LianLi and Antec showed the world that there was a market for upscale cases back then.

Yep! They cost a premium but they were unique and had better layouts for their interiors and shook up the market!

Hello Jason, that is a good find/swap and I also like those cases!👍👍
Yes, SSDs., are splendid and even a fast mechanical HD., seems painfully slow these days.

Hey Laurence! Yeah I found the trade for some cut wood and this pc and case a no brainer. Plus he gave me 2 laptops as well! I had two raptor 10k drives back in the day before ssds and I ran those 2 in a raid zero configuration. It was fast for the day..

Ah, the 2000s were such a great decade. We just got out of the creamy cases of the 90s and entered a world of majestic PC cases.

I just tried to buy an aluminum cooler master atc-201 on shopgoodwill. They waited a week and then cancelled my order out of nowhere with no reason given. My lower back is trashed and was hoping to take a few pounds off the weight of my pc. I ended up finding a deal on a corsair c70. Its a big case, but at least it has sturdy handles. That should make it easier to move around at least. Super jealous of the lian li. I've tried buying these online a couple times before but they got mangled up in shipping. Aluminum really isn't a sturdy material for this type of thing. Its a wonder they sold so many of them.

Hi there. I'm sorry to hear about your back. Grats on the Corsair, and that sucks about goodwill canceling your order :( You right the all aluminum case dents and dings super easy as this one has a few. I mainly wanted it as I'd had one, and it's a collector and nostalgic thing for me. Funny thing, I actually bought my g5 cheese grater macpro tower from Goodwill. Cheers!

@@RememberThisTech I recently decided to add a sas raid array since used sas drives are so cheap. On top of that I changed motherboards to a meg unify x570 and put in a giant tower cooler... shoulda known the weight would be a bit too much. Only middle aged and I can already tell getting old freaking sucks. If you've never held or seen one of these high end msi boards, they're pretty nuts. The heatsinks are legit. The board weighs like 5 or 6 pounds pretty easy. Then the weight of the drives and the ginormous air cooler. Not sure what I was thinking.

@ItIsNot1984 I've not seen one of those boards, but it sounds so sweet! I've got a coolermaster half 922 for my file server case, and it's stationary, lol.
