will blow everyone away

I really want LG G5! first I picked HTC M8 over LG G3. then I chose Galaxy S6 over LG G4. each tme, though, I consistently followed LG products.
Got the g4 cause my m8 died on me last month, the only thing that I dislike is LG saying they would add more versions of the phone to get its bootloader unlocked and only did Europe's versions
How come your g4 doesn't have the Marshmallow update? They all got it ages ago. And you didn't even mention the camera which is one of the main selling points for this phone.

For the G5, keep the camera but improve everything else (Screen size, speakers, UI, Battery Life, etc.
I heard this phone is just a bootloop waiting to happen. Basically when it happens it'll cost $100 to repair unless you're under a warranty which means you spent full price or $300+ on your phone. I wanted one, but seems like any of the good deals which are $180-200 on Ebay will all be potential bootloop phones with no warranty.
I have a Lg V10, the battery life drains so quickly. I had to buy a spare battery with higher capacity so that it would help the battery life lasts longer.
g4's display is not 'quantumdot' just 'quantum ips' these are diffrent.
It's not a Quantum Dot display, it's what LG calls the Quantum IPS display.

I just got this phone a month ago and it's been great for the most part. The performance is very snappy especially I have Nova launcher installed which can make it feel even faster. Gaming works nicely but this phone gets hot when playing games like PokemonGO or more intensive games. I think the best part of this phone is the camera. Nothing negative to say about it both front and rear cam works like magic. I haven't experience the known bootloop issue yet but one issue I had so far when I was playing game for hours and the phone would freeze. I mean that's probably my fault but just to take note there lol! If you're not a gamer the battery would last day of use. It's a beast phone overall I'm happy with it so far!

Going in to my S/N request. . Some users were claiming that 2016 units were free from bootloop.. Assuming that you are using 2016 unit. . It will help me decide to go in purchasing one G4..
I just love the back buttons, split keypad and knock knock code of LG G3/G4 models.. Plus the simplicity of its UI.

JULY ONG sorry I really dont know the serial of my phone xD but if the phone was made this year it won't have the bootloop or it shouldn't have. And my phone came from my service provider.
why are going through specs again after a year! how did the camera age, how did the battery after marshmalloww updates etc...????
Good grief. I've had the LG G4 since it was released. With Facebook part of the native software, the phone is prone to lags and it's not difficult to get it to freeze up, entirely. Disabling the Facebook app helps a great deal. But run Google Maps and a few other resource-intensive applications and you'll find you have to reboot the phone, to continue to use it. The swappable battery is a great feature, since the phone cannot make it through a long day with a lot of use. My Nexus tablets - even the Nexus 7 - have had Marshmallow for months, with several updates since Android 6. Meanwhile, the LG G4 has received virtually no significant OS updates since it was released. Only now has Marshmallow come to the U.S. and it's not been a trouble-free roll-out of that upgrade. The camera is, however, pretty good. And the screen is excellent. SD card support is very welcome. On the whole, the LG G4 was the product of a whole lot of compromises, when it was first released. Starting from that, one year later it's still a very mixed bag to use, day-to-day. It's my daily driver, but it often falls far short of my expectations of how a "flagship" should perform.

It´s a hardware issue - no other Software could help, but the LG Support in Germany told me, that the newer series (2016) should work fine

Regret getting the LG G4 in terms of Ui and supposed "improvements"...got the Marshmallow update on T-Mobile and the phone is still as laggy as ever. I have been an android user for 5 years now and have given Apple a lot of shit because of the iPhone but now I'm starting to see how the smartphone game is going. HTC ruined themselves. Samsung is going to keep the same design of the S6/edge etc. LG G5 leaked images look completely ugly. So I think I might draw a line this year. I own an iPad so I know what iOS is and how it works and what it's capable of. Considering the last iPhone I had was the iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.2, I think I should revisit the iPhone for 2016. Android is just not that exciting anymore. At the end of the day we all just want a phone as good as the iPhone that we can download music for free. But I'm willing to make that sacrifice cause after all Apple has been continuously perfecting the iPhone every other generation compared to android where it's a roller coaster
Same for me.. The g4 is laggy and the RAM is full with only a few apps running .. iPhone for me this year

I will never buy from lg again. This week I have been the victim of the infamous boot loop error caused by lg's own hardware. The lg g4 is a brilliant phone and great flagship of 2015. But the boot loop hardware error has completely put me off. Was looking forward to the g5. After this think I'm going back to Samsung!!

I will not be getting a G5 if they shrink the screen size and dump the removable battery and sd crd slot in fact my only complaint about the G4 is the fragile screen I had to go without mine for about a month when it fell out of my coat pocket and the screen became useless so if they keep what Ilike and improve on the toughness of the screen they will have me as a returning customer once I can upgrade otherwise I will be switching to the Galaxy Note next time I upgrade

Two things wrong right off the top of the video. One, the g3 was not better than the g2. that was it's main problem. Second, the leather backs made for the best feeling phone of the year, bar none.

I've used the lg g4 for 8 months till now> and i'm still using it. but unfortunately and how disappointing it is that my phone starts to get extremely hot!! i really mean it. it happens after 15 minutes of playing "Brain It On" and this game does NOT need alot from the device as GTA or Racing games !! please if any one has this problem tell me. and if anyone know if there is a solution for that tell also.

The G4 was a stinker and within a few months the price had fallen 40%. For early adopters it was a terrible buy, but even with its many problems at its discounted price it wasn't a bad deal. I hate reviewers that say the reason they buy a phone is for the removable battery, get real 95% don't care, get over it. If you base spending all your money on whether you can remove the battery then that is sad. There are hundreds of far more important features including the camera which the G4 was near top of the class. If I was in the market for a G5 I would wait a few months as prices could fall if again it fails to sell.
No, battery is important. if the battery sucks and you can't remove it, it's just going to keep getting worse and worse as the phone gets older, with no hope of improving.

ohhh, its to late. This cellphone come with heavy manufacturing defects. Search LG G4 bootloop in google. Is the worst manufactured cellphone in the history of LG. It has shitty solderings and the chip get desoldereded from the mother, making it useless. Are thousands and thousands of people with this problem, a lot of friends of mine had that problem and lost the money because they cellphones where imported and lg denied the warranty.
