    Thanks for your reply. My floor was the same tile in your video but I guess the tile was really really dirty because even when the sponge was first applied, the floor still looked yellowish. I used the brush and it got better but the grout is still dark.

      It may be also that your grout wasn’t white to begin withh

    PERFECT! And that bathroom is almost exactly the same as mine - same tub for sure and layout. My tiles are two shades of blue and white but similar pattern. Question - there are spots where the grout has chipped out and there's tiny gaps. Should I fill those at all and if so, with what?

    Thank you so much Hugo. I have this old 1850's house and tried everything to clean the bathroom tile to no avail. I will run and get the muriatic solution as it obviously easily cleans the tile. I will write again to let you know.

    One thing you should add is that after you have finished cleaning with muriatic acid, neutralize it with baking soda before emptying it out. It does bubble up quite a bit so it is best done outdoors.

    I have this exact same tile and I tried this but it unfortunately didn't work for me. The solution got plenty dirty but it mostly just looked like I did a decent surface mopping job by the end even though I was scrubbing like crazy to try and clean the grout. It is 1 part acid, 10 parts cold water, right?

    • @HugoCorrea
      @HugoCorrea  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, in some situations the grout is too dirty and you may need to remove the grout and add new grout
