Tears streaming down my face...I thought I was a freak for loving this song. All my friends think I am a weirdo for listening to this. To hear it performed so passionately and so brilliantly by these artists has made my millennium! Thank you guys and I love you Rachel.
+Jeanie Flowers Does Rachel have any high aspirations with regard to her flute? I daresay she's spoiled me rotten, to the point where I expect miracles such as her Fugue above. To that end, if she's so inclined to take on an unreasonably intense challenge, I'd absolutely love to see her take on Ian Anderson, performing Jethro Tull's "Bourreé" from "Stand Up" (1969), either solo multi-tracked or with a competent partner on flute, with Dave on skins and maybe Balint on bass, if he can find his inner Glenn Cornick... that's not too much to ask, is it? (Tell me she's heard it.)
freak? no way! this song is a beautiful creation and those who don't appreciate it are missing out. it is one of my favourite tracks from one of my favourite ELP albums : more subtle than their usual output.
When I was 9 years old I listed to ELP over and over all day long (1970-ish). I tried to get my friends to listen, but I got blank stares. After a while they started making fun of me and my musical tastes. It became clear -- I had to choose between my friends and ELP. Friends are a dime a dozen.
The guy covering Greg’s vocals did a great job, He’s not at Greg’s level but he did it justice, not trying to amp it up and doing a very good arrangement with pacing and enunciation, Greg always cleanly sang the lyrics. And Rachael, no words are enough 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏♥️
Trilogy was the very first record I bought back in 1972 - I was 14. I think it cost me about £3.50. When I brought it home my dad insisted I play it for the whole family. As The Endless Enigma was the first track it was also the family's introduction to ELP. I fell in love with the music of ELP and played their music so often I remember it note for note from back then. How refreshing to discover this exceptional cover version. Music was great when I was growing up, exciting and imaginative, and I'm so glad that it is not being forgotten. This performance is exceptional. I have a huge smile on my face.
"Now that it's done, I've begun to see the reason why I'm here." That closing line (along with the music behind it) sends chills up my spine every time I hear it. That's true for the original ELP recording, and for this amazing cover version as well!
Wat onwaarschijnlijk prachtig nagespeeld. Ik ken dit nummer uit mijn hoofd. De LP - die ik in 1972 kocht - tot grijs wordens toe afgespeeld. Dank hiervoor!
And to think that all of that was done by three musicians. I had a friend swear that it was all done with overdubs and other types of music production magic. Then ELP came to town. I just had to take him and my other doubtin Thomas friends with me to the concert. They be true believers in the awesome talent of ELP. I Have been listening to ELP's music for over 54 years (I'm 70 years old.) It never gets old and I still love it. Great cover!
Wow I am just in awe here!! You know the funny thing is I’ve heard of Emerson Lake and Palmer many many years ago, but I remember Keith Emerson from the motion picture nighthawks with Sylvester Stallone and that’s how I knew about him later on realizing he was part of the trio! All of you have such a gift. It’s just amazing to hear you guys play and perform this amazing song that’s really such ahead of its time. I just could never compare this music to any of today’s music that we have. Excellent to say the least. !
Keith Emerson will go down in music history with Beethoven and Bach for this brilliant arrangement. Just gives me chills. Good job gang. You rendered it beautifully
I could watch and listen this girl endlessly since I found her. A week ago I didn't know anything about her but even if I watch something else I have to come back after a while. Thank you Rachel and Jeannie from a hungarian.
Same here!! I found the incredible video of Rachel playing this at the Tribute to Keith. After an overwhelmingly emotional 11 minutes, I needed to find more. This, here, is a thing of beauty! ❤️
Brilliant rendition. Everything is perfect, the surprise for me was the excellent vocals. I think they lost it with BSS. This is truly a wonderful tribute to the lads. Thank you.
What a great project this is, a globe-spanning collaboration in a time of unprecedented global division. This is music’s special gift, a universal language so compelling it transcends the struggles and tribulations of humankind’s baser impulses, and does so with beauty and grace. A salve for a world in pain.
Had to watch it again. Hey you on the Hammond B-3. You are a bad ass machine if you played that 22 second section at timestamp 2:01. Which apparently you did. Wow, you are all amazing. Love the camera positions which really does help the listener to appreciate the technical achievement even more. Thank you.
It's now September the 28th 2022 and this piece still brings the water works. Actually, anything ELP I get emotional over, especially when Miss Flowers is involved with it. This whole line up of musicians is top notch and staying true to Keith, Greg and Carl. I am a 68 1/2 fan of Rachel and the music she loves to play.
Rachel Flowers is what jazz musicians would call a "Monster". Of course Rachel performed the most challenging parts of this piece - and of course she cruised thru it like a hot knife thru butter!
I think Keith Emerson's piano scores are where he really excels and this one is gorgeous. I'm so glad that Ms Flowers and the guys tackled it. I have not heard a better cover than this one. Very well edited too. Thank you, I really enjoyed that.
Rachel and Jeanie... It's soooooo great to work with you two on these fabulous collabs.... I get my E.L.P. on now more than ever! Jeanie, you work so hard to do what you do for Rachel,..... and Rachel.... what can I say.... I'm just without words....Your performance is so great..... Love you BOTH!
Len, please see above comment. Kudos to all. I knew what to expect from Rachel, she is simply amazing; but was floored when you came in, Len! As a Lake fan and purist, I am not only impressed but totally jealous!
+Len Audsley And Bacchus Plateau? My favorite part of the early Rush epic "The Fountain of Lamneth" and one of my favorite Rush pieces of all. You guys nailed it! Almost felt like listening to Rush themselves. Back to ELP though...I had the good fortune to see them twice in their later years (97, 98). It was great to hear Tarkus in its entirety but never got to see them do Enigma. Can't get much closer than y'all!
+Matt Calder....... Now I'm jealous! Never got to see E.L.P. I don't even know if they even toured the midwest? I've grown fonder of them through the years, and like em more now than ever.... (K.E.9 is next.....shhhhh)..........Oh and thanks again for the kudos on the Rush song... It was so much fun doing that!
+Len Audsley ... hey Len, great to see your posts, you can be jealous of me also since I too got to see ELP twice, they were THE BOMB !!! .... I also saw Rush when they were nobody's, touring for the 1st album at a free taping of "In Concert" and I have seen King Crimson, Todd Rundgren (several times), Robert Fripp solo, Kansas twice, Camel opening for Deep Purple, Chicago when Terry Kath was alive with Fanny opening and and Frank Zappa twice .... Please check out ELP's California Jam performance and read my comments since I was there. If you want to hear me play guitar I have a couple of cool Santana covers in my channel. Take much care and keep up the great job at singing this amazing music !! :):)
You guys did an amazingly outstanding performance!!! Bravissimo!! I'm a huge ELP fan since they began. I dropped acid when I heard Tarkus....and saw God! . I'll never forget the time or place. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Love & ☮️...R.I.P. Keith & Greg.
“OUTSTANDING”. ELP would be impressed for sure, superbly done. To think 3 very special musicians created such complex music and carried it onto a LIVE shows throughout the World. Amazing cover to all involved in this video. Amazing tribute to ELP !!! Now that it’s done we can see the reason why you all took part in this tribute !👍🔥❤
This just reminds me how much I fell in love with the song back when I was 15. I was already a huge ELP fan and was so excited when Trilogy hit the record stores. Wonderful job Rachel and everyone. Rest in power Keith and Greg. You are missed.
Came upon this very serendipitously. Didn’t read the comments. Listened and watched KE9 then this. Can’t write anything that would do it justice so I will just write Thank You All... Immense appreciation for the talent and devotion on display. Love & Peace.
Thanks to all of you. Great interpretation faithful to the original. I must admit that this has always been probably my favorite ELP tune. it's epic, and colorful. What a great composition. Thanks so much! :)
Jeanie and Rachel we shared such a great evening of music last night @ the Keith Emerson Tribute Concert. Rachel thanks to you for your incredible performance. All of us in attendance were blown away by your abilities as were those on stage with you and ( and at such a young age). My daughter asked me if there was anyone under 30 at the show. Why yes there was a piano virtuoso named Rachel Flowers. You go girl and keep Keith's legacy alive as I know you will.
So great to know that the music of ELP lives on, through the incredible talent of Rachel Flowers. You can feel the spirit of it so strongly. A special thanks to all the others in the band as well; the singer did especially well.
I have almost forgotten how much I love this piece. I am blown away with this collaboration. Cant wait to seek out more. Rachel, you are truly amazing, all of you are amazing. ELP will always live on. Thanks so much for doing this. I feel I am "inside the music": when I watch and listen to these pieces. Truly works of art. Going to listen to Trilogy all night long now.
This is awesome, I'm so thankful there are musicians who feel so strongly about this kind of music! And it's always a treat to hear you play, Rachel. =D
Haha, great comment. Yes, there is so much great music out there today -- which you do not hear when mainstream-channels. I'm glad I found Rachel's music! :-D
They hid Rachel well as it took me a decade to find her. They cannot market this young lady the way they normally do and on top of that she is talented to the extreme.
I've been listening to this song for over 38 years and literally cried through the entirety of this. Been going through health issues the last couple of years and I'm sure that may tie in but this just destroyed me. Thank you guys so much and I can tell everyone of you put yr heart and soul into this. God bless.
Just. Too. Good! The harmonic textures, the intricacy, the breadth. I don't know how you pulled it off, especially you, Rachel Flowers, but thank you all for putting this together and playing so damn well!
Phenominal. Now we need to get Rachel that Steinway D we're hearing into her home, even though we're watching her play her older Kawai grand in this video. On the other hand, perhaps what we're hearing is a Steinway D sample here. In either event no Kawai of that 5-foot-ish size ever sounded like the piano we're hearing in this video! Nice sync-up job. Excellent performance from all the musicians. Looking forward to more installments. Rachel and the boyz are just killer.
I understand completely, Jeanie. Kindly contact me privately to discuss this matter if you wish: visit www.davidhughespiano.com for my information. Thank you. David G. Hughes, RPT.
Jeanie, how lucky are you? Not only to be related to Rachel but to even know her. I'll bet she was devastated when hearing about Keith. What's so great to see is every now and then, on some of her videos, her smile. That means to me she loves what she's doing and is having fun. And thank you for bringing this amazing talent together.
This was the song that dramatically transformed my appreciation of music when I first heard it back in 1975 as a 14 year old. Your arrangement is so faithful to the original piece and is absolutely amazing.Glad to have sat here and listened and watch your passion for ELP'S masterpiece.
So amazingly beautiful rendition to this great piece by ELP... Rachel, Len, George, Bálint, George, Steve, Dave, Mihaly, you brought tears to my eyes. Thank you and please do more like these.
Great, this is just an amazing job!!! You are all incredible musician with a very good feeling for EL&P. Rachel you are the best Keith Emerson performer I ever listen!!!
I played the Triangle Bell! Just kidding. AWESOME!!! The drummer (I am a drummer) is a big guy and he plays so fluid and relaxed! Love You All! Great colab. I love TH-cam colabs and ELP Music.
Wow! Just perfection! Actually it's my favorite piece of them which is a bit underrated, IMHO, and so cleverly crafted. Thank you for reminding how great this music is!
I've only just heard this - even though it's been around for a while! Like others here - this has brought a tear to my eye. Love the way each contributor is in just ordinary surroundings - but the combination is awesome - beautifully done. Have been an ELP fan ever since the first LP - which gives some idea how old I am! Thanks to everyone for putting this together and making my day!
This is a great cover version in fact this piece is so complex I do not know of any other versions by others on the internet. Congratulations to the team you aced a very difficult piece of music. Hats off to you! Also watching you all work I am amazed that three guys in 1972 put this together. This elevates my appreciation of the amazing talents of Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Thank you so much for this.
though 15 weeks premature it seems that Rachel was born at just the right time. And thank you for reigniting my love for ELP, Keith was a true master and his spirit must be very pleased.
Steve, I don't know if you still read these, but I wanted to say that, as a teenager, I also saw that California Jam performance, and was totally blown away. When Keith took off flying on the piano on The Great Gates of Kiev, I was like, "He's a god, man." But like you all, I'm a huge ELP fan, as well as prog rock in general. Rachel, you are amazing beyond words. Thanks so much to all of you for keep this beautiful music alive
... and again: This is absolutely typical British! I mean, it's typical EL&P, but you can hear they come from Britain - you would never hear such a sound from the USA originally - especially at that time. Beautifully done! Thanx for sharing! 😉🦊
ELP deliberately recorded Brain Salad Surgery live without overdubs as they wanted to be able to perform it live in concert. They were not able to with Trilogy as they didn’t have the technology available with all the overdubs on the songs…They never did Trilogy or The Endless Enigma in concert as a result. This performance is AMAZING!…Rachel never disappoints and the other guys here are terrific as well. What a great rendition! To see this done live is amazing! So glad I found this. Thanks to my pal Howard for sharing this.
Este vocalista é excelente. Os ataques das notas são os do Greg. A pianista é perfeita. O tecladista é um mágico. O baixo é fidelíssimo. A percussão é maravilhosa. Estou emocionado com o amor destes músicos pela beleza. Rachel, o universo é possível. A beleza nos salvará.
Have known this music forever and it’s locked in my mind forever. Being a keyboard player and composer, still haunts me about Keith. 😢Thank you guys. Great way to start my Sunday. Rachel, always in amazement of your ear and technique. 🎉💕 Thanks, all of you amazing musicians for keeping Keith, Greg, and Carl available to us with your international collaborations!!!❤️
I'm almost speechless and definitely touched!! you're all doing such a great job - I'm sure this is the best cover version of that song ever! (i don't even know if there is another cover version at all ;) - and Rachel is the impersonification of music - for me, this is beyond talent - she's blessed with very special skills. thanks to everybody involved! :-)
WOW!!!! Just happened to find this and seriously you made my week! Just beautiful. Brought me back to when music was actually progressive. What a talented group. It’s so sad to think what 13 year olds are listening to today. Thank you thank you thank you!
Keith Emerson, I followed him through Nice and ELP. I was fortunate enough to hear him live on these two occasions. I was in my teens and this great music stays with you until the grave. Thank you Rachel and Jeanie for this. It is my desire to hear Rachel playing live. I've been a massive fan of Rachel's for a while now. I love your performance in Zappa Plays Zappa which was posted online. I was fortunate to see Dweezil play last year in London. Wish you could have played there too Rachel.
Some people playing in the USA, other people playing in Hungary. I listening and getting excited here in Argentina. Beautiful, sublime. Absolutely incredible.
Tears streaming down my face...I thought I was a freak for loving this song. All my friends think I am a weirdo for listening to this. To hear it performed so passionately and so brilliantly by these artists has made my millennium! Thank you guys and I love you Rachel.

@ paul arneil: Don't tell me. . . the people you hung out with in high school listened to "Funky Town," right? Same here.
When I was 9 years old I listed to ELP over and over all day long (1970-ish). I tried to get my friends to listen, but I got blank stares. After a while they started making fun of me and my musical tastes. It became clear -- I had to choose between my friends and ELP. Friends are a dime a dozen.
everybody took the micky out of the first people to use an umbrella : there must always be trailblazers! (friends are a dime a dozen! heh!! )
It is one thing to copy the notes. But to imitate the level of attack perfectly is out of this world. Super Rachel. Keith lives on. Thankyou.
Rachel is super- the "Living End"... ELP always reminds me of EGG, National Health and Hatfield and the North....
It’s amazing how someone so young like Rachel Flowers knows who Emerson Lake and Palmer are.
Keith Emerson lives on through Rachel Flowers.
The same face.
to prawda :)
I WILL RESERVE MY USUAL COMMENT ." PROG FARTS... FOREVER."
HOWEVER, HUMANS KEEP DOING BETTER!
I could not have said it better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Keith and Rachel are the heirs/reincarnations of J.S Bach ...

What did your family think?
Likewise. The same year and age as yourself as well.
@@cadencooper1828 - My parents hated it. But guess what? Not only do I still have that very album, but it is still in perfect shape as well.
I would like to take a survey to find out if ELP had influenced or changed people's lives. I know it did for me.
Asked for Brain Salad Surgery for Christmas. Mum looked at me as if I were daft
Dear God, this is magnificent. ELP are back…my heart is broken by their loss but uplifted by this. Thank you is not enough.
I'm not crying...
You're crying! 🥹💖
I want to thank everyone in the band it was so beautiful. I have waited 43years to see it performed thanks from a 61 year old ELP FAN
52 here brother 🤜🏽🤛🏽🤘🏼🤘🏼✊🏼🇧🇷🏴🖤
Seventy
67 here in 2023
63 here. Incredible……..an outstanding effort……..breathtaking. Writing this while listening multiple times. Thank you all so very much
"Now that it's done, I've begun to see the reason why I'm here." That closing line (along with the music behind it) sends chills up my spine every time I hear it. That's true for the original ELP recording, and for this amazing cover version as well!
TH-cam, thank you for the free music but sticking a ad in the midle of this WAS A CRIME!
You really have to be an ELP fan to appreciate what they did back in the 70's.........then along comes Rachel ........ ; )
Wat onwaarschijnlijk prachtig nagespeeld. Ik ken dit nummer uit mijn hoofd. De LP - die ik in 1972 kocht - tot grijs wordens toe afgespeeld. Dank hiervoor!

Three super talented musicians and one Moog, giving Keith a side orchestra to assist in overwhelming we humble listeners 👌👏✌️
One of the most elegant compositions in the history of rock music. And very well performed here. Just beautiful!!!

I’ve watched this countless times and Every time I get tears forming in my eyes. Truly spectacular musicality displayed in this video.
I didn't expect such strong vocals, Greg's voice is often overlooked.
Thank You!
Having the same experience right now...currently on day two, Rachel is amazing
Same here!! I found the incredible video of Rachel playing this at the Tribute to Keith. After an overwhelmingly emotional 11 minutes, I needed to find more. This, here, is a thing of beauty! ❤️
Rachel's performance is simply over the top - the fuge @6:05 says it all
ELP are back… Thanks, God! Thanks, guys! Thanks, Rachel!
I don't know who Len Audsley is, but, DAMN!
He is awesome!
And the rest of you, are too!
And I DO know who Rachel is! Awesome! That' what she is!!
Hello... Thanks for your awesome comment.... I'm so glad you liked... It's a great honor to work with Rachel and these fine musicians!
Beautiful music that soothes the soul. Fabulous rendition. Impossible to play unless you’re in top form. My personal favorite song of all time! ;)

BEST perfomance that i have ever
You've given me back my youth. They were my favourites too. God bless.
A beautifully performed high wire act from my youth! After listening, I’m left in a better place. Thank you.
Lovin' this 10/2024!
Thanks. Great playing and brilliant singing. No egos or posturing.
Rachel's touch on piano is so clear and perfect that seems to be a sequencer. It recalls me young Keith.
Eight years ago, you guys dropped this, it is timeless, it is amazing. It is beautiful.❤❤
“OUTSTANDING”. ELP would be impressed for sure, superbly done. To think 3 very special musicians created such complex music and carried it onto a LIVE shows throughout the World. It really is a small world, isn't it. Many great people out there. I hope and pray that these great people will one day be in power.
This is awesome, I'm so thankful there are musicians who feel so strongly about this kind of music! And it's always a treat to hear you play, Rachel. =D
Amazing what record companies hide from view. THANK GOD FOR TH-cam
Absolutely agree
I haven't seen any yt employee performing on this lmusical video : you must be mistaken my friend ...
Haha, great comment. Yes, there is so much great music out there today -- which you do not hear when mainstream-channels. I'm glad I found Rachel's music! :-D

Wow....that's all I can say. Almost exactly reproduced good job and I mean really good job!
Classical music lives on
an Elp tribute band who are off the scale superb.xx
Just. Too. Good! The harmonic textures, the intricacy, the breadth. I don't know how you pulled it off, especially you, Rachel Flowers, but thank you all for putting this together and playing so damn well!
Just........................briliant!! Rachel, you have made Keith Emerson imortal by continuing his legend. God bless you Maestro.
I am in awe - a perfect collaboration on a piece that has resonated with me for 50 years - I didn't expect to be in tears at the end!
The beauty of Music , without borders , I like it !
wow - what an incredible tribute to ELP - and now a fitting memorial to Keith!
This was the song that dramatically transformed my appreciation of music when I first heard it back in 1975 as a 14 year old. Your arrangement is so faithful to the original piece and is absolutely amazing.Glad to have sat here and listened and watch your passion for ELP'S masterpiece.
Touching comment.
Thanks for sharing.🖤
So frigging amazing!!! I'm in TEARS.
Rachel Flowers... watta real musical genius. One in maybe every millions.
Simply amazing.
GREAT TRIBUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent morceau musical de ELP 1972 j'avais 11ans.
Quel génie véritable chef musical. Merci EMERSON LAKE PALMER je ne vous oublierai pas.
So amazingly beautiful rendition to this great piece by ELP... Rachel, Len, George, Bálint, George, Steve, Dave, Mihaly, you brought tears to my eyes. Thank you and please do more like these.
This was awesome!! One of the best by ELP- What an awesome tribute- the vocals were really good too!! Very gifted musicians, thank you all.
Everything about this video is EXCELLENT! And the guy's vocals are spot on!
Great, this is just an amazing job!!! You are all incredible musician with a very good feeling for EL&P.
Rachel you are the best Keith Emerson performer I ever listen!!!
Excellent rendition! Congrats! The Fugue was absolutely brilliant!
I played the Triangle Bell! Just kidding. AWESOME!!! The drummer (I am a drummer) is a big guy and he plays so fluid and relaxed! Love You All! Great colab. I love TH-cam colabs and ELP Music.
The best ELP cover song performed ever. Absolute perfection.
Rachel's playing on "Fugue" almost brought tears of joy to my eyes. Bravo.
¡Impresionante! Mi tema favorito de Emerson, Lake And Palmer.
Wow! Just perfection! Actually it's my favorite piece of them which is a bit underrated, IMHO, and so cleverly crafted. Thank you for reminding how great this music is!
🤜🏽🤛🏽🤘🏼🤘🏼
Keith Emerson played a Zurna on the intro, not a synthesizer. Its an old Turkish wind instrument
You guys dedication is beyond measure..as a long time ELP fan, it brings a tear of joy every time I hear this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bravo les amis!
though 15 weeks premature it seems that Rachel was born at just the right time. And thank you for reigniting my love for ELP, Keith was a true master and his spirit must be very pleased.
Absolutely fabulous 🎹🎶👍
AMAZING!!!! 6:06 Breathtaking !!
Beautifully done! Great tribute to Keith, Greg & Carl.
🔥💯 Everyone nailed it! Awesome Singer too!
Thanks!
... and again: This is absolutely typical British!
I Thank You!
tutti bravissimi ,special tanks per il gran lavoro nel montaggio del video ❤❤❤
That's awesome!! I actually got goosebumps listening to it!
this is absurdly wonderful. really really nailed it, everyone. wow.
