    I notice there’s some wiggling on the break side even when fully tighten.

      A little movement in the lever is normal. If the tolerances are too tight you risk the lever hanging up. - Van

    What are the best levers you have come across for a ninja 400?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We used several with good results. These from Norton are an excellent option IMO. - Van

    Most often the clutch free play is a nickels thickness between the perch and lever

      End of the day is just needs to be loose enough to make sure the clutch is not damaged. - Van

    Do we have to lube it? Don’t think I have those type of lube. Or we can use any other type of lube?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any type of common grease will get the job done. I always lube the contact an pivot points when I install levers. - Van

    Thanks Van. I've been on the Norton web-site and have a few thing's I want to get. They seem to do a great job in the product line of my Ninja 400. Those are some nice levers. Could you post a comment on the subject of the play in the clutch adjustment. I have mine adjusted where I can pull on the metal part that house's the cable at the adjustment screw to about a 1/4" or more, but in the video you are paying attention at the lever end to see if you have enough play. thanks

      The clutch lever on this bike has a unique feel because we are running the Norton spring over the end of the clutch cable to give the clutch lever a little more feel and make sure the actuator is fully disengaged. I like to pull on the cable as you have described and feel for the slack in the lever when adjusting.
      End of the day the most important thing is to make sure the adjustment is not too tight so the clutch plates have all the pressure from the springs applied to them. - Van

    What do u have ur setting on the clutch play?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When adjusting the clutch cable you need to make sure it is not too tight or the clutch will start slipping. Once it slips it will need to be replaced. I always run just a little extra play in the clutch lever to avoid issues. - Van

    Hi van, can you tell me what handle bar tube you are using to fit that driven hand guard

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are Woodcraft clip on tubes on the bike. - Van

    Would the Norton levers fit the z125 pro? Just so happen to be in the market.

    Silly question but I just put these on my 400, stcok fairings. At full turn of the bars there is contact with the fairings. What adjustments or trimming do you recommend?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would install a steering stop to minimize or completely eliminate this. The Ninja 400 has an overly long sweep of the bars from the factory. We run these on the race bikes and there is no reason not to use this on the street. Here is a link on our site:
