Don't forget motor mounts wear out around 40-50k and front suspension spring upgrade, or fluid check/change/heavier fluid.

Just bought my first Harley, an 2003 Dyna anniversary edition. Really like this bike. Do you still answer comments and questions on this video?
For instance, what do you use to clean/ polish the black engine parts and bring that back to life a little?

i wrench at a performance shop for a living and mainly tune LS cars.. just the last few years ive started to expand into 2 wheel tuning/building! my 2013 Anniversary edition superglide had a VH FP3.. i tune weekly on TTS and Powervision.. it is absolutely NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE compared to capabilities and how in depth you can go! once you learn how Closed Loop actual works, youll see there's no replacement for an actual dyno tune, but with wideband o2's from Dynojet PV Target Tune or TTS's equivalent, youll have more or less your own dyno tune right at the tips of your fingers, and able to tune your bike for any future mods, heads cam TB or even a Big bore kit! ... Trust me, the opportunities are endless, and the quality of the tune is second to none with the powervision and TTS.. I personally use PV on my dyna and street glide but TTS is equal just a bit harder to use!
I would GLADLY send you a solid base tune file or your own Volumetric efficiency tables and air fuel ratios.. AS LONG AS you make a video showing your face before and after you get on the throttle lol itll be night and day compared to your current set up AS WELL AS lower temps, better mpg's in the cruising range, and wayy more power on demand when you need it!! ive tuned over 130 dynas in the past two years (again, i do NOT tune 2 wheelers daily, its become a side job and me talking my boss into a used dynojet and expanding our services, but im known in my area and damn good i must say for how quickly ive picked it up... JUST upload it and if you dont like it, post on here and say "this guy is an idiot and gave me a shit tune and i changed it before i made it to the end of my street" lol.. i bet my own Harley till feel like you accidentally got on a different bike!!
lastly, how do you like the bassani exhaust??? every single "performance" oriented dyna ive had on my rollers at work has had mainly two exhausts!! D&D Fatcat 2-1, and vance and hines pro pipe!! both make SOLID power well in excess of 96ci, but as far as "quality" or "craftsmanship" is concerned, companies like bassani stand out! but im just worried their yard ornament type exhaust that dont have the necessary backpressure and other necessary things to hang with the pro pipe and fatcat! Let me know what you think on the bassani!! thanks man!

Wow hell of a reply. I’d def be interested in trying to squeeze some more power out of it but given my busy life we are looking at spring probably.
As for Bassani, I really do love this thing. VandH seems to crack and fall apart. I’ve seen a couple bassani do the same but they were clean fixes.
The back pressure is there. When I got the back it had short shots on it. Putting the bassani on with a tune opened up a whole new torque curve.

@@ChopperFett can you manually upload a tune from your FP3? If so I’ll be happy to send you a few tunes from a family members dynas I recently had on the rollers.. it’s exactly as yours, stage 1.. made an extra 8 horsepower and almost 10 tq versus auto tune with narrow band o2’s only .. Plus lowered overall cruising temps around 25 degrees while at 85 degrees and 80% humidity and 97 degrees ambient temperatures.. huge difference in response and when the bike actually gets INTO power

I just bought a 2002 Dyna Wide Glide with the Twin Cam engine and my number one thing I'm saving up to do is get rid of the cam chain and cam chain tensioner before it explodes and screws the engine up so will be going for the S&S cam gear upgrade, always find out what your bikes weak points are and fix them first before it cost's you a stack of cash, each to their own butt that's my view anyway.

Ah yes the 88 cam tensioners. That’s actually really great advice man. Enjoy the bike!!!

Did you ever get this done? What was your pinion runout? Lots of the early twin cams had a lot, as I understand..
