The exhaust pipe should be pointed downward so condensation can run out..Also the muffler has a drain hole in it and needs to be rotated the correct way.For the ones that don't know..
There are no issues at all starting up. I am going to make a video soon on how to do it! The cigarette adapter came from Amazon, link is in the description. I prefer to use the 12v DC adapter because it consumes less power than the AC adapter when plugged into my jackery.
Yes exactly consumes less power. Thx for the reply sorry didn't look in the description for the cigarette adapter. Look forward to your video on startup with the 12 volt. Lots of guys having trouble doing that. The shutdown phase as well . Am I correct that during shutdown it needs to draw power for the glowplug to burn off residual fuel? cheers,
@seanmercer9292 Hey! Yes, it has a small in-line filter after the line leaves the fuel pump. Before I put diesel in my Diesel Heater, I took it apart and checked all the fittings, lines, and wiring. Wanted to make sure everything was legit and it looked great inside.
Good to know, thx. I just got mine and running now. Very nice, certainly compared to the one I had 3 years ago. Well put together . Quiet pump solid build. I'm enamored with these heaters😂 cheers, thx!
Looking at buying one of these. Did you have to modify your jackery battery to get it tbrough the heavy initial start stage? Bescuse some other diesle heaters such as vevor, have issues with the initail startup due to how many amps its drawing. Thanks
@shrekmulem8tys162 Nope, no modifications. I have heard of people having issues. My Jackery is a 500 series, and the diesel Heater pulls about 90W for 3 minutes to start up and then drops down to 30W to 40W on high for as long as I want to run it. I'm getting ready to make a video of the heater in it's start up process. Would have done it today, but I didn't have any diesel on hand, and then I got stuck playing in the garage.
These types of diesel heaters will last for many years if you clean them. Mine is going strong with zero issues. The only maintenance that needs to be done is to take it apart and clean out the soot once a year. Cleaning out the soot from the chamber is necessary if you constantly use it at high altitudes or use dirty fuel.
Do you happen to know the diameter of the warm air outlet? I’ve ordered one and need to get some longer hose. LF Bros website doesn’t show outlet diameter. Thanks for the review!
@joshsaitta1381 The warm air outlet fits a 3-inch dryer hose perfectly. I use a 3"x16' hose from either HG Power or Hon&Guan. Careful with the longer hoses, the more 90-degree bends they have, the more they create hot air back pressure, which causes your unit to overheat and shut off. Smooth 45-degree sweeps are best. You will need some zip ties and a coat hanger to help brace.
Great! I was hoping it was 3”. There seems to be many more options for diesel heater ports, fittings and piping in that size. This should make my heater addition to my wedge camper much easier. I’m trying to install something more permanent and avoid just running a hose in the tent side door. Much appreciated! Great additional info too!! 🙌
How’s the noise from the fuel pump? The constant loud ‘tick-tick’ of other models is the most annoying thing with these. I have 2 8Kw Hcalory ones I’ve been running last few years and they’re great, but would be better without the constant ticking of the fuel pump which is near impossible to illuminate.
@GeeBeeMike I have heard of ticking being loud on other models, but in my opinion, it is not loud at all on mine. I honestly forget that I have a fuel pump because it is so quiet. I would say that the sound of the fan and ticking is minimal!
@TravisWilds I believe it is 4 foot long and very rigid. I didn't bother with the short hose at all. I just ordered the longer hose at the same time I ordered the Heater because I knew I was going to need it.
@ctclimberguy34 I have had it in light rain and had no problem at all. I personally would wrap the controller in a zip lock bag if you think it's going to rain. Great Question, thanks!
I extended my controller using land line telephone wire to put inside my vehicle. It's almost the same gauge wire .... I had the idea of using a clear water proof tupperware container to put the controller in.
hi, is the fan very noisy?? would it bother a vehicle parked 2 meters away?? I would like to use it at my son's motorbike races, but usually the vans are 2-3 meters from each other, I'm afraid it will disturb.
@mitchellbowman4393 The controller cord is very short, less than 12 inches. I guess it was only meant to be pulled out for replacement. The control that operates the heater is wireless and works from 20 feet away.
@4WDisLife Once you press the power button to turn it off, it has a built-in timer that will run the fan for a minute until it cools off. This unit actually has some really nice features.
Good video and explanation on the Bros.

Great video. This is prob the best video I have seen on this heater. After watching this I purchased it. I hope you post more about it later!
@keithschubert3164 I had to make it because I was having a hard time finding one. Thanks for the comment!
Where did you get the 12 volt cigarette adapter. Was there any problem starting up ? Is it 10 amp ?

I wish your video gets millions of views because you have great content. Try running ads for your channel using some kind of system.
Does it have a fuel filter? If so, did it look decent, whatever that might look like 😊

@DominionOverland awesome thank you
Not sure how long it last but this heater works really good and uses less fuel than my RV propane furnace

That is why I purchased the Bros, r/v propane furnaces us a lot of propane which is getting expensive.

On my Bros the outlet is 75mm, marked right on the outlet, which is around 3".

You can hear the fuel pump tick during the initial warm up stage. After that I don't hear it at all.
Great heater have the same one heating my 36 ft trailer little power house very quiet
Does the thermostat work well? Shut on / off when needed?
@darrent3869 yea it dose works really good
You have it inside the trailer out out side and ducted going into the trailer. I'm thinking about getting one for my 6x12 enclosed trailer
How long is duct work that came with it? Would you recommend using it or just buying the other right away
@TravisWilds I believe it is 4 foot long and very rigid. I didn't bother with the short hose at all. I just ordered the longer hose at the same time I ordered the Heater because I knew I was going to need it.
Is the controller waterproof to leave ouside to duct heat into a temt or truck camper?

@@osvaldodavia8844 Nope! Once you put the muffler on, it's really quiet! That's one of my favorite things about it.

awesome stuff, is there a turn off routine for these ? I have heard that you can't just unplug ? Thanks!
