This was the worst review on the Crosstrek I've seen on the internet so congrats on your "worst Crosstrek review" award. wtf man
Yeah this is one of the best types of vehicles if this is the style of vehicle your looking for like if your worried about snow
@@Bushey4545 I ended up buying a 2024 Crosstrek Limited. It really reinforced how this guy had no clue what he was talking about
I clicked on the video and instantly checked his channel to see his content just to see it's reviews on normal vehicles and then saying to never buy them and then reviews on super and luxury cars but not the issues of those vehicles. This is clearly a person who doesn't know anything about vehicles and this video especially shows that
Really? You can afford a $27K + Crosstrek, but you can't afford a cell phone? WTF dude. Used? The App works fine! I start my Crosstrek, Lock it, Unlock, and can get updates without problems. This vehicle is designed for individuals, couples, and small families. Larger families would be better served purchasing a Forester or Ascent. I don't know what your "Friends" issue is? But, I purchased my 2019 Crosstrek in 2021. Since it was USED, the price was lower than a brand new car. I have the Premium trim with ALL the Bells and whistles. Sunroof, Heated seats, I-sight, Crash detection, Blind spot detection, Cross traffic detection, Emergency Braking, Premium sound system (Rockford Fosgate), and X-Mode. This car had less than 30K miles on it for under $24K. I have driven this crosstrek on both Highways and Off-road without any issues. Although I also have a Forester in our family. Every Road-trip we use the Crosstrek. More fun and comfortable.
This could be the absolute worst car review ever! My friend's Highlander (which cost twice as much as my Crosstrek) didn't come with a built-in GPS. The Crosstrek, as some comments mentioned, is not a (big) family car. If you like Subarus and the Crosstrek is small for you, you can buy an Outback or a Forester. I hope prospective Crosstrek buyers don't pay any heed to this ill advice.
So NEVER buy a subaru because it doesnt come with navigation stock and is small? Ok man 😂
lmao ikr, this guy is speaking shit out his mouth.
He’s an idiot and I’m not even convinced he ever drove that car.
Seriously, dude is tryna make a buck by with those clickbaity titles. It’s sad TBH.
It’s crazy this guy 😂
Really!! Everyone has a phone, kids, homeless etc.. Nav embedded is not an issue since everyone I know uses either Apple car play or google play. Nice try bud.
If people don’t have a phone for navigating then they must know how to read a map😂
This is false information because the Subaru Crosstrek is a car you should buy if you want a reliable compact SUV
I have owned the Crosstrek for 8 years now. What BS.
It’s like buying a cabbage and not liking it cause nit didn’t taste like a watermelon 🍉
No bro it’s like buys cabbage thinking you bought lettuce 😂
Just bought a 2021 crosstrek and couldn’t be any more in love with it
There's nothing wrong with the Crosstrek. My '22 Limited is great. If this vehicle is too small for you, then go with an Outback or another make and model all together. Perhaps the Honda Pilot or Acura MDX.
I agree. I have a '22 Limited as well. Just shy of two years now. No buyers remorse here. It seems more like your friend didn't do their homework before buying a vehicle not suited to their needs. You cannot blame the car for that.
Well sir you just simple did not do your research before purchasing the vehicle.
I want my 5 mins back 😢
I didn’t last that long
Thumbs down review
Very strange criteria. I've had my '21 Sport for a little over a month and I'm absolutely in love. Especially taking it up to the mountains in snow and getting waved through chain control like it's nothing. It almost drives better on a couple inches of snow and ice than on pavement, but it's a great daily driver (Michelin CrossClimate 2s help too.) And... no navigation is the 'problem'? Dude, who doesn't have an Android or iPhone at this point? The CarPlay implementation is pretty much flawless. For the $29 grand-ish I spent (with only 30k miles), I think it's a HUGE value.
I just got a 24’ premium, and I love it. I just wish it was available in stick shift, but the CVT has really surpassed my expectations. And yes driving in snow, mud, ice, even steep Jeep trails is where this little car shines. It blew me away how capable it is off road. And yes, still under $30k brand new I don’t know how he considered that expensive.
What a waste of my time! It seems you are disappointed solely by the navigation app. However, I'd like to highlight that this car, rated 87 by Consumer Reports, the highest score among subcompact SUVs, offers much more than just navigation. With its AWD capability, it's perfect for both urban commutes and off-road adventures. Not to mention, its impressive ground clearance ranging from 7 to 9 inches depending on the model, ensuring a smooth ride in various conditions. And how about the Eyesight System? It's like having an extra set of eyes on the road, monitoring traffic movement, cruise control, and more. While navigation might be a concern, there's so much more this car excels at!
Did i just watch a video about a grown man, bitchin and whining?
You can't go wrong with a well maintained Subi
Probably the worst review I’ve seen. The main key points to watch out for is 1. CVT transmission, make sure you keep up with transmission fluid changes as scheduled. 2. Direct injection motor, keep up with intake fuel cleaning services to prevent carbon buildup on the intake valves. Along with other regular maintenance this car will easily go 300k+ miles before a catastrophic failure. Owner of 21 crosstrek sport.
It is port injection I believe. The fuel washes over the valves after passing the throttle body. Cheers.
This is a video about why you don't like Subaru. That's all well and good. But I don't need my vehicle to come with navigation. Though if it does have navigation I would want it to work.
None of these issues you listed though give the impression that the vehicle won't run or won't get you where you're going.
People are still buying manufacturer nav in cars? That's the biggest sales gimmick in history. I don't know anyone that uses built in nav at all. And the "garage he shows with all the cars parked along the street... where's the garage?
You buy Subaru for the 4 wheel drive system
I love my Subaru...i can navigate without a phone so it's not necessary. It's roomy until I need to move. But that's not an issue
Mine is not upgraded even . You'd hate it
You are definitely not the target audience for this product. This car is the best bang for your buck if you're looking for utility and practicality
Basically if you don’t have an android or an iphone (like 0.43% of current american population) the crosstrek is not for you
is he trolling or was this serious?
Bro needed content. Asked his obese friend what he didn't like about his new car and then parroted that back to the camera. 😂 extremely lazy content.
So you’re telling me not to buy this vehicle because the phone App sucks? 😂 okay 🙄🤦🏻♂️
Lmao imagine complaining about a cross trek being expensive. Here I am with my 21 sti that ran me 43k plus tax brand new followed by 32k in modifications I’ve done so far.
LOL, it never ends! Change this, now I wanna change that... Gotta love Suby's though! I've been thinking about doing a 400-450 HP Crosstrek lifted with mudders and flares.
@@kirkwilson5905 that sounds like a fun build
I am not sure where you live but here in Canada, a 2024 Crosstrek Convenience is the most affordable and most capable SUV you can buy! I can tell you that here almost everyone has a cellphone. I appreciate your opinion but as an owner, I consider this video as a lets bash the car to get hits! 👎
I purchased a ‘23 WRX Limited back in August. Nearly ran me $40k, but worth every cent. Subaru is definitely a carmaker where you get a bang for your buck. I don’t know what you’re smoking, but that shit must be good.
$27,400.00 2024 Crosstrek, in the Premium model. The App has been outstanding
I’ve owned it for 2-months and truly enjoy this vehicle.
This is idiotic.
😂...Dude's wearing a Kmart special v-neck t shirt and he's complaining about the cost of a Subaru and the options?!! And he said the Crosstrek is approaching luxury pricing with those options?! Does this dude even know what a luxury vehicle is? Lastly, he complains about the App "issues" because that's what he heard. Most clueless and worst review ever. What a joke! 🤦♂️🤷♂️🤡🤡🙄
Doesn’t like the app cause he heard it was not good but never spoke from his own experience using the app. Hmmm
need more room?....you buy the forester base then for close to the price of a crosstrek premium ....and it gives you the bigger 2.5 engine
A. It’s priced average for its class B. I don’t think any comparable cars come standard with Navigation (I doubt you are buying a brand new car if you don’t have a phone) and they will connect your phone for you at the dealership if you don’t know how C. The app does suck
Size category was very stupid. Well if you are a bigger person or need don't buy a compact hatchback
glass half empty guy.
I have a 2023 Forester Wilderness. I use the app all the time. It work pretty good and I have never have a problem with it. Love that you can set the AC or Heater when you start the car from the app. As for the Nav the subaru one is pretty much like any Nav that you get in a car in that price range. It can be frustrating to use but with google makes it way easier. As for space you should have looked into the forester instead. Its got plenty of room. So much my GF and I sleep in the back comfortably when we go camping.
I own a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. I have no issue and no lag with the screen. Easy!
My mom got a subaru crosstrek 2021. The space is good and handles very well, especially during the winter when needed. I highly recommend it.
What an 200IQ move XD Buy a small raised hatchback and complain that it's not the size of an big SUV. Guy is deluded
I have to disagree. About the navigation that is a personal preference, so I understand for some people that it would be a problem but for me I’ve always used navigation from my phone so it’s not a problem for me. Now for the Subaru starlink app I’ve had no issues. And I got the premium so it was definitely not the most expensive model but for price and features I feel like I got a lot more than I would have gotten from something like the Toyota Corolla cross, or something like that. I think that the only other car in this class that would be a good competitor would be the Mazda, the CX-5 I believe is the model that is closest to the crosstrek, but to get one with similar features it was maybe just a little more. But I really feel like getting a car with awd, decent ground clearance, and all the great features under $30k was a really good deal. I don’t really understand how you think this is expensive compared to other cars in this class. I love mine.
Looking to buy a crosstalk and see this WTF
I'm actually looking into buying one of these. I couldn't care less about navigation since I would just use google maps and I wouldn't ever use the app. The price I pay for superb winter driving is all I care about.
Thanks for your insight and explanation on the more options you add a vehicles purchase price will increase. Never really understood this anomaly.
I just can't ever see a situation where having navigation is necessary anymore or a situation where I would actually use it. I imagine anyone who doesn't have a phone probably has a Garmin and a point and a 5 Megapixel Sony Cybershot from 2005 as well lol
My phone has navigation, does yours?
By making navigation an optional extra, they can offer a lower starting price and allow consumers to choose whether or not they want to pay for it. Most don’t want it.
why your mouth going side ways trying to maintain accent ??
How about the engine performance?
We have a 2016.
In the 100K km we have driven it so far
only oil changes, tires, brakes, and spark plug.
Easy to work on.
Grips the road like nothing any average consumer would buy.
I know a few mechanics with their own shops who also think our vehicle is great
This is the most ridiculous car review on TH-cam. Reason? There are no valid reasons for why you are trashing this amazing compact car. I own one, and absolute love it. It’s a well designed, well built, high quality car and a great value for money. Yes, it’s small, but did you not notice that when you bought it? Seriously duh 🙄
I love my 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. The app connects to my phone with no problems (I'm rich so I actually have a phone).
My '03 wrx has no features and I like it that way!
You don't drive it what is a navigatior a boat
I’m glad I had to keep in mind that these were your personal opinions. Because… yeah. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
It’s expensive with all the package or add-0ns
I got mine 34k OTD with VIP pricing. Let me know what luxury vehicle I can get new for 34k that doesn't Nickle and dime me with subscriptions.
I’ve had my crosstrek for two years and it’s been terrific I have had minor issues but it’s nothing that would change my mind about the car
Love my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek . 7 years , daily use, still same battery , my money goes only gas and tires main so far .
People who buy Subaru's don't buy them for their App's, screen, etc. Not only that, but I never had a problem with any of their connectivity points. Great little car.
How many Crosstreks are on the road? They’re everywhere. I would imagine if they sucked, no one would buy them, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. This guy is trying hard to be a TH-camr but hasn’t done a shred of research. This is like saying a Toyota Corolla is junk and you shouldn’t buy one. Numbers don’t lie.
Marked down for not having a nav system that no one will use, an app that he's heard isn't great but doesn't seem to really have tried it, and for it being smaller than a full sized SUV when it's in the bracket below a full sized SUV. If he's joking, he's got a great poker face😂😂
Have you tried driving on straight ice yet
No need for navigation since most people have a cellphone with maps which pair with Apple play or Android apps.
I purchased a cross trek absolutely love it and fuel economy is amazing
You could have paid for the package 33 which comes with Navigation…
Also I’m 6’1, 230 lbs and fit comfortably in the back seat.
People who buy $25,000 cars don’t have phones?
The APP “from what I’ve heard”….bro hasn’t used the app.
Yes cars with more features cost more money….
Yes, small compact crossovers tend to be small and compact….
I’m not normally a negative person, but you should feel bad about this video .
I LOVE my 2022 Subaru Crosstrek base model. It comes with heated seats... I traded in my 2021 Kia Forte GT Line for it.
you are right some people doesnt have a phone. How they can afford a car then?
For the most part, built in nav systems are inferior, they aren't supported for long, have few updates, and have way less info than using Apple or Android.
Who needs navigation when you have your phone? Love my Crosstrek. Perfect size.
people who don't have phone will not pay for a car with NAV let alone for nav updates
The two complaints I have heard is that the cladding in ugly and that it is very slow. Other than that its a nice car. I like the ground clearance we have epic pot holes in Pennsylvania i have lost tail pipes and mufflers many times on the Pennsylvania roads we had a bus fall into a pot hole in Pittsburgh and had to have a crane come pull it out.(technically a sink hole)I wish they made the impreza taller and that would solve most of the problems I have with this car except for the power.
It's not a luxury car. It's not even in the 50k range. Nobody uses integrated GPS, carplay/androidauto are more important.
Sorry but a quick cut intro for a 3min video...... doesn't make any sense
I hope you dont make this your day job, because this is the worst car review ever. I have a ‘24 CT limited at 11.5K miles and I have experienced NO issues that you mentioned.
Bro what kind of review is this?! First of all, if there’s android auto or carplay in all honestly WHO USES THE FACTORY NAVIGATION?! What research has this man done?? I own a used 2019 Subaru crosstrek currently with 85k miles. Not used for ridesharing, maintenance costs are still good. Haven’t replaced anything major or any crazy repair bills. What he said in this video can be said for literally any crossover suv out there.
It's a good thing that the ancient Arab travelers did not need to have a browser, the world would not be the same today.
thanks for this dude, that was funny.
"From what I have heard?" What luxury new car can you get in the low 30s?
Who's buying a brand new car, but doesn't have a phone?
Don’t take my word for it, go test drive one for yourselves. This guy has no idea what he’s talking about.
So things a simple test drive would identify and not really issues with the car.
I love my Crosstrek. It's a fair price for today's market
Ever hear of Waze? No one uses in car navigation.
Got car but no phone?? Nowadays????
One of the best cars I have ever owned. Review does no cover car only soft ware and apps
I don’t like my Subaru either. I wouldn’t buy one again, and my issues are different than yours.
PSA, if you dont have a smart phone you should buy a smart phone before a crosstrek. They are extremely useful in today's economy.
I bought a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness, it's the best car I ever had. Go and buy one they are awsome
Do you think its a bad idea to choose the sport if one drives a decent amount of Highway miles, rarely off roads and has no interest in towing but still needs something with good snow handling 4 months out of the year and something to carry a bicycle plus Kayak?
@@spectrepar2458 Yes, it's basically the same
I was going to watch this video, but then I saw his several videos of "Never buy a Mercedes, or an Audi or Problems with Toyota" etc etc etc. OKAY, I WILL DEFINITELY BUY A 2024 SUBARU CROSSTREK WILDERNESS IN APLINE GREEN FOR SURE! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS VLOGGER! GHEEZ.
29k views with only 78 likes… speaks volumes on this guys take lol.
Nav is available in the limited. Do your research Abe.
software concerns ? you tube reviews might not be your thing
What are you talking about? My two thousand and twenty has navigation
he doesn't like it because it doesn't have navigation system!! 😆🙄🤔 Who needs navigation when you phone connects to your car.
I think there’s sth called the Apple CarPlay. And what do you expect for 20k lol, a Ferrari?
Most cars don’t have built in nav
So you're hating on a car that you've never even owned just word of mouth and just a little bit of time you spent in one just because you can't afford it don't hate it
Fix your own problem, not complain about the car😅
Only boomers want navigation.
