    I was made aware I was saying v-twin while it is a P-twin (Parallel) My bad!

    Nice video, thank you! It’s amazing how lightweight the bike is, coming in at only 423 pounds wet. I need to step down from my beloved Ninja 1000 due to my age and I’m seriously considering this all-around phenomenal bike.

    Beautiful bike brother. I think this or the Z650 might be my next. I have a Z400 right now. The 650 is enough power for my needs. I have no desire to do 150+ on an inline 4. I just dont know which to choose. I commute and occasional light touring on weekends. Best wishes. Thanks for the informative video

    Love the vid man, I just got a 2024 ninja 650 3 days ago. I’m loving it. Still getting comfortable with it. So far my only issue is downshifting. Been watching a ton of videos on it, and I hated that I didn’t get an in depth explanation and training on it during my msf course, but I’m trying to get down throttle blipping for smoother downshifts and perfecting engine breaking. I was gonna ask, but I saw you did the same thing coming to a stop…. Pulling in the clutch and just downshifting till you’re in first. I’ll be watching more of your vids man! Definitely agree, it’s a great bike for me and how I use it.

    • @MathewUnderwood
      @MathewUnderwood  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@manofsteel26 Yo thanks for the comment :) not gonna lie, I downshift that way because I could never get the blips either. So now this is just habitual haha. I've seen others do it and it is frustrating :) be safe out there and enjoy!

      Hell, yeah bro

    • @svendays
      @svendays 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do the same thing, but definitely be careful with this. If your speed is too great and you downshift all the way and let the clutch out, you will lose traction on both tires. Definitely have to be more careful to keep the clutch in the friction zone if you're going to do this, otherwise you're going to have a bad time 🤣

    I’m considering this one and the 500 as a first bike. Insurance wise if it’s not too expensive…

    • @MathewUnderwood
      @MathewUnderwood  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@dccoletrain insurance isn't too bad. If financing, you'll need full coverage. If you're buying outright, you can lower the price by a lot. But from personal experience, keep theft protection lol.

    I've had mine since 2018 and I refuse to part with it! I also own a '23 CBR650 and sometimes ride my son's '24 ZX 4rr. But I love everything about my Ninja 650; comfort, gas mileage, taking off from a stop sign or traffic light...there aren't too many cars that can challenge you unless they paid over $100k for it. But like you, I never liked the sound of the muffler sitting at idle. But open it up and it does have a nice engine sound.( there just aren't many after market pipes that give it a decent sound, so I kept it stock). The reason it sounds like that, is it's a 180 deg crank parallel twin which has a different sound than an R7 or the new Suzuki GSX 8r ( which both have a 270 deg crank and emits a much better sound. V twins also have a better sound such as the Ducatis and MV Agustas or even the Suzuki SV 650. Hold on to your Ninja... there's not another bullet proof, reliable bike out there. Kawasaki has been making that engine for several of their bikes since Fred Flintstone 🦕

    • @MathewUnderwood
      @MathewUnderwood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lol that's a perfect explanation of this bike :) definitely bulletproof!

    i got 2020 for roughly the same price, it had only 800 miles on it. Been having a blast on it every time!
    Mine is Kawasakit RCT color though, i like the white fairings on yours better. Can't recommend this bike enough.

    Matt ...not to be critical, but the engine on your bike is a "P-twin" parallel twin...not a "V-twin". Good video though.
