I will never understand why people like Abby seem to think that marriage has become a conservative ideal, considering liberals and leftists fought for YEARS for marriage equality (and continue to fight to protect it). And liberal groups tend to be the ones promoting information and resources that focus on healthy relationships, open communication, safe sex, and abuse prevention, which tend to be critical foundations for a healthy marriage. Like, it’s so clear that it’s not about “marriage” in general but about a very specific type of marriage.
Conservatives want a trad marriage, with all of those connotations. Liberals want a healthier marriage, with all of the connotations(?) with that

Most scholars seem to think it was a combination of A) making sure clothing was visually distinct between men and women, whose dress was becoming closer in style than previous generations, and B) being inefficient and unproductive was a way for the wealthy to flex on the poors, and having elaborate dress that required assistance from servants/maids is a way to visually flex your wealth.

Hi, bi girl with religious parents here. Homosexuality is not criminalized in my country but there's a lot of homophobia because of toxic masculinity in Latinoamerica. Just a few months ago a boy couple were called out by a security guard because of simply holding hands at the mall. So I might not be as oppressed as some people cause firstly I have some privileges and I'm closeted to my family, I understand your struggle through and through. I hope anyone in the community can either get out of their homophobic country/household or create a safe space within it. I wish everyone around the world could live happily free. I hope I will, someday.

I admittedly dress very conservatively, but that’s mostly because I like big comfy sweaters and I hate wearing pants so I wear long skirts or dresses a lot. Yeah, I used to dress in very revealing clothing when I was younger. But it was just a phase, just like my other phases (hippy/bohemian, skater, emo, etc). A lot of those phases were conservative; some weren't. Now, I just dress like a normie and conservatively. It's not because I look down on my old styles. It's just not me anymore and it's a lot easier to just wear jeans and a shirt or blouse. I dont have to think about it when I get dressed and I just dont want to be looked at anymore

Which is their own problem since feminists don't care to tell other women how to live their own life. As a feminist myself, i don't go trying to shut trad wifes's channels down or erase their voices from the media or the internet.
That goes fundamentally against my beliefs of women to choose the way they live.
Teya agrees with the more generalized advice that Abby gives, i.e: "Know yourself, dress however you feel comfortable" because is pretty good advice. But she defies the traditional concepts of femininity and musculinity (i.e: "a masculine twist to my fashion is buttons and jeans") that Abby has been taught and the contradictory idea of "find your own style, but ONLY under my criteria of femininity".
The reasons why she disagress are pretty out there, she's a lesbian with a not so traditional way of living, dressing or expressing her femeninity. She states multiple times in the video that she has a problem with people like Abby thinking they are being "silenced", or "have to hide" when literally no one is forcing them to live any other way, but they clearly do expect that from people who deviate from their traditional views.
