    Glad to see this business still thriving. I used to order from these guys in the late 2000s. Brian used to answer the phone and take orders himself when they were busy. I stopped riding around 2010 and just now starting to get the itch again. I see new orders in my future here...

    Looks great and seems like a fun project, good luck to him in his races
    It's kind of a shame that companies didn't continue making beefy small bikes like they did in the 90s, e.g. the RVF400, with the double front discs, upside down forks, 4 cylinders, etc. These 300's and 400's look fun and all, but it would be cool if they were truly the small versions of their bigger brothers in the engine department.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree it would be nice if there was a better chassis that uses the same 400 power plant. In stock trim the Ninja 400 is a very basic motorcycle, it takes a lot to make this into a good race bike. - Van

    Great looking bike! I love the Nicky Hayden tribute decal on the tail section. You mention the green brake lines for contingency. Do you have to have a certain percentage of green on the bike?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kawasaki requires a certain amount of Team Green be on the bike to qualify. Last year some teams were running a green front fender, we decided to have some green all over the bike. I even popped for some OEM Kawasaki wheel stripe kits for all the wheels. - Van

      Both Joe and Max had a great weekend. We are friends with Kayla and feel the same way. End of the day the call was correct (not just because it worked in our favor) but the series should have done a better job of handling the situation. I have discussed this with them and they were receptive. MotoAmerica is doing a great job overall. - Van

    Hey Van, love the vids - what is the wet weight of this race prepped 400? Also, did you guys test the fork brace from the earlier build vid’s and decide not to use it?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The fork brace is not legal in MotoAmerica so we no longer run it. The minimum weight for the Ninja 400 is 137kg. Max's bike weighs 139.5kg with no fuel in the tank. - Van

    hey man, thanks always for the videos,
    i have a problem and you are the only one who talks good about the ninja 400.
    so i was trying to do a 4 pin adapter for the tail conector diagnóstic and i put loose wires on the pins, i found a diagram in the internet that says that 1 of those pines is called K Line, so i put a wire and the wire touch the red conector of the battery and made a cut, now the bike it doesn't start, and the keys if i put in on/ignition position it doesn't do anything, please help, I hope I explained it well

      Undo anything you have done and recheck. If you still have a no start condition check all of your fuses. If they are all good it is possible you have damaged the ECU and will need to replace it. - Van

    are all bikes engine internals in the MOTO AMERICA JUNIOR series have to be stock or can be gutted and replaced with full on racing materials like the World Super Sport 300 series in WSBK ?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the Ninja 400 there is not much that can be done to the engine. Cam timing, under cut trans and polished trans are pretty much it. The R3 you are able to do quite a bit more to so the power will be on par with the restricted Ninja 400. - Van

    So, hang on - and again, I beg your patience with me. You're saying there's a double banjo off the master, and the extra one goes to a data box in the dash itself? It reads fluid pressure thru an actual hose?!? Because that trick as hell.
    Like I said, I dunno s**t so maybe that's elementary to everybody, but it blows my mind that the other end of that brake line is going into a computer.
