@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Red is my favorite color too.😍 Just found & ordered the equivalent of your Soil Wetter and Seamungus! Now, I'm in business.
I'm from Brazil, specifically tropical ocean coast. It seems impossible to me to leave a succulent without water for more than a week here in summer. I've always noticed that this rare use of watering usually comes from people far on the hemispheres. Temperatures are much stable. In summer it's around 30° and 25° in winter, it will rarely drop bellow 20°! Also, days and nights are almost perfectly splitted in half. Most succulents are almost always active.
We also water frequently for plants we'd like to propagate fast. We only hold off on watering to make the plant color up. In our summer, I hold off on watering because the plant usually boils up and die because of the heat. In the garden, I hardly water at all since the garden beds contains a lot of moisture enough for the succulents to survive till it rains.
You are amazing and full of knowledge. I wish I understood English well. Make us a video about assassins growing in winter and assassins growing in summer. I live in an area where in summer the temperature is 47 degrees and dry. Thank you
i have an experiment, putting gasteria in my balcony and got 7-9 degree 3 weeks ago, and now -2 degree.. i checked it this morning, still alive...I just hope to see it again in same condition. never watered it since then..

Only the pots that weren't watered by the rain and are really dry. The pots or areas that were watered by the rain and are exposed; doesn't need watering or soil wetter at all.

Thank you for your sharing this Liz. Just wondering, can we use soil wetter everytime we water the succulents or only when the soil dry? I'm from South Australia.
@@sopanaoneill8186 Yes that's right. Only use soil wetter when the soil doesn't absorb plain water. I don't want to repeat myself but please let me make this clear.
