I remember trying to justify the cost of buying my voodoo rush card and when I got it installed and played my first game I was blown away and to me the cost was justified at that point as I'd seen nothing like those graphics!! Nice find. I still have my original Voodoo 2 8MB card and a Riva Tuner 2 32Mb card. I have a bunch of retro computers but they all AGP. Still looking for a PCI only motherboard.

Yupppp! Now just goto try and get it running glide on 98se! Easier said than done.
Time for some serious Quake and Unreal glide time. Make sure you have a EAX card and go to town.
Thanks yep! I'm currently testing the voodoo 2 in my win 98se machine. The computer freezes each time I try and launch a glide game. Idk if it's drives or the card :( must keep troubleshooting :(
Nice score. How you manage that? The celerons back then actually didn't suck. You can probably put up to a 533mhz in that board, but it would have to be celeron. It depends on the chipset. Since it has a celeron, 2 ram slots and no agp I'll take that as a hint its the crappy chipset. Still dude, a 533mhz celeron would go well with that voodoo2. Was there an ISA slot? you don't need it but its nice for old sound cards and dos. Cool little system. Grats, man.
Hi there! I kinda got lucky in that someone was cleaning out a garage and was free stuff they wanted rid of. The board won't post anymore. I think I might spray it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. Test the power supply and ram. Who knows! Maybe that celery cpu was running so hot for so long it got toasted? But if not I can put on a nicer cooler and see what it can do! It's a cheap mobo from people pc back in the day. I've not clue why a voodoo 2 was in it but I'll take it!!
@@RememberThisTech if its got no isa slot, i wouldn't bother with it. You got the goods already. You can pair it with that socket a athlon system you showed last year if nothing else. Did you try it with glide enabled? It ran 3d on the direct x test but sometimes they still fail when doing glide. Thats like the true test.
@ItIsNot1984 yeah I'm testing it in my p3 1ghz gateway mobo. Locks up when trying to play a glide enabled game. Goto try to find out if it's a setting or drivers or the card :(
@@RememberThisTech They can be pretty fickle with certain drivers and games. Of course it could also be faulty. I'd try combinations of other drivers and games. Sometimes throwing it in a different pc with windows xp can tell you is it working or not. If you're doing it in 98, then xp can just really eliminate a lot of that weird archaic "this works with that but not this" type of bs. Weird issues weren't that plentiful in 98, but they were still there. AND I'm sorry if I jinxed ya.
@@RememberThisTech I'd look over all the pins on the main chips if they get damaged it can cause those issues as well.
Que bueno esta Voodoo2 3dfx sigue siendo muy muy cotizada , yo tengo varias versiones en mi colección ( que no esta a la venta ), como unas Voodoo 3 3000 de 16Mb , son como un tesoro y parece en muy buen estado.
Hey Jose! Yeah I am still on the lookout for a voodoo 3 banshee card. I had one back in the day. But a voodoo 2 for now is a good start :)

@@RememberThisTech I found out something VERY bad about me 2 weeks ago when I noticed skin color changes. I want you to stay healthy and safe bro. I'm now fighting something horrible but it's beatable with diet changes and treatment.
