"If someone doesn't genuinely like you, to hell with 'em." Everybody is NOT going to like you. Some will keep you around to use you. Some will barely tolerate you for not having another good (to them) choice. Some will outright dislike you... NONE of the people who don't genuinely like you or hope the best for you deserve you or your attention. Don't waste your time on them. Keep looking for people who WILL genuinely like you and then genuinely cherish them. THEY are precious. ;o)
If you struggle with eating, know you don't HAVE to eat 3 meals a day. Also I suffer with really intense dreams and I've found that setting an alarm helps. Waking up in the middle of the night is better than whatever the fuck my brain comes up with.
As a culinary student with Aspergers and anxiety which causes me to worry about things going very wrong for me in class, this really helped a lot despite just being a Reddit TTS video
Make sure your basic human needs are as well taken care of as you can. This normally isnt the cause of mental illness but it can make it way worse. Do what you can to eat enough, and sleep enough. Both of those are huge and can cause a loop where if they arent taken care of they can make you worse and in turn the illnesses van cause them to get worse. ALSO talk to a doc if you can afford it, get help for things that may seem bearable. Youd be suprised what I dealt with and thought was normal for years only for it to be like night and day when i decided to get help for it on a whim. Just because you got so good at drowning you can swim now doesnt mean you dont deserve to be on the yacht with everyone else. And dont discredit yourself, youve managed to stay alive against all odds and are in a very different spot from others. Just because you cant make a sandwich while youre swimming doesnt mean youre less than. No one can make a fucking sandwich while theyre swimming including the people on the yacht
If you're in a bad situation and you'll be there for a while, just ride out the storm. You don't have to enjoy things right now, you just have to hold on so you can get to a point where you can enjoy some things. Idk if this helps, but is helping me.
Thank you so much for this :) I'm going through this at the moment and I had been wishing the storm away and that obviously doesn't do anything so riding it out and holding on for dear life is something I can actually do.
1) Don't just think of journaling as a bitch session. Make it a little ritual to close the book, literally and metaphorically, on your problems for the night right before you go to bed. 2) Already healthy relationships can be improved if you have a set time where everyone gets their gripes out. It makes communication much easier.
Also, the book Overachievers: The Secret Lives of Driven Kids is worth reading if you're still in school. Some other things that helped me were *Finish every journal entry with a list of good things (i.e. people you love or good things that happened, including things that most people brush off as basic, like having a roof over your head, having a job, food on the table, managing to brush your teeth or get out of bed, etc) I'm currently in therapy and I also want to say pinning the source of your anxiety helps a lot. I've been dealing with anxiety for a long time, and I think I've just recently pinned it down with my therapist's help. Anxiety is complicated, but the main source of my problems is that I have an older sister who had a lot of issues, and I had to grow up way too fast and in some ways become my own parent as a result.
1. If they cross your boundaries, what they did for you before and what they do for you after no longer holds value 2. A coward doesn't try, a brave person tries even when terrified 3. Food is subjective. There is no "truly healthy" foods/drinks/diets as everyone's body functions differently 4. If the best you can do is lay in bed, lay in bed. Your body is sick and needs to rest, you just can't see the sickness
So about running the dishwasher twice...sometimes that doesn't work...food can stay stuck on there...if you don't have the energy to actually hand wash things, try getting a dish tub, filling it with boiling water and soaking your plates in it...the water soak will loosen up stuck on food, making it ok to put in a dishwasher. Unless you have a brand new, powerful dishwasher...you're going to have to do some sort of extra cleaning to dishes before putting them in. I scrub them with a dish brush and then put them in the dishwasher...and even then there's some stuff that can come out dirty still.
Mental/emotional wellbeing. Basically, how good are you feeling on an average day, how you cope with problems, how stable your mood is, etc. That's super basic just because I don't have the best knowledge of mental health myself, sorry
The best few
1.remove toxic people from your life, regardless of who it is.
2.journal .write down your thoughts ,feelings, etc.
What's the difference between Journaling and keeping a diary? I can't remember. 🤔

Find one thing to be grateful for, once you start feeling down...Just one thing. Truly thankful.

Thanks for sharing your story. It helped me feel as though I'm on the right path and not as alone as I sometimes feel.
"If you can't beat the fear, do it scared."
Either that's brilliant, or I'm pissed and binging youtube. Okay, I'm pissed, but it's still pretty good.
Agreed!!!
Take responsibility.

Stop stressing about things over which you have no control.

What are mental healths? This is a genuine question, not a joke

@@drew1054 It’s okay. Thank you for your help!
