Hi Michael, I have been dealing dice in Las Vegas for 24 years. I like your video. Yes we crap dealers are sticklers for drinks and other item on the rail. That is what the "shelf" is for. After watching your video, I would like to mention a couple of things. Just because the puck is black it is not necessarily the time to "buy in". The time to "buy in" is when the dice are in the middle of the table. That is the time to make your bets, and buy in. If the dice are out and the shooter has them, it's always best to wait until the shooter rolls the dice before sticking your hands in the layout. Once the dice are brought back to the middle, then you can make your bets and buy in. A good stickman will be aware of any potential buy-ins, and wait for this to occur. Always look to see where the dice are before sticking your hands in the layout. If you need further help, just shoot me a message and i can go over every single aspect of the game from a dealers perspective to help your followers understand more. We can go in to much more advance stuff as well. Just wanted to clarify a couple of things. Great vids though.
I'm a casual craps player, and I have to say I find it absolutely amazing how dealers can keep track of all the bets, especially on a busy table. Maybe there's some secret to it, but it all seems like magic to me. I think most players take it for granted how skilled you guys really are. Always tip your dealers, kids.
I just played for the first time in Vegas last week and, like tcphll, I too was amazed by how they kept track of it all. One dealer also mentioned how they also recognize and remember people and their betting habits. I'd love to hear more insight on how all that works. Also the dealers help make craps fun and inviting. I'm hooked! :-)
The reasoning behind his even odds bets are funny. He says he cuts the house edge down, but he's also betting more. It doesn't influence the expected loss at all.
In value, yes but in % no. Just make sure not to overbet originally and it'll last you a longer amount of time, which is typical for craps and one of the fun things about it.
Excellent tutorial!! I've never played, but have always been fascinated by it, and now that I live within a reasonable drive of a casino, I want to learn. So I'll be watching the rest of your videos.
Cheers for this, I've been looking for "1324 betting system" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Teyamilla Speradic Unlocker - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.
17:30 For the best lesson in craps, they should have kept the camera focused on the table as the dealer collected ALL the bets from the table after that 7 out.
i rolled 32 in a row before carping out at the Atlantis in Reno Nevada and got entered in the long roll tournament on Jan 22... This was not my only streak that night... I think i was up in the 20's a few times...Stick man and pit boss were amazed at a guy showing up asking for lessons. If only I knew what I was doing and how to bet. would have taken the bank! this was only my second time at the table. Guess i got lucky. I'm registered and will be staying the previous night at the Atlantis if someone wants to give me some tips?? Great video! very informative! watching your next one now... Thank You...
Angelamariewyman no problem! I wish you worked at the casino I visited. I walked up to the craps table and asked if a seat was taken the dealer just shrugged at me and said “I dunno” I guess because I’m pretty young and don’t look like I had much money they weren’t interested in teaching me
Daer Michael, Thank You.Thank You.Thank You !!!!!! Your videos are fantastic Love the game, Ive played six times now, and I have kicked butt thanks to you !!!!! I play the pass line full odds and three come bets with full odds Its awesome!!! Just won at the Borgata for the second time, thank you for making these videos and teaching people the smart and correct way to play. Angela is absolutely breathtaking!!
At 14:14, are you only allowed to take your chips off the table after THOSE bets win? Are you required to take winnings off the table immediately, or can you leave them there to bet again? Are you ever allowed to take any or all chips off the table (between rolls) just because you want to?
How don't know how much the net win was at the end, but it seems like all the chips that were lost (come bets and odds on the points) after rolling a 7, and there were a lot, are only making up for all the chips won up until then. I'd like to know what the net win amounted to as of 17:40, and then again after rolling from 18:14 to the end. I wonder if I could at least earn minimum wage playing craps if done the same way come bets and odds, since 0.3 is still losing to the house, it just takes longer.
At 16:16 why do you say she hit another pass line bet when the winning 8 was the result of a come bet? There was no money on the pass line at that point.
Good explanations silver fox guy. And he is calm and patient and they show you the board while he's explaining. I'm gonna try my luck at the casino tonight!
Similar to a 'hand' in poker, what word is used to describe everything that happens between the come out roll and the point where people either win or lose all their chips and the next roller begins? Is it a 'round,' a 'game,' or something else? Can anyone just walk up and stand to the current roller's left and be next in line, cutting in front of others already at the table?
13 minutes in and my brain has nope'd out, I'm a Roulette/Baccarat player..this just seems like too much hassle to me but thanks for putting together the series for those that will get something from it :)
May I ask if the dice thrower refuse, get another urgent things to leave the table or unable to throw the dice during several throws, but he have not thrown the same number as passline or seven-out, but he still cannot continue to throw. According to the regulations, how will the game continue?
I noticed when you were talking about the come bets, when a seven comes out (17:35 on the video) and you have a come bet going don't you get even money on those bets? Also when you had come bets going and a 2 is rolled (17:20 on the video) don't you lose the come bets? Thanks
Pretty good video except for odds explanation. Actual odds based on a 5-4--3 are sucker bets. Why? The lower the odds bet the higher the house edge due to dilution by the line bet. An expert craps shooter, Mark Pilarski, who is an all around gambling pro, and who asked me to review some of his published works, has this to say about the subject: "The casino advantage on your total bet when taking odds combined with your Pass line wager on 1X odds is 0.85%; on 2X odds, 0.61%; on 5X odds, 0.33%, and on 10X odds, 0.18%. So, yes, Robert, double odds do work in your favor. The more odds you take, the greater the reduction in the house edge." Not quite right Mark, but close enough. He also wrote: "Finally, let’s not forget one important fact, all craps bets come at a cost. Craps is a negative-expectation game, meaning that no matter how you bet, even if it's a $2 Pass line wager with 10X odds, the house always has an edge on your action." I agree with both statements totally. I went regularly to Vegas, which wasn't built by winners, before casino gambling came close to my home near Detroit. I always played craps in Vegas at Binion's Horseshoe Casino which had the lowest overall house edge on all games, and the highest odds bets on craps. I saw Benny Binion a couple of times. What a crusty old coot. Ole Benny knew the gambling business up, & down, front & back, and all sides. He said all it took was good food, good whiskey, and a good gamble. He was right. His casino was the favorite of professional gamblers, and knowledgeable occasional players like me. He was right, at the time he had the only house where a gambler could take $750,000 in a valise, put in on the Don't Pass. And win. And get paid immediately. We all miss ya Benny.
Thanks for all your great videos. If you play neutral pass&don’t pass only to make the free odds bet what would the house vig be for single/double odds. It seems it would be lower than normal(.8 for single/.6 for double)because you will push on the pass & don’t pass and only risking money on free odds. So the only time you have money at risk where house has an advantage is on the come out roll and the only way to lose is if a 12 rolls and in that case you lose your pass but push your don’t pass.
Wow! Angela is like fine wine. She's looking more gorgeous with age! Not that she wasn't back in then. That said I'm more surprise to know that she's now a dealer? Or, perhaps she was already a dealer 4-years ago? In any case, love these videos. ;-)
Very good. He explains the perfect strategy here at the craps table to minimize the house take to 0.3% That's as good as it gets at ANY game in a casino. Most other bets at the table and other games in the casino are a minimum of 5% to 15% house cut!
Hey Mr. Shackleford, What do you know about a contact high?! Apparently Ms. Wyman you need to have a third more in-depth interview. By the way I got that under cover joke that caught him off guard, funny as he tried to stay focused. Beautiful and a sense of humor.
Nice video. The originals were also good. They helped me learn craps. One question I have is the odds bet on the come out roll for come bets. I thought the best way to play these was to leave your bets working. Neal
Michael I been trying for one you math wiz to do a video on those automated loaded bubble dice, it seems to target what ever style you are playing, I was playing here in Ohio the don't pass the only one playing, and it rolled 7 nine times in a row. I never could get out to even play, and it got some serious tricks if you play the right way too, so how are they getting away with this illumination, that the dice roll is random, it got to be section by the gaming commissions, because they don't seem to have any fear of losing their licenses .It must run on a slot principal , or licenses with a guaranteed payout.
After the point is established---from another instructional video I watched--they said you put your chips on the table & a casino employee verifies what you're placing your bet on. Is that correct? Because this video makes it look like players place their own bets where they want them to go. I suppose I could ask this question as when/where (on table) & when/where (on table) do you not place your own bets? Obviously you put your chips on the table...OK, I'm getting repetitive here.
Great video, keeping it simple helps those who are not up to speed on the game! Glad to see Angela back! Also if I were a beating man (wait I am!) I'd have to say that setup, the table, room etc. looks exactly like what Aaron Hightower (youtube) had when he was doing all his video's on craps. ( @ 4:53.... Hey look who showed up!!! )
You can have your odds on come bets working on come out rolls if you want. And you should have them working all the time. Turning odds off on come out rolls is like not taking odds for one roll. The odds for a seven to roll is always the same whether you want it or not. If you can have your flat bet not working on come out rolls, then you can have your odds not working on come out rolls as well.
You can choose to have your come bet odds working on come out rolls and you should. Having come bet odds off on come out rolls is like not taking odds for one roll.
This video looks so much better than the last one, but there's something wonky with the editing. I love Angela's confidence in this one though. In the first video she looked overwhelmed which, to be fair, is to be expected for a beginner. But now she's boss.
can somebody, anybody tell me if the betting on the table is the same as on the e-craps machines...i plan to make a trip to vegas in a few months and i dont know anyone that lives in vegas to ask. on a lay bet at the table you are supposed to put 40 dollars on the lay four and lay 10...plus 1 dollar vig...do you have to follow those same rules on the e craps machines like the aruze machines , organic dice , etc.?? can i put down a 10 dollar bet on the lay 4 on those machines since they can compute the math and give change etc.
The rules are the same, with the possible exception of how buy and lay bets are handled. You don't have to worry about betting in correct increments on the machines, the game should deduct the correct commission, even if your win is not a round amount.
To be fair, I think this is geared more towards new players, and while it is simple to ask the dealer to do that, it is something that is for people who are more comfortable with the game. I would be interested in seeing an advanced guide once this 'basics' series is done.
Come bets, big stacks, hard eight... Ok ok. hard four. So many responses to her flirty quip.. but I think he wanted to keep the video (or his life?) PG which resulted to a very uncomfortable moment.
At (21:15), turning off odds bets on the come out roll is foolish nonsense. Those bets should just continue being in play. Because they àre, after aIl, house percentage free bets (tho even that isn't strictly true because a house percentage loaded bet must previously have been placed to 'gualify' them).
Why aren't you mentioning the odds on each type of bet??? And, the waitress isn't the only person working at the casino for low pay. Don't forget to tip the dealers!
2:11 That “rack” joke threw him off a little bit 😂😂😂
lmao
She such a flirt 😚
“You’re telling me to keep my rack clear”
I saw that man fighting for his life not to look down in that moment.
Well made video. Great work.

Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate the friendly and flattering comments:) Makes my day!
Angelamariewyman Angela, you are a gorgeous woman. Hope to see more of you in various Craps videos.
Angelamariewyman wow u r so beautiful and classy

She has a great attitude. She works in Vegas so she obviously knows all of this stuff. She's a great presenter
strangebrew420 thank you so much!

Congratulations, I plan on playing at the Borgata this summer
she made a dirty joke 3 mins into the video. lmaoo. he looked so uncomfortable
So... you're telling me to keep my rack clear?
I was expecting a "don't come" jab but she went classic. Gorgeous lady.
2:15
Not sure why she felt the need to do that, lowers her in his eyes in case she doesn’t get that...
Jay Duby if you meant classy, hardly...
I read the credits, and thanks to Heather for 'creating' these videos and the other guys who pitched in.
Awesome to see you back Wizard + Angela!!!!
Thanks!
Love to see that Angela is having a good time and has a great spirit in the tutorial. Also, way more stunning as a strawberry blonde. Classic beauty!

Thanks for these videos. As a dealer I use these clips to help me explain craps to newcomers.

At 13:30, why is the 'ON" button sitting on 10 instead of 8 if 8 is the number needed to win?
At 16:16 why do you say she hit another pass line bet when the winning 8 was the result of a come bet? There was no money on the pass line at that point.
The size of the come bets at 13:20 don't match the size of the bets after the roll. And why is the dealer moving the chips to the 10 before the roll?
Nice to see the update. You're the best, Mike.
What did the stick man say at 10:13? I can't understand a word besides 'the dice are in the center."
At 9:13, shouldn't the ON button be sitting on the 9?
At 11:09 i am having trouble understanding why does he say 1.2x 25? Where does the 1.2 come from?
I think it is time for a new Craps video from the Wizard of Odds!
Good explanations silver fox guy. And he is calm and patient and they show you the board while he's explaining. I'm gonna try my luck at the casino tonight!
Her: "Can I touch them, or do I just reach down and grab it?" Him: "You can touch them."
Seriously though lol. I laughed when she said that right after the rack joke lol
Lol
Angela, Dan, and Michael are very informative

Lol I grew up all around the sunset. Went to the kids quest when I was a kid. It was refreshing to see the layout 20 years later. Love the place lol
It think it would of been more helpful to show more of the table where the bets are being placed. Though I did learn more than I knew. Thanks
22:22 What is the highland room? What makes a room liberal?
I LOVE YOU GUYS..! I win because you show me how to win...!!! THANKS A MILLION !!!!!
Where does he show to win? On his website?
Thank you and you're welcome. Glad we have helped. Don't give those winnings back too quickly.
May I ask if the dice thrower refuse, get another urgent things to leave the table or unable to throw the dice during several throws, but he have not thrown the same number as passline or seven-out, but he still cannot continue to throw. According to the regulations, how will the game continue?

Best beginner video ever.
LOL yeah if you want to lose faster.
I take it that craps as it is & was played on the street & in private games with no table is just a simplified version of Las Vegas craps games?
the look she gives at 2:19 lol... PRICELESS. I would've been speechless too. so gorgeous angela!

I agree with both statements totally. I went regularly to Vegas, which wasn't built by winners, before casino gambling came close to my home near Detroit. Odds bet only puts more money into the game, it does not reduce expected loss.
The probabilities on the rolls will determine that.
Thanks for all your great videos. If you play neutral pass&don’t pass only to make the free odds bet what would the house vig be for single/double odds. It seems it would be lower than normal(.8 for single/.6 for double)because you will push on the pass & don’t pass and only risking money on free odds. Does the odds bet have to be the max? Sorry, learning here. Thanks.
the stick man looks like he's having the time of his life... lmfao
😂😂😂
As he should be!
Neal
Hahaha he has the regulation length craps table in his living room!! I f’ing love it!
What's happening at 14:22? Trick photography? Now you see them, now you don't? The dealer is a magician.
Aaron Hightower, from GoodShooter.com . He had some really good theories on dice influencing. Table set up and super slow mo camera shots were great.
Is he a VERY good pinball player?
Michael I been trying for one you math wiz to do a video on those automated loaded bubble dice, it seems to target what ever style you are playing, I was playing here in Ohio the don't pass the only one playing, and it rolled 7 nine times in a row. I never could get out to even play, and it got some serious tricks if you play the right way too, so how are they getting away with this illumination, that the dice roll is random, it got to be section by the gaming commissions, because they don't seem to have any fear of losing their licenses .It must run on a slot principal , or licenses with a guaranteed payout.
At 17:36 she rolled a seven but one die did not hit the backboard, shouldn't that have been called a no roll??
On the come out roll, can u have working bets on any or all points?
After the point is established---from another instructional video I watched--they said you put your chips on the table & a casino employee verifies what you're placing your bet on. Is that correct? Because this video makes it look like players place their own bets where they want them to go. Love the updated video, folks! This is only sane craps lessons on TH-cam. There are a lot of nutjobs out there.
2:14 "Keep my Rack Clear..." as he chuckles and laughs :) You dog you!
Since he talked about the Come Bet soo much, I wonder why he didn't mention about a 7 being thrown while ur bet is in the Come?
Great video, keeping it simple helps those who are not up to speed on the game! Glad to see Angela back! Also if I were a beating man (wait I am!) I don't get this. You said that she must roll until she got a 10 or a 7, then why did the game stop when she rolled 11?

Hey Mike how about an updated video on Craps
Casino de isthmus chips.. are those PAULSON?
Where do I make the "come" bet again?
Do you lose the come bet if a 7 is rolled
Nothing about turning on the odds on the come out roll?
To be fair, I think this is geared more towards new players, and while it is simple to ask the dealer to do that, it is something that is for people who are more comfortable with the game. I would be interested in seeing an advanced guide once this 'basics' series is done.
when can you pull your bets off the numbers
you guys reminds me of "sheldon and amy presenting fun with flags" :D
I take that as a high compliment as I love Fun with Flags!
JHC if this video is more "to the point" Than the one 4 years ago i would hate to see that one. Was it 4 years ago or 4 years long??
"keep your rack clear" 😜 I'm surprised she didn't say anything about the come bets.
Come bets, big stacks, hard eight... Ok ok. hard four. So many responses to her flirty quip.. but I think he wanted to keep the video (or his life?) PG which resulted to a very uncomfortable moment.
What a little tease, I’m trying to learn the game of craps.
are you allowed to leave at any time
How about explaining why the odds are what they are for each number. Also a roll of 7, wipes out all bets except for the come which pays even money.
That guy in black looks miserable haha!
He looks and dresses like the guy from "The Office".
Theres no one in black
His idiot friend asked him to work for free to be in his little video
At (21:15), turning off odds bets on the come out roll is foolish nonsense. Those bets should just continue being in play. Because they àre, after aIl, house percentage free bets (tho even that isn't strictly true because a house percentage loaded bet must previously have been placed to 'gualify' them).
Gosh I'm just learning this but what does it mean when they say 6 to 5 or 2 to 1?
Those are odds in hitting it and lay out
So 6 to 5 means you have a chance to hit a number 6 times and 5 chances of losing it?
Eli the house has a 6 chance of winning. and you have a 5
Ooooooooooooo I see. You made it so simple after all the damn research I did lmao. Thanks. So what are the best bets. 6 to 5 and what else
When Mike said, "you can touch them," you know he was talking about HIS dice....
I can't even concentrate on this lesson. She is beautiful.
SIMP
Well im bout to get this bread 🍞
Sounds straight if u ask me chief
Neither could he apparently. Especially after she made that keep your rack clear comment
Lol
Odds bet only puts more money into the game, it does not reduce expected loss.
The probabilities on the rolls will determine that.
where does angela deal I wanna visit that casino
You can plainly see metal weights in the die when they turn up 2.
Why aren't you recording the table? We're just looking at you
If you roll first and roll a 5 and roll a 2 before you roll a 5 do you lose?
You lose your bet, but you don't lose your turn.
ahhh! keep that rack clear baby! hahahah
He no longer owns the website. He's now the mathematician formerly known as the wizard of odds!
Any relation to Rusty Shackleford?
Was he the neighbor on King of the Hill? No relation that I know of.
Close, Dale Gribble's alias he uses when concealing his identity. :P
Can anyone bet on the pass line? Or is it just the shooter?
Is his nickname Rusty? Does he have pocket sand?
Would be nice to see them using different color chips and more people to try and follow action with instructions. Good vid though
Why aren't you mentioning the odds on each type of bet??? And, the waitress isn't the only person working at the casino for low pay. Don't forget to tip the dealers!
i dont see web this game huhu. who can give me link this game please
What if you accidentally throw one or both dice off the table?
Nothing they pick up the dice. You have a chance to roll with "same dice" or pick a new one.
Nice Craps Table!
This prod quality is badass
Is he going to explain the seven the Lost
Cool Dwight is the croupier!
These comments remind me of the real comments you hear in a casino toward a female dealer.
True but those gorgeous dealers make bank.
