Great review, thanks for the info! This video sealed the deal for me, gonna get one of these to heat my 400sqft insulated cabin, should be perfect for that 👍🏻
A good idea would be to have the exhaust pipe sloping in a downwards angle to let condensation run out the pipe. There might also be a small weep hole in the muffler, that should be facing down as well.
Thanks! I didn't even think of that. I was mistakenly concerned about the exhaust not wanting to escape and overheating. Would a slight down angle, say an inch be enough?
@@repairsupgradesandadventures The exhaust temps are around 200 degrees , I've read comments about condensation has anyone ever seen any dripout? Especially in dry winter air? Wondering if tis is an Internet created issue or a real one. On mine I see some moisture on startup for a few minutes max. never while running after warmed up.
Good video, and I have the same heater, received last week. With the short run of flex exhaust and considering how hot it gets you wont get much condensation. Good luck warming the shop.
I went ahead and changed it so it slants down. Better safe than sorry. Overnight lows here are usually in the 20s or lower during the heating season so I had some concerns about after it's turned off. It does a nice job taking the chill out of the air and I'm really happy that the pump is super quiet after the warmup. Here is the link to the video where I changed things. th-cam.com/video/UtDdxXUPMrg/w-d-xo.html
The exhaust should sloop downward NOT up like a tractor stack. It helps to drain any condensation out of the pipe... Also if you want you can turn the lcd screen the other way so your not looking at it upside down BUT you'll have to put a small notch in the case for the lcd screen holder to go back in. You'll see what I mean if you pull the holder out.
@@repairsupgradesandadventures I was about to say the same about the exhaust, but never mind. 😀 I've had the LF Bros heater for about two weeks now. I figured I better snag one before Trump has a chance to slap a tariff on them. I use it to heat my ham shack. It's been in the low 30s/upper 20's for the last week. I turn it on for a few hours at night to keep my ham gear a comfortable 65 degrees. I've also discovered if I put a can of chile where the heat comes out of the 3" tube, that it's nice and warm in about an hour. 😀 Oh...and ZERO ticking noise from the pump. That was one of my main worries about these heaters after researching other brands.
I have had one of these heaters for one week now. The blower and the furnace are so lowed that I can not hear the clicking of the pump. Am I doing something wrong or do I have a faulty product?
Not sure. I got the LF Bros because it has a quiet fuel pump. I'd say on high mines a little louder than a bathroom fan. Not one of those new super quiet ones, but an old Braun with a metal grill.
@@repairsupgradesandadventures Same as mine (the fan noise) but my radios are loud enough that the fan is just background sound. I usually turn it down to the 2.0 setting after it starts. If I ran it full blast, I'd heat myself out of the room. It's just an 8 * 12 area. 10-15 minutes and she's warmed up and toasty. 😁

My guess is it should keep your cabin seriously toasty probably on the lowest setting. Let me know how it works for you.

@@repairsupgradesandadventures Yep! just enough for gravity to do its work on water.
Awesome tutorial! Sure, beats freezing!
Yeah a guy can always go over to the outlet and enjoy some nice warm air.
The two i bought just came in today. Ill probably get em installed tonight. I was taken aback by the lack of an intake hose.
Me too at first, but it doesn't seem to phase it a bit. Don't make the same mistake I did in this video and have the exhaust running uphill.

Did you plug it into a wall plug
Yes. I used the included power converter to a wall plug.
