Hi and welcome to the channel! Thanks for the confirmation on the 8gb ram! I'd read that this MacBook could take 8gb but I'm thinking one of my 4gb sticks was perhaps bad. Bought it from AliExpress :( I will now deff try and get another 4gb stick and see if it works, as I've also seen Macs are sometime finicky in the ram they take too. I work with customer devices on a daily basis. Basically, the only time I get a clean device is when the customer is either Boomer or GenX age. I have no idea what Melin/GenZ do with their devices but apparently eating on them is one of the things they do, never wiping it off is another. Some women even use it as a platform for the makeup or the wine glas
Heh I'm gen x. Well that explains a few things. I've seen machines so disgusting that instead of restoring them I pull parts and recycle them it's bad :( Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
I had this MacBook back in 2011, definitely does support 8gb tho only advertised to support 4gb ram lol
