- On November 28, 2020 Rachel played a 90 minute live streaming concert on StageIt for the ProgStock Moogvember series. This was a very special show for her, as she got to play some of her favorite progressive rock covers. To no one's great surprise, 90 minutes wasn't long enough, so as a thank you to her fans, to ProgStock, and to the Bob Moog Foundation, she went back to the organ a couple of days later and recorded one more epic tune for everyone who attended her concert, and for all her fans.
Ars Longa Vita Brevis is the second album by the English progressive rock group the Nice. The Nice were true rock pioneers, combining elements of rock, classical, jazz, and even folk music in their recordings and live performances. It's easy to see why the band attracted Rachel's attention! While Rachel's version had to omit the extended drum solo of the original, I think you will find that she captures the spirit of the band, while adding her own special flair... or, as we like to say, she Rachelified it.
You will note that we set up a second camera to capture Rachel's footwork on the bass pedals. We haven't forgotten the feedback from Rachel's early videos on the organ, and we didn't want to make that mistake again!

I was told as a student at Pre-Med and in Chiropractic that it is the brain that controls the body. I followed a course that said it is the body that controls the brain.
Watching and especially hearing Rachel create music, and knowing that she is living a life with an advantage I never had. I was told to move my lips and never make a sound in choir practice. There were musical teachers that made me handicapped in my life.
I have always loved music, and watching and listening to Rachel brings out feelings that no other musician has been able to even come close. What a talented woman.

I still have the original vinyl album from when it was first released - one of my favourites - this was outstanding Rachel and is keeping Keith's memory alive - well done.
I was much younger and didn't know of the Nice until I developed such a love for ELP. Thank goodness for the record stores! Bought everything I could get my hands on. I still have all of my vinyl collection including everything I could get ahold of with the Nice. Wouldn't trade or take anything for them. Keith Emerson introduced me to classical music through his interpretations of what he played. I miss so him so much, but this young woman keeps his memories alive by her phenomenal playing. We are fortunate indeed to have her.

I bought "Ars Longa" when it was released and know it intimately. Rachel, your interpretation is SO beautiful because it captures the spirit and feel of the original. Please please please post your entire Synthplex '22 set which I had the pleasure of attending. It was sheer magic!
