I can't stop crying after watching this. I've been a teacher for 11 years in a tough school. This is what I hope for the children I taught there. No question... it is so so hard. It takes a mental toll that can't be quantified but if this is difference it makes....!

'Go be a hero' - an incredible talk by Jaz. She uplifts me with her energy and vision. I'll watch this again when I'm next in the negative zone.

I have never seen this before, what an inspiring talk, still as relevant now as it will be in future years. Well done for being human and shouting out for the teachers that cared and recognised you.

Jaz - such a powerful talk - amazing to hear teachers making that difference - and that we all can and so many do

This is one of the most extraordinary Ted talks I’ve ever watched for the simple reason that her unrehearsed joy and sincerity shines throughout... I’ve never seen that in any Ted talk before. Passion yes, but not this level of uncomplicated joy. It’s literally living proof of the transformative effect of her teachers’ - or any ordinary hero’s- care and concern. Also, we’ve all sat on the couch and wondered how the apprentice contestants reliably stuff up simple tasks, I guess the real heroes are the apprentice editors who make it look much easier than it really is for TV haha

Jaz thank you for inspiring so many of us staff at our school this week, because so many feel like failures and end up leaving, but we needed to hear this. Thank you 🙏🏾

This is a video I planned to use in conjunction with teaching the hero's journey with The Odyssey... didn't expect it to hit this 6th year teacher (in the midst of a VERY difficult school year) right in the feels.
