    The game isn't all that hard to play. Basically, think of the low cards (2-5) as zero points, mid cards (6-10) as 1 point and high cards (J-A) as 2 points. If two cards are known (your hole cards), play if you have 2 points or more. If three cards are known (your hole cards and 3rd street), play if you have 3 points or more. If four cards are known, play if you have 4 points or more. You should fold otherwise. Always make the max bet if you have a pair of 6s or better since you can't lose. There is more to it than that to play perfect strategy. But, if you play with that simple strategy, you'll do better than 90% of the players out there that chase way too many losing hands. I will say that Mississippi Stud requires a large bankroll due to the volatility of the game. Even, at a $5 table, you can easily drop $300-$400 in a few minutes if you have a run of 8-10 non paying hands in a row which definitely happens.

    I play side bets, but I double my main bet to cover the side in case I lose it.

    How many decks of cards is this game played with and does it vary from casino to casino?

      Stephen Sailer I generally see it played with 1 deck. if you played with more than one deck it wouldn't make sense because you could potentially get a 5 of a kind and that is not computed in the pay outs.

      the winning ratio is ~ 1 in 6 to win, 1 in 10 to push so losing 5 hands in 15 minutes isn't anything special

    Saying no to sidebets doesn't make much sense. I gamble for fun and entertainment purposes. Of course I'm going to do side bets. I have three times as much fun doing it. Especially with the trips+ Progressive paytables. If the side bet pays well. Your wins on the main game can run parallel with your wins on the trips bet I find that I will end a session much higher with the trips bet than I ever will playing only perfect strategy without sidebet. And like I said, before, it is much more entertaining

    To my knowledge, at 4:56 he should have 3x the entire hand since he couldn’t loose on a low pair but he chose to 1x on the 4th street and missed out on some cash.

      No, any pair 5 and below makes u lose. Pairs 6 n above pushes. So that's why whenever u get a low pair, u always see the first hand

    • @larryw1279
      @larryw1279 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sethro - Yes, you can lose on a low pair. Only 6's & above are winning hands, he has 4's

    Funny that they never show the players getting their ass handed to them, when that is actually the reality - it's how the casinos got built. Pairs of Kings flying all over the place, everyone at the table winning, lol, yeah, right. Keep playing and keep paying, suckers, we'll be there to gladly relieve you of any cash you happen to have lying around. Signed, the Casinos.
