Not to mention we have beaches(depending on where you're from), which results in various degrees of swimwear that shows a variety of skin. It is interesting remembering my Mormon days and realizing how women need to cover up and make sure they don’t cause impure thoughts in males. I remember one talk during church where a woman that had boys said that “no we all need to be accountable and boys should make sure they are modest as well. Whether it be clothes or how they talk about our young women and vice versa.” I really liked that Sister since she finally said it. Boys are just as accountable for their thoughts and how they dress as well. It was refreshing.

The best thing you can do to flex on people like this is just to quote the most horrendous passages of the Bible to them. You'd be absolutely shocked how many of them don't even know their own holy book or have committed sins directly out of it without knowing.
in my experience, atheists, especially ones who left religion, are far better versed in the bible than actual christians. It’s a hell of a faith-killer when you actually examine the text with a critical eye.

If you're really interested in expanding your perspective and you're not just trying to make me argue myself into a corner because a conflicting opinion makes you feel uncomfy, go educate yourself.

I was taught in Catholic school that God isn’t actually a boy or a girl, but a non-gendered entity that transcends the traditional concept of gender and we just use “He” because the authors of the Bible wrote to their best understanding within the context of their patriarchal society :P
If God truly does exist and transcends the traditional concept of gender, doesn’t that validate transgender and non-binary identities? Would that make transgender and non-binary people more “like God” than cisgender people? 🤔
God is neither male nor female. That is true. However he created humans as Male and Female. (Intersex people are still one or the other) there is no mention of something called Non binary in the bible.

Believe me, Christians who divorce are the BEST at evading being exposed for it. My divorced mother's argument is that divorce is only wrong 'if you're going to cheat on your partner or already did ' and because she's hasn't been in a relationship since the divorce it's 'ok'.
