recommended to visit Sekinchan area. Some said they produced half of rice production in Malaysia. Just about an hour from KL. Actually its famous place among local but lack publicity for tourists
Brother.
Do go Central Market on the weekend! You will see people from different background and fashion too
I think it is incomplete, Malaysia should promote traditional cultural dances and Malay food to tourists so that they get to know the culture. Malaysia is full of rich culture and great history, especially in Melaka. In the past, the city of Melaka was magnificent and strong, so our trade center had large houses and palaces. special, even the memories of history were erased by the colonialists. If you go there and study the history, you will know it.
You forgot to interview the foreign labourers
My son relocated from the UK to KL 3 years ago and when I came to visit I fell in love with the place -especially the weather - so I sold my house and finally arrived two days ago to enjoy my retirement here in Malaysia. The only thing I'm going to miss about the UK are my grandkids.
wow its a big move.. but anyway welcome to malaysia...
Selamat Datang
Mind to share what kind of visa you get?
welcome.. what a tough decision. hope you enjoy here
Welcome to Malaysia
Honestly, I have travelled to more than 100 countries around the world. Malaysia is my most favourite country.
Why is that.
Where you from?

I lived in the USA for 10 years and decided to return. Took me about two years to readjust back to the life here. I have never regretted to move back because this is my home. This is a beautiful country with beautiful peace loving people. We may different in ethnicity but we are united and we love each other. Yes, politicians are trying to divide us but we stay together because we know how to differentiate what is politics and what really matter with us as Malaysians. One of the things I am really proud of being a Malaysian is we are currently the only functioning democracy in ASEAN. Hope we the people of Malaysia will keep it that way
Wellcome back to yr hometown my brother,u made a good choice

Lady from Netherlands. Thank you for promoting Borneo
Borneo is a hidden gem. Shine bright in foreseeable future
Borneo especially sarawak is more hospitable to foreign tourists compared to Malaysians from the peninsula. A tourist arrives in sarawak will straightaway given a 90 day stay but we Malaysians from Malaya as people in sarawak would call us will be asked a lot of questions by the immigration officers. Eg; how long are we staying and what's the purpose of being there. I went to sarawak once and not planning to go back. But the people were nice and friendly though.
I think her mother is sarawakian
I enjoy this type of interview where foreigners ask other foreigners why they come to Malaysia. We tend to get honest answers, as there’s nothing to hide when both the interviewer and interviewee are foreigners.
Daft interview for daft viewers
Absolutely. What a load shit@@reikaratnam
At least you've admitted you stay here for the viewership and I appreciate the honesty. I love how Malaysia slowly grew on you 😂
My fiancé and I made our first visit to KL (and Malaysia as well) in April 2024, we both absolutely loved it. This country first piqued my interest well over a decade ago when watching Formula 1 racing, the very cool Sepang Circuit is next door to KLIA. Sadly, Formula 1 no longer has Sepang on their calendar - Singapore became the more popular venue - but after seeing glimpses of Malaysia during the race weekends, I knew we had to go some day......and I'm so glad we did. We hope to go back in 2025. Beautiful country, beautiful people ❤
There a buzz locally that F1 is coming back to Sepang. Hopefully it coincides with your trip here next year.
where are you from sir?
Thanks and come again
You are getting more comfortable doing interviews, Ben. Keep it up.
Nice interviews!... just applied for my residency visa, now its a waiting game, nevous as hell, your video's give me comfort knowing i'm doing the right thing
Thank you. Good luck with your visa, I hope you will be approved soon!
Can you share what kind of residency visa you are applying for? MM2H or something else? I understand that MM2H doesn’t grant residency visa anymore, it’s a long term tourist visa only.
explore more places in Malaysia than KL and klang valley... Malaysia has many state with rich of different cultures and vibes, especially SARAWAK and SABAH.
explore more places rather than those overrated place, theres alot of hidden gems around here and goodluck on your visa, maybe we can have a drink sometimes in the future
Been traveling around here and there and i feel like my own home country, Malaysia has everything that i needed and there is no other places like KL. Blessed!
when my Taiwanese partner visited Malaysia 1st time in his life, he felt amazed esp the multilingual languages we use to communicate (only the local understand the jokes 😆😆), food and the weather!
although I'm now staying in Taiwan, but I will bring my partner visit Malaysia every year! It is a MUST!! bc Malaysia is my hometown, my roots and my soul~~ 😌😌
I suppose that more tourists would prefer to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Bali, or even the Philippines than Malaysia; however, since Kuala Lumpur serves as the hub for AirAsia, a low-cost airline, many of them stopped briefly before continuing on to their intended destinations. Some choose to come back after discovering that Malaysia is a multi-pot nation with several religions, cultures, and languages rather than the largely Islamic country they had previously thought. Come to Malaysia to get a glimpse of Asia if you have very little time, as Malaysia is a truly Asia.
Bali is the best
Every place has its own 'best' ... well, Bali, don't get excited!
@@kiplingkoliak - Before, Bali was the most fascinating location in Indonesia. With its many cultures and breathtaking scenery, Bali never left me bored. Bali has only recently become overly touristy, which is beneficial for the local economy.
Malaysia is my number 1, and I’m just next door in SG. I’ve been many places and my heart belongs in Malaysia. A beautiful country is always gonna be beautiful but beautiful people will make you stay.
Stay beautiful Malaysia!
I lived in New Zealand briefly for 6 months before but I still love Malaysia. Even NZ is blessed with beautiful nature, I love how easy to get delicious food here in Malaysia 24 hours (thanks to mamak restaurant) and as a Muslim its easy to pray as well as mosque/musolla is everywhere.
I am all the more excited, my trip to KL is only a few weeks away 🙏🙏 Not my first time, though. When I first came, it was to meet my father who worked there. I have hopes I will ❤the city again. I am going to take it easy, overnight flights are a big question mark for me today 😅
Very interesting video..
To know Malaysia is to love Malaysia..🇲🇾
Good job Ben, I like these interviews so much 👍💯

@@azidinzidin4915 with all due respect. it's pittance. the multiplier effect is just not there. they spend on emirates qatar or etihad to get here . then stay in backpackers bunks for rm 50 per nite or less. eat cheap nasi lemak, use bus to travel around. even bangla use grab. they share their meals. eat at cheap hawkers and insist on carrying water bottles around and refill wherever they can. it's not my perception..it's plain to see. do the maths, open your eyes and see. finally you and me will pay for assessment, iwk, roadtax, cukai tanah cukai pintu recent tnb and water hike. people stay for rm100 per nite in our country. madani gomen is playing the numbers game, quantity in arrivals with zero quality. Agreed. Whatever the extremist politician try to break the harmony of the society. We Malaysian welcome foreigners to visit Malaysia. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy your stays. 👍🏼👏🏼
it’s a good effort ben..we don’t see so many people doing this and you’re not even malaysian..keep it up. i’ll support you all the way ❤❤❤
Nice work, Ben. You are a natural at interviewing people. For me, my wife is from Malaysia but frankly I had never gone to Malaysia since her family flew out to San Francisco for our wedding. When I was researching for retirement spots, Malaysia kept popping up. I finally visited and toured Malaysia with a guide and my bro-inlaw and fell in love with Malaysia. I especially like Penang and so I went ahead and bought a seaside condo recently. Maybe you come down to Penang and stay with me (2 extra rooms).
Wow! You have improved so much Ben, congratulations because the last time I watched your video, you only have 8K+ subscribers, now twice that amount! It shows that people like it so much about the content and quality of our video. Can't wait to see how much longer for your subscribers to reach 100K. Honestly, I enjoy watching your videos, as a Malaysian who plan to relocate to NY (I got a great job there), I would certainly follow all your videos about Malaysia, especially when the homesick strikes me. I am moving with all my family members, by the way, may be for good.
Hi Ben...I really love your street interview. Thanks for promoting Malaysia to the world.Your channel getting better as time passing by.Take care and cheers.
SURELY MALAYSIA 🇲🇾 IS NUMBER ONE HOLIDAY DESTINATION IN SOUTH-EAST ASIA 2023 AND 2024❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Behind Thailand. The statistic for tourist arrivals in Malaysia is being bloated every year by Singaporeans that are mostly staying for less than a day in JB to buy groceries and fill up their tanks.
@@MrBlabax….tourists are counted when they booked hotels and stay after 24 hours. You don’t know what you are talking about.
Millions of Malaysian go to Thailand. Some booked hotels some come back the same day. Only the one booked hotels considered as tourists.
@@Idaleasofia24 Nope. The number for foreign (tourist) arrivals are recorded and counted at every immigration checkpoints out there.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Malaysia
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Thailand
Can you see for yourself the big difference? 28 millions vs 20 millions.
Without the Singaporean tourists, Thailand is definitely way above us in the quality ($$) of tourists that they are bringing in. Look up at the number of East Asians, Europeans, North Americans, & people from the Gulf States visiting both countries.

If you have to ask, I first came to malaysia because my parents, my siblings, my (both sets) of grandparents, they were all here in malaysia simply because they are malaysians hahah 🤪
But enough about me. Ben, I must say you have come a long way from your earlier videos that I watched! Good for you, and _terima kasih_ for relentlessly putting efforts to promote malaysia, dude! 👏👏👏 May you continue to enjoy pleasant moments that you can cherish forever, throughout your stay in malaysia. Hey Ben, nice video. If you plan to go to Perhentian Island, now is not a good time. It's monsoon season and the sea will be rough. If you want to go to the islands in the East Coast like Perhentian or Redang, the best time to go is between May - Sept. It's peak season and you will definitely enjoy snorkeling in clear turquoise sea 😃
Hey, Ben. I haven’t been back to Malaysia for almost 3 years now since I came to the UK. I’ve been following and watching your videos of Malaysia especially a couple of episodes of my hometown, Kuching. So, thanks for visiting Borneo part of Malaysia. Really enjoyed watching your videos as they kinda cured my homesickness 😅. I hope you’ll continue what you’re doing and find some happiness in doing so. I hope the Malaysian people are kind to you whilst you’re there. Just wishing you the best of time in Malaysia!

What strike me with this very nice video Ben is that you are subconsciously speaking, acting and even thinking a bit Malaysian already.. like you say ‘ya’.. instead of yeah .. sounds Malaysian already and also you are so friendly and very respectful of those people you interviewed . Great job. Bagus Ben .
