"I'm a motorcycle mechanic, I don't get paid enough to retire." That's the damn truth. After 20 years I finally got out. Got a union job in a construction field and I can finally work on MY bikes for FUN! And I have an amazing retirement plan and awesome health coverage. The motorcycle industry is a young mans industry. After about five years in I told myself I was going to get out as soon as I could. fifteen years went by so fast and I still didn't have the life that I wanted and I started hating working on bikes. Now that I don't do it for a living I love going out to the garage and working on my OWN stuff. Keep up the good work boys! To all you young men thinking about getting into the motorcycle industry, DON'T DO IT! If you do do it, your wife better make good money and you better not get divorced with kids otherwise you are going to be changing oil and tires and rebuilding engines till the day you die and have nothing to show for it.
Thank Your Brother for his service. Hope Moonshine Harley donated the labor costs. My nephew was in Iraq he actually won not just one Harley but two of them. He must of been lucky because he made it home safely

I think that bike will be habit forming.
Would rather see install and wrenching on motor and more of the tuning. Longer video, never seen most of it going on. I like seeing what people run into, and they install, and set timing, ect.

1.725:1 roller rocker arms with “wood 30* offset plates”.. is that the rocker plates to account for the longer rocker arm?

( it's 30 thousandths offset .030" , not 30 degrees, on the WOODS twin cam rocker supports ) Just trying to help out guys, great seeing a Dyna build !!!!! Thank you, SARGE.

Unfortunately he is in California and that's where I shipped the bike.
No point in buying a new Harley when you can just do a new motor and suspension

WOW ; FuCKIN AWESOME, ( A DREAM SCENARIO ) , having enough extra cash , then give ,the same amount of money that I was initially going to spend on a new HARLEY ; "TOO SOMEONE I COULD TRUST" , who also , was a competent bike mechanic. P.S. In my dream , " frame up , Custom , purpose built bike": , Is most definitely a FXR . Built with/for performance in mind . A Dyna is a close second.
I know this is an older video but I was wanting to know are you running stock heads on this one?
Nice job on the build, That's similar numbers that I would like out of my Dyna I have a 2017 low rider S which has the screaming Eagle 110 what would you recommend to do to my engine to make those numbers, I have a Vance & Hines P3 tuner and 2 brothers exhaust.

What heads/head work was used on the bike?
Any head work done on the bike? Was the throttle body left stock? What tune was used on the bike when you had it on the Dyno?
Moonshine HP heads, HPI throttle body, Power Vision Tuner.
@@MoonshineHarley would you mind giving the specs on the head work done to match up with the S&S 110 cylinder and piston kit. As well as which HPI throttle body was used? They have different sizes diameter sizes as well as intake runner sizes.
Really nice build. It's only missing a little more brake up front (my opinion only). Great info in your videos so keep 'um coming
What is your verdict on the Thrashin Supply exhaust? I have a 2017 Low Rider S and I really like the look and sound of Thrashin’s pipe with their “Dog Ball” insert. Perform well on the dyno? If so, would it complement a 117 build?
It's one of our favorite softail exhaust systems. It'll be perfect for you. We also have them in stock 615-275-4170and ask for Aaron, Nick or Jamie.

I'm also contemplating running a 50mm tb with like a stage 1 head rework (1.9 intake valve upgrade with porting) but am wanting to get around the same power out of my bike as what you got out of this beautiful beast. I am just assuming this bike is running upgraded intake and exhaust valves and a 55 or 58mm tb. What is this thing runnin

I have those same wheels and matching rotors on my street glide. But I'm changing a bunch of stuff to machined black, so I'm in the market for a big front wheel black and machined if anyone knows a good place tp find some options for an 06 street glide?
Hi gents, love the channel my name is Adrian and I’ve got a 2017 Dyna wide my self, I just put a stage IV and was wondering what throttle body you used? I have been looking at a HPI 58mm and by the quick looksy I got the one you used looks like one. Any info would be appreciated. Ps I’m rocking my FXWD on Australian tarmac 🤙🏼
I worked at a HD shop from 03 thru 09 and my bike and other Guys bikes always got worked on after hours with payment almost always was in beer lol but fun was always had by all being in sales I understood that my helping increased the beer cost lmao.

103 upgrade is not worth it for 10hp, Lol.......just boost the 96, there's SO much room for power.
