- This video covers some of the things I did when preparing to take my motorcycle home for the first time. Whether it's new or used it is definitely an experience and can range from difficulty depending on your location.

Brought home my ninja 650 yesterday used a trailer! 😂 gotta learn to ride taking the msf course this year so excited
That’s what’s up. Congratulations on the bike. Good luck with your msf. It’s a lot of fun.
@@CityNinja650 thanks man for the awesome videos can’t wait for next one
How did the msf course go? Im thinking about taking one too
Ive taken the class and it is really good. Plus you get your endorsement. @michaelt.9458
Uhaul has a motorcycle trailer for only $30 for the day. That's the best option if you are brand new
I didn’t know that, thank you
🏍️ 4-wheeling your Planned Route, before 2-Wheeling it, was a smart tip; thanks for that.
You gave A lot of brilliant
tips 👍🏻
Thank you sir. Yea this was what I did and hoped it helped someone out there.
Good tip about a nearby parking lot. That's what I did too the first ever riding my new motorcycle ever back then along with tons of studying how to ride. Driving a stick shift car most of my life really helped understand gearing most of all. Is it possible to pass a MSF course without riding? After I got my M license, I took the MSF course and passed, but half is written, half is riding.
I don’t think. I’m pretty sure the msf requires bike time. But there could be other classes that don’t. That’s why I watch a lot of TH-cam to try to expand. I love Canyon Chasers. They have really good videos about basic and advanced techniques. Real good content.
MSF requires 0 riding experience, they teach as if all riders have 0 experience. I just took it a few weeks ago with no experience on a bike.
My dealer delivered. Best thing ever.
I’m getting my 650 next week and I’m super nervous about the ride home
Congratulations on the bike. It definitely can be a daunting task but if you plan it out you will be good. Honestly be good even if you didn’t but I think it eases the mind to plan.
Gonna go for my bike tomorrow. So im stressing out a bit. Your video helps me calm down a little bit. Got a 1 hour ride home on highway on top :D
Got my ninja 650 from nate at mosites aswell 4 weeks ago. Thankfully i had my brother to help take it home for me.
That’s what’s up. Man I’m running into a lot of people from this area. How you liking it
@@CityNinja650 great. Out today in the monroeville area practicing
Buying a ninja 650 tomorrow and was super nervous about riding it in traffic so I’m super grateful for this video!
How did it go?? 😁😁
Crazy how I'm planning on getting the same bike as a beginner from the same dealership from north versailles 😂
That’s hilarious lol. Yea they got some 650s up there. And the white 636 I want so bad lol.
What’s up sir. Always good hearing from you. Dude that’s funny that your dealership was on the same road but 100s miles in the other direction lol. That’s pretty cool.
Never expected to see Mosites on TH-cam took my msf there a month ago really fun place to go to people there are really cool
I’m very happy to be able to share them. It really is a great dealership. Like you said there are a lot of good people who work there. All departments
thank you for this video man, hopefully picking up my ninja 650 in 2 days... the ride home is long, and will be hard but this video was very comforting. thank you again for your wisdom😎
Thank you. I’m glad it was helpful for you. Did you happen to get your bike? I seen you posted this 2 days ago and said you might be picking it up in that time. Sorry for the late reply also. YT didn’t let me know every time someone comments for whatever reason.
@@CityNinja650 No worries at all --unfortunately the seller led me on and the bike was in way worse condition than it seemed from the pictures, but I have a few leads on others :') trying to keep the good vibes going.
Bought my first motorcycle and rode it home yesterday. Was a pretty damn cool experience, did a few laps around a near by neighborhood before I hit the road and rode it an hour back home. Way better than renting a uhual truck.
That’s the way to do it. That’s what I did too. Nothing wrong with renting if you don’t feel comfortable but idk. I like the challenge and like you I’m sure felt confident and comfortable to make the trip. Congratulations on your bike!
Lovely bike man!🎉
I'm looking to get same bike, from same dealership, here in the next 2 weeks to a month. I live in Elizabeth, so I hear you bout being nervous bout my route. I would skip Center Ave (big hill) as well. Great video. Can't wait to get my first bike and learn to ride. Be safe 💯
That’s what’s up. Yea that’s not to far or bad ride. Might have to get on some big roads for a second but should be smooth sailing. Congrats on your bike to be
Was just at mosites looking around with my buddy last weekend while we were out riding.
Like so much different since last year. They really did some major improvements and overall growth there.
I just bought a new 2024 Indian Scout Rogue Sixty … like you, I have ZERO experience on 2wheels outside of my bicycle.
I haven’t even taken my course yet. (I take mine end of July).
I do have some experience with clutch bc my first couple of cars were stick, but that was 20 years ago. The familiarity still remains though.
I had it delivered, and I’ve had it for 2 days now. I’ve been practicing with friction zone and walking the bike forwards/backwards but nothing faster than 5mph. I need to take it to the road to go fast enough to lift my feet and practice shifting, but I’m still scared sh!tle$$ … I still haven’t left my driveway. 😂
Like you said, at some point though I just have to do it.
Congrats on the bike & good luck!
That’s a beautiful bike. I really like Indian motorcycles. They are really sharp looking. Congratulations on it. Yea man you learn at your own pace and do what feels right. It’s pretty amazing how fast things start clicking with them. You go up the road and back and next thing you know you’re around the neighborhood.
Enjoy it dude. You only get your first motorcycle once lol.
And like you said you know car clutch so you get the idea. Honestly car is more difficult for me. Maybe because it’s in the hands idk
wow! this brings back memories for me. My dealership was on Route 30 as well (southeastern P.A) It was a Yamaha YZR 600. my brother and I went halves on it, yes, we shared a bike it worked out great because of our schedules. Six months later we each got are on bikes. I had the pleasure of having some dirt bikes growing up as a kid. I really like how you use the technology, and your ability👍 to pre ride the route before you got on the bike. Great job, and great video. 💪🦾
Yes I'm watching u again
Appreciate the support for sure. Feel free to let me know anything I could do better or even video ideas!!!
if you buy a new vehicle from any dealer, they should fill the first tank. no excuses
I just went to look up msf course through Harley and they’re already fully booked up through may. I don’t know what I’m going to do to get a license
@@American_Devil did you go to the website. There is a Harley place by me and I had the same issue. The dealership I got my bike had the class so I was able to take it there. A lot of community colleges offer the class too.
@ yeah the Harley site. I’ll check out some colleges. Thanks!
@ yea I would. There should be a site. Like for me I just looked up PA MSF and it took me to their website. From there I could schedule and all that
@ ok I’ll look into that cause going through the dmv for whatever reason seems intimidating
@ yea they might make it sound like you need to go through them. I know every state is different. Like Pa you just got to do the msf and your good. Others you need to do both.
For me it was 4 years not riding motorcycle , got my bike ride home from the dealer ,45 minute ride , i was terafide 😅😂
Picking up my 650 tomorrow. Have only ridden once in the msf course a couple months back. Picking up with a trailer. Did you have to have insurance on the bike already or how does that work?
I needed to have it (full coverage ) before I took it home. I think you have to because there is a loan on the bike (if you didn’t buy it out right in cash). That’s how Pa is anyways. Different states could have different laws. But for me I had to have it before I could take it home.
Thanks for the response and yeah that makes sense
I bought my first bike a few weeks ( Ninja 500) and I had my buddy drive it home it was about a hour and a half ride taking all backroads home
Good tips man! As a new rider that just picked up their first bike this week, this information is definitely useful to the people that can get very nervous the first-time round.
Also love the bike, it looks sick!
Congrats on your bike. I’m glad the info was useful to others. I know I was a nervous wreck when it came down to taking my bike home. Lots of emotions lol. Thank you. I absolutely love my 650 and the color scheme. I had to have a white one lol.
Rented a U-Haul moto trailer for $40 and trailered mine home Saturday!
That’s a super cheap option. I honestly thought it would be a lot more. Congratulations on the new bike
Great vid!
I trailered 2 bikes home and my 650 I put in the back of a truck. I had to go through the bike before getting it on the road
Thats honestly probably the smart thing. I should have but I’m kinda dumb lol
@@CityNinja650 well at least it worked out for you lol. I never rush riding though. It's one of my rules to ride. If I feel rushed, I will not try riding. rushing breeds more risk.
I’m getting my first bike my options are ninja 400 and ninja 650 and cbr650r and gxsr8r and r7 and r3 what should I get
When are you getting one. I would love to make this a video of a why I ask
@@CityNinja650 I’m getting one in like 2 weeks
@@rileylofin7653 ok cool. I would like to make this a video if that’s ok. It would be a lot to text and it’s an important topic
@@CityNinja650 oh yeah please make a video on it. It would be much appreciated ❤️🙏👍
Bought bought a 24 Honda fury and rode it home 3 hours after only taking the msg 😂 that was fun
How was that ride lol. Those are pretty interesting bikes. I wanna ride one bad actually
@@CityNinja650 I WAs scared :D it is my first bike but after about an hour in i felt really good and started having fun :D I bought it for the looks thats for sure
EVERY DEALER WILL DELIVER OR ARRANGE. Cost me like $200 for a 60 mile delivery.
I dunno I think I'm gonna ask mosities to deliver. People on 30 are too crazy most of the time.
Definitely an option. Let me know how that process goes. I’d be interested
Getting my gsxr1000 tmr riding it home no experience 👍 (not joking)
No, not home
You either trailer it or ride it home.... lmao wtf kind of video is this.
