    1.) Exhaust + Tune (if possible)
    2.) Suspension
    3.) Seat
    4.) Risers + Bars

    1.tires(something sticky)
    2.suspension front and rear(ohlins,racetech,works,rwd,legends,)
    3.brakes(if you can get the brakes off a touring model they are brembos)
    4.pegs (shred pegs by 27 cycles) night and day clearance difference
    thats all you actually "need" everything else is a luxury/cosmetic item.

    I installed Progressive heavy duty fork springs on my 2010 Superglide C. It was easy to do and there was a HUGE difference in ride quality.

    Few of first things I did to my Dyna
    1. Thrashin supply 6.5” pullback risers, ODI v-twin MOTO bars, ODi vans cult group grips, and last but not least 1Fngr clutch & brake levers!
    2. Headlight slim line protection led headlight, also a must add and I have on both my Sporty & Dyna is first get custom dynamics light bar bracket/extension block, then a 6” led light bar I wire into my high beams
    3.I have 03 FXDX & 05 Roadster 1200 so gauges were not on the tank
    4. Le Pera Tail whip best step up money can buy. Another good bang for your buck is Drag Specialties Predator 3 step up is awesome
    5. 413 Progressive shocks 13.5” also added bung king swing arm lift which gives you a 1.25” lift

    Go racetech up front!
    My top 5 upgrades are all reliability, safety, and performance oriented.
    1) dual disk brake conversion ( or upgrading rotors if you have an fxdls )
    2) s&s cam plate, oil pump, and gear driven cam conversion. (Eliminates the only week point in the bottom end for most applications, the cam chain tensioner)
    3) dynojet power vision unit (best tuner out there, and doubles as a digital speedo / tach when mounted on your bars.
    4) custom cycle engineering front are rear motor mounts / stabilizer + top stabilizer link
    5) suspension, rear first or both ends at the same time if possible

    • @dynademos
      @dynademos  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hedonist - I’m leaning towards nix 22s I’m sure race tech is probably cheaper do u have any other reason to go with race tech over ohlins??

    • @Tecton420
      @Tecton420 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dynademos shiiit you're going to ballin route. The only thing racetech produces that will match or outperform the nix 22 is their g6 forks (inverted, full custom built to your spec after you order) it would basically be a one time purchase for your front end to be dialed in completely. But there's no comparison to the potential performance of the nix 22s and racetechs springs / gold valve emulator, ohlins takes that all day.

    • @Tecton420
      @Tecton420 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dynademos you know rwd is coming out with a cartridge kit of their own too right ? It might be ocd but I always prefer to keep front and rear suspension from the same manufacturer if possible. I'm sure it'll perform as good as the nix 22s and keep everything cohesive, but that's probably just me being ocd about things

    • @dynademos
      @dynademos  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hedonist - I was aware about rwd, rod has rwd in the rear but I’m thinking ohlins all the way around after listening to Kevin from big bear performance talking about it on a podcast I trust his opinion and I think u can get ohlins all the way around for around 2 gs inverted is obviously the best but I ain’t spending that much lol

    • @Tecton420
      @Tecton420 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dynademos yeah it's not a bad idea at all. Ohlins has such a great lineage and history, I'd trust nearly anything from them without question honestly. I can't say the same about BBC, I haven't done business with them personally so it's only gossip, but I've heard a lot of not great things about him...mostly in the greed and snake oil department. Long story short, I'm not 100% certain BBC is necessary to get the performance out of ohlins, I think he marks shit up because you get an invoice with BBC on it to show off lol. But again that's just talk, I haven't shaken hands with the guy so 🤷‍♂️

    My 2015 street Bob upgrades.
    1. Kraus Dynamoto inverted front end (with his custom triple tress) mounted to dual disk with powered coated Low Rider S rims.
    2. Progressive 444 rear shocks.
    3. Harley stage 4 screaming eagle kit. 102 HP and 116 Torque.
    4. Rolan Sands air filter.
    5. Bassani Road Rage pipe .
    6. TTS tuner
    7. MX style bars with PM grips.
    8. JD fairing with matching paint.

    I inherited a 2000 Dyna Wide Glide with a custom seat already. I have replaced the headlight with LED, and am in the process of installing ape hangers. So that's 3 of 5. Great advice to relocate the gauges, and rear suspension. Those two mods will be next. Very helpful video.

    I'm doing:
    1. Shift linkage/Bars- think they're equally important.
    2. Seat/Fairing
    3. Lights (back roads in East TN are DARK)
    4. Suspension/Pegs
    5. Brakes
    6.2-1, tuner, Dyno (already has an intake).
    Learned my lesson with a Victory I had, went out and did pipe, intake and Dyno. Still had stock bars, tires, brakes. Made power that it couldn't really fully use.

    Mine is a H-D FXDC 2012. I put General Dynamic Lightning front and rear as well as their turn signals.
    I have a crash bar with Kurkykyn hwy pegs and Kurkykyn hand grips, I use a throttle rocker. I put stock Harley Davidson floorboards with forward foot controls. The toe shifter is longer. I have a H-D touring seat with a passenger back rest & luggage rack. I’m looking for better saddles bags, mine are stock synthetic velcro attachment and snap buttons. The Velcro comes unattached at speed so I have a workman’s belt tightening on each of them.
    I have Legend Shocks front and rear. Now the front forks are so much improved you can run over anything without feeling any loss of feeling. I recommend Legend front shocks. I think the shocks may lower your front end by an inch or two. But it’s a complete change for the better.

    All good suggestions. One point though! If you elect to put brighter head lights, align them slightly down and slightly right. Even trucks with lift kits should be aware that you blind oncoming traffic, yet, you see better. Adjust rude lighting. Not because of laws, because it’s courteous. Something as simple as using a wall to adjust. A night of running watching bright lights or misaimed ones, is unsat. !

    1, Decent engine mounts from Big Bear Performance to replace the stock factory rubbish.
    2, Twin front brakes - Fatbob style is sufficient and cheaper than the expensive 'high-end' stuff.
    3, Suspension improvements - re-valve the front forks and use thicker oil and stronger, simple-wound springs (not progressive) along with decent rear shocks with specs to match front-end improvements.
    4,Tyres - Avons are my preferred option.
    5, A quick-fit windscreen to help make long distance and high speed riding less tiring - I am 60 years old and like to do 2 or 3 hundred+ miles a day in summer.
    Oh, those urethane riser bushings along with a hot-rod motor so you can really make use of the five major ones, but I would be surprised if you ever get done improving the bike ! That is why I like Harleys as no other make has so much after-market stuff available, though I tend to use a lot of H-D (including some CVO screaming eagle stuff) parts modified to save money - the quality standard of a lot of aftermarket stuff is often suspect as is some H-D stuff so I tend to buy second hand stuff off eBay.....

    4. Tires/ wheels (if you have OEM spokes, they’ll loosen)
