- Repairing chipped windscreen using RainX resin repair kit.
How to repair a chipped windshield or scratched screen, or even cracked windscreen if you’ve got the patience - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
YES
IMHO, if the repair stops any cracks developing, its a success
YES. Tbh that’s the main reason for doing it so hopefully it will stop it developing into a spider web
The music was: Hot Chip - Over and Over. Nice choice mate! Loved that song. Thanks for reviewing this, much appreciated.
Thanks for noticing!
Pretty much all the songs I use in my videos have some kind of well thought out, well maybe not well thought out, but do usually have some kind of relevance to the video 😃
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Ahhh, from now on I'll pay a lot more attention to all the music within. Great channel mate.
You always amaze me 👍
Thanks G ❤️
Great content Mr! I quite like the educational direction of the channel. More and more proper jobs being presented in the videos, although I'm sure there will be some occasional bodge ups and scotch locks but that is just the charm of your channel!❤
another cracking video 🤝
Thanks mate.
P.s. I see what you did there 👀
This was very good handy for a DIY repair! I think this is why windscreen repair companies use a di grinder in the chip to remove the deep dirt, but still this was a brilliant repair! Nice job 👍
Thanks mate. I’m not sure about using a di-grinder, I’ll have to look that one up
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I think that’s what they use, maybe a diamond tipped one?? Not sure if it’s something I would be comfortable using especially without reaching first!
@@Cavalier_Steve yea me neither lol. I would expect it to be something like that cos glass is proper well ‘ard, hence why the blade doesn’t scratch it 🤔
Good video bruv, there was a UV activated superglue which came with a small blue UV key fob light, that was sh*t hot....a few drops on the chip, 10 seconds of blue light and it was gone.
Thanks mate. You can use a uv light to activate this quicker too but I didn’t have one so had to rely on the copious quantities of sunlight we get here 🙄
YEEES!❤😂 LOOKS GOOD
YES
Turned out alright for the cost and time it took I think
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos yes i was surprised it accidentally worked out ☺️
The Peugeot 107 use the same windscreen as the Lamborghini [almost] and they're expensive.
Actually this product is real handy, I'm gonna get some.
Cheers for the tip.
You mean Lamborghini use the same windscreen as the Peugeot. They’ve got to use some premium parts on their cars to justify the rrp.
The kit is surprisingly easy and quick to use though 🙃
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos 😂 True.
I can see clearly now , why you did this video :P
🤣
Messing aside ,,, great result ,,
Thanks mate. I’m happy with it, especially for what it cost and how long it took to do
Hi I have a question here it does this thing work or not?
Seems to
think with that stuff it dont help if the windscreens slightly tinted ,it dries clear and seems to show ,thats what i found
Yea that’s a good point actually
Chips ... mmmmmm.
Wow ,,, at 2:17 I thought it was a space invader flying past ,, it was spectacular . I loved it , sort of like a Close Encounter of a special kind and not in your wee blue beast.
Microchips 💪
Scraping the blade against the windscreen made me cringe 😬 Great result nonetheless 👍🏻
It feels like you shouldn’t do it, but it shouldn’t scratch the screen as the glass is harder than the steel
I think it would work better if you cleaned the glass properly with some isopropyl alcohol.
And warmed the screen up using the cars heater.
I've got glass cover on my insurance, but last time I tried to claim, when some bag head smashed a window to steal my tools, the repair company said I'd have to wait 5 days!!
The chip has been there since before I got the car so u don’t know how old it actually is, but I think it came out alright. There was some really fine cracks around it that it made totally disappear, but you can’t see them in the video before I injected it

Thanks mate. Any improvements are mainly down to the tripod you sent me 🤣
