Yes, you should upgrade to the G5...the LG G4 has a loop problem; which renders your phone useless. If you wish to continue to use the G4 - you will need to have it fixed before the loop problem eventually occurs.
Thomas Stravato I had G Flex 2. It's dead now. I really renders the phone useless. It's literally become a brick. Man, I loved that phone. When I decided to buy either V10 or G4 I discovered that both suffer from the same issue. Well, curved design is to blame. In my opinion curved from the top to the bottom design is the best, but it just happens to be problematic since the motherboard has to be weak which causes this horrible malfunction...
They should make the battery bigger, like 3500 + mah,5.5 or 5.7,please lg keep the removable back,take the video features from the v10 along with the headphone jack of the v10.Bring back the volume buttons the bacm and not the sides,that's what make the lg unique from other phones.Lg cam should be the best at everything,make the focus quick and cam app launch faster and bring the finger print reader.bring the app draw at launch to and this phone should be a real tough compedator
I had a g4 got rid of it, but I have gotten it back, I got the dual SIM H 818N a version usually acquired from India,I think the feel of the g4 and a bigger screen compared to the G5 which I did have and went back to the g4 accessories you can get for the g4 now a lot better such as quick ring cover which has I a heap more great features know one thing, I didn't like about the G5 when you slide the battery in there's always a little gap where is the battery went in and met the phone there was a gap. I like the fact that if you want I can just whip out Me battery and throw it in a freshly charge one ,And you do not have half your phone stuck to the battery, and the differences between the 808 and the so called up upgrade, I can live with.

I always loved Juan's videos. Never disappointed me. Many of the streamers are just like "It's new, you MUST get it". I have a G4 and I have mates who own G2-G5. I've compared my LG to the G3 and it owned it - the camera, the overall performance and heating issues were fixed. The G5 had only 2 huge advantages - gaming perfomance, and wide angle camera addition. However, I don't play games, and for that amount of money it'd be better to buy some decent DSLR camera. I am a bit disappointed - true, G5 is a modular phone with some nice features. But, come on, I cannot stand that metal frame. It has no grip, I dropped my friend's phone twice in 10 minutes while holding it normally. I do think that G5>G4. However, if you're not a maniac, you might wait for the G6 and then post Far East Movement's song on Facebook .
bullshit, the lg g4 heatd up & the batteru dies in 4 hours & there is no fix to this phone & chargers always easily breaking on this phone, lg g4 is trash I want to get rid of it so bad the lg g3 has better battery life, the only thing lg g4 has over the g3 is the camera nothing else lol

Because he has The Korean version of the G4. If you use any Korean variant of LG phone and live outside Korea, you'll get that dual clock but that can be disabled if you know how to dig in on hidden settings.

I've been upgraded to G5 from G4! I was excited to start playing with the phone but last week i send it back to LG to check the screen! They claim that the G5 screen lights up to 900 nits but when i compared it to the G4 (454nits) I almost cried! The G4 was at least twice as bright from G5! I am waiting for the results and i am certainly waiting for a new device.... Let's see...

I think the G5 is worth the upgrade over the G4. The camera is extra exceptional, the wide angle camera is a great addition and finally having the metal modular design is a breath of fresh air in an era where innovation is harder to achieve.
Christian Enright I have the G5. It definitely feels different than a regular metal phone, but it's so sturdy that it doesn't feel like it will dent. I also have slid it on tables and done some scratching and people would REALLY have to try to scratch that primer off.
I upgraded to the G5 from the G2 and I can honestly say I am really pleased with my decision. And sure it does not get as loud as the G2 did with headphones but it is far more clear especially since people tend to forget the G5 still has its stock 24 bit hi fi dac.

A lot of criticism for the G5, but I think the design is more progressive than the previous editions. In the hand it feels great and it has that weirdly charming vibe that all LG flagships have. If it wasn't so obviously branded slap bang on the front, I'd be a regular LG customer: kitchen appliance logo aesthetics are not exactly the coolest look to rock in the boardroom! Still, I totally get what they're up to. The next one really has to nail it though.
I have been using the same lg phone for 4 years now, it was my first phone. I ordered a new phone on ebay, because there are some issues with my current phone (very slow and calls disable the screen, if that makes sense). Of course, after only ever using an LG, the new phone I ordered is an LG. LG g4

If you were stuck on the Sammy GS5, forewent the GS6 upgrade and scooped up the GS7 you are probably a very happy camper right now. The same applies to the LG G5. It's exploring new territory and there are still a lot of bugs to spray so it's best to avoid it and wait for the G6. The G4 is still a decent and relevant device.
Without that hi-fi audio DAC, I really don't see the point in upgrading from my G4 to a G5. Audio is something that's pretty important to me and I want improved audio not something that they made worse so that you have an excuse to buy an accessory. I think I'll wait until either the next version of the V10 or the G6
I know you have been considering new games for tests on the larger screens perhaps adding a RPG title such as SW KoTOR a older game now admitedly but it will show the clarity of the text on these rpg games a nescesary point and why some phone gamers would go for a larger screened phone :)
I have the G4 for one year and I have never experienced any issue. Even if I could buy the G5, in my opinion it doesn't worth it; it looks cheap to me. The leader back from the G4 still rocks in 2017.
the reason for the lower bazel to screen ratio is due to the fact that the motherboard is so small that they had to make use of the top that's why it's larger. but if it was not modular the B-T-S ratio will be higher. watch max lee and you'll know what I'm saying
I can't deal with the smaller screen and I know the camera is only a tiny bit better. I will be waiting for the g6. I have money on a g5 pro coming out with a bigger screen though.

I had the G4 then the V10 now the G5:') both the G4 and V10 are amazing phones but the G5 is a monster im in love with that phone and the battery is incredible comparable with the G4 and v10 ( LG fan boy)
Leather case gives much more premium feeling.. Maybe it came from our own experience with leather jackets, bags, wallets or chairs and seats. I'm happy with my g4.. But it could be much prettier with the 5.2" screen, same curved screen, metal body frame, and a leather back.. And why not two cameras as well.

what i use the most is typing and light sensor for auto screen brightness, why not many ppl talk about those? to me g4 was bad, keyboard was bad light sensor was bad compared to the G3, now g5 have much better typing experience like apple, and much better light sensor

I had the G4 then the V10 now the G5:') both the G4 and V10 are amazing phones but the G5 is a monster im in love with that phone and the battery is incredible comparable with the G4 and v10 ( LG fan boy)

I went from a G4 to a G5 and the signal reception on the G5 is really bad compared to the G4.
tbh i really like the g5, but ill wait for the next iterations for a more polished phone.

Leather case gives much more premium feeling.. Maybe it came from our own experience with leather jackets, bags, wallets or chairs and seats.
I'm happy with my g4.. But it could be much prettier with the 5.2" screen, same curved screen, metal body frame, and a leather back.. And why not two cameras as well.

what killed it for me was the smaller screen and worse screen to bezel ratio. In fact I would have preferred a more or v10 sized 5.7 inch screen.

G5 wins in some areas over G4. But against v10 I am not so sure. To me v10 is the superior phone.
+ARUNABHA LAHIRI G5 will be better for gaming...just cuz of the new gen of cpu and gpu...never the less..v10 is great,great phone...

I dont think so, maybe if you really want a lg phone than you should get the v10 but ik moet getting the samung galaxy s7
get a s7 or lg g5 but Id wait for the htc 10
if you Lg fan i would recomend upgrade it to V10 or the G4 for lower price and not much of difrent, if you can take other well i still recomend V10 S7/s7e or Htc10

what i use the most is typing and light sensor for auto screen brightness, why not many ppl talk about those? to me g4 was bad, keyboard was bad light sensor was bad compared to the G3, now g5 have much better typing experience like apple, and much better light sensor
