Hello! First of all Sorry for Indonesians and Malaysians who watched this video.

    3. It's not hard to find alcohol and pork in Indonesia
    4. There are more than 17,000 islands in Indonesia
    5. You can leave the religion column empty and you can definitely change your religions in Indonesia
    6. More than 197 million Indonesians are living within 100 km of a volcano, with 9 million of them being within just 10 kilometers. / adventure.com/indonesia-volcanoes-rural-life-java-tourism/
    7. The population in Java is not 50 million. but, 150 million
    8. We also have at least 4 earthquakes a day, we don't know where and when they happen
    About Malaysia
    0:24 Subtitle. Malaysia, Indonesia
    1. It's not based on the lottery or seniority. For the Agong (King of the Kings) rotation system, there is a fixed arrangement for the Sultan of each state

From the start when you make a video, you should first research what kind of country you will be discussing. Of course, it's not just based on the participants because what is said is not necessarily 100% correct. Stronger criticism was aimed at this channel and not just at the source.
Talking about traffic jams, oh come on, many developed countries also experience traffic jams. Jakarta is a business center city. I also think the woman who said her experience in Jakarta was not good, actually she also enjoyed the beautiful and cool vibes of Jakarta. But she said it as if she really didn't have any good experiences in Jakarta. Indonesia appears to be backward through the explanation in this video.
Indonesia is the first country to have a high-speed train in ASEAN, WHOOSH (350km/hour). Indonesia is a very large country but the development of public facilities, transportation and development is very advanced. Many big cities in Indonesia besides Jakarta are also modern, such as Surabaya, Medan, Malang, Batam, Tanggerang, Bekasi and others (apart from their beautiful natural tourist attractions). I heard that the nightclubs in Indonesia are the most amazing compared to other countries (correct me if I'm wrong).
For other information about Indonesia, does this channel really not get any reference that in 2023, Indonesian will be inaugurated as the 10th official language at the UNESCO general assembly?
Indonesia is not a Muslim country but has a Muslim majority. But we respect each other between religions. This year we also created a WAR TAKJIL trend (War to buy food typical of the fasting month carried out by non-Muslims and Muslims). Of course this is a good trend because it increases sales for small or home entrepreneurs.
One more thing, Indonesia prioritizes manners and politeness. We don't lift our feet while eating. There is nothing wrong with eating with your hands as long as your hands are clean. And for some foods it's simpler to use your hands. Indonesians 100% use spoons or forks when eating.

Entertainment such as Indonesian music or songs, Indonesian soap operas and films have long been widely consumed by the Malaysian people. Even now, many Indonesian songs are in the Top 10 on Spotify Malaysia. Nice relationship right.
Indonesia has a Chinese tribe but the Chinese Indonesian tribe uses Indonesian in daily conversation. Even on the island of Java, the Chinese are fluent in speaking the regional language where they live in Indonesia. Very interesting and of course beautiful.
Indonesia is also strong in world championships and even Olympics in the fields of sports, science or education. Indonesia won several Olympic gold medals and recently won the AFC ASIAN CUP e-sports and other e-sports. Indonesia is also strong in badminton and recently held the All Indonesian Final in ALL ENGLAND tournament (super 1000) in the men's singles sector and also won 1st place in the men's doubles sector. Don't forget our legendary players THE MINIONS, THE DADDIES, TAUFIK HIDAYAT, LILIANA NATSIR & TONTOWI AHMAD who are role models for badminton athletes.

There are several mistakes that the woman mentioned about Malaysia. 1) King forms European Culture. *NO. The monarchy system in the archipelago has long been practiced in Malaysia. In fact, Kedah, a state in Malaysia is the oldest monarchy in the world. 2) The woman said there is no systematic system for the Agong election. The Agong rotating election system is carried out systematically. The system is maintained by the council of kings and implemented according to the methods and methods set out in the Third Schedule of the Constitution. It is not based on seniority. This woman needs to study the constitution again.

I'm not Indonesian, but you can get everything in Jakarta. I first went to Jakarta in 1995. I was a teenager and with Indonesian friends we went to an alley behind the Plaza Senayan mall in the evening, where alcohol was sold in plastic bags on the street. This alcohol was super strong. In 2002 I went to Jakarta again and went to discos where I saw that hard drugs were being dealt and a lot of alcohol was being consumed. I have always eaten with cutlery whether I was in Medan, Surabaya, Lombok or Menado. And pork is widely available. You can buy a lot of pork, especially in Medan, because there is also a large Chinese community there. Indonesia is a beautiful country.

Even regarding religion, Indonesia is not rigid like that. Indonesia is a country with a high level of tolerance. But compared to discussing religion (previous videos about Indonesia always asked about religion), wouldn't it be more interesting to discuss Indonesia's progress now? Regarding natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, Indonesia does not experience them often. We are certainly grateful.

There's no volcano in Kalimantan Island (in part of Indonesia area). There are 34 of them in Java Island. In total 127 volcanos across Indonesia.
We have 700+ local languages, and most of them still activelly being spoken.
As a muslim, I know where the non halal food being sold. Our non muslim bro are easily found them in malls area, some international resto or even local resto.
The alcohol drinks are also easy to access. Simply go to Bar or Club House. Even some hotels provide them.
We acknowledge 6 religions, including confuciusism. We know that there are lots of our citizen prefer to go with atheisism, but in the ID they will still choosing one of 6 religions acknowledged to put in the ID cause it's mandatory. We have Pancasila as our ideology, which the first verse is Divinity.

I don’t think the guy represents Indonesia very well. Sorry, but I’m quite disappointed. But i still respect and appreciate him though😢
Edit: you can find alcohol VERY EASILY in Indonesia, but more expensive compared to other countries based on my experience. You can find pork EASILY in Indonesia, not just Bali. I’m a Christian, and don’t live in Bali. I literally eat pork every week after church. But once again, the price is higher compared to other countries. Pork isn’t really cheap here in Indonesia, but you can find it very easy, unless in some regions like aceh or padang. We have more than 17000 islands and by island i mean LITERALL islands not just rocks and call it islands (many countries do this, sorry). And not all of our islands have volcanoes, like Kalimantan aka Borneo, that’s why we are moving our capital there (one of the reasons). We do have table manners even in our home. We don’t always eat with our feet on the chair and use our hand. I come from middle class family and i rarely eat with hands, unless i eat nasi Padang. I prefer to eat with spoon. Every household HAVE spoons and forks, LOTS OF THEM 😂😂. Oh my goodness. I was a student exchange and try to educate my international friends about Indonesia, but this is very disappointing 😢 I might only have been to 12/13 countries in the Europe, but from what i’ve seen, Indonesia is way more advanced than most European countries in terms of technology, and entertainment.
I hope he will do more research before he represents our country especially in a big platform like this. Because compared to other Indonesia representatives, this is the most misleading one, sorry i have to be brutally honest

Indonesia has so many ethnic groups. Some of the groups don’t interact with other groups culturally at all other than business commercial. So it makes sense if he only knows the group he grew up with and not very knowledgeable of other groups. The same thing happens in every country with multi ethnics. In India many Hindu people have no idea about the culture of punjab even if they live in the same country for centuries.

Whoa, Gagas did really well with the guessing game but he seriously screwed up here. It’s like he knows more about other countries than his own. Where is he from anyways? 😳
2:26 This is not true, there can’t be one volcano in every island. That sounds like a disaster. Even a major island like Borneo has no volcanoes.
3:03 LOL 200 million people would be most of our population! 😭 There are around 4 million people living near volcanoes, and there’s a reason for that: fertile soil.
3:54 While we do like to eat certain food with our hands, spoons and forks are always available. Having fine silverware is a great pride among households.
4:24 Please don’t be a know-it-all, we’re not talking about Malay food in her own country. Indonesians don’t always have curry. In some cultures here, curry is not even a thing.
4:42 This is probably just a slip of the tongue, but we have more than 17,000 islands, not just 17.
5:12 I don’t know why she kept on butting in, but each region in Indonesia has their own *languages* and not just dialects. Again, we’re not Malaysia.
5:50 Not all the food has to get halal certificate, what about non-halal food? How do you certificate pork as halal? 🙄 Obviously you’d want to have halal cert if you’re targeting Muslim customers. I don’t know where he’s from, but there’s always non-Muslim minority everywhere so pork is available in *most* places, not just Bali.
6:08 Alcohol can easily be found in liquor stores, bars, restaurants, hotels, etc. The exception is Aceh, which is a sharia-ruled province and it’s only one out of 38 provinces. Also, there’s traditional alcoholic drinks throughout the islands.
6:23 This is also not true, you can leave the religion column empty.
6:28 You can definitely change your religions in Indonesia so you don’t have to follow your parent’s. Again, we’re not Malaysia where Muslims can’t convert out of their religion.
Gagas, I’m sorry, man. You live in South Korea but as far as Indonesia (your own country) is concerned, _main lu kurang jauh_ 🤨 Probably the worst representation among other Indonesians who’ve been on this channel.

I think that all European audiences know a lot about Indonesia, and there are people who try to make it seem like Indonesia is no better. Just look at what is shown on the screen when explaining Indonesia, which discusses religion, alcohol, pigs, volcanoes. What's the importance of that! Why not feature Indonesia's first high-speed train in ASEAN called WHOOSH? Why not discuss Indonesian which has been designated as the 10th official language at the UNESCO general assembly? Are there no advantages to Indonesia? Many Indonesian athletes have achieved achievements even at Olympic level. Indonesian songs are also consumed by Malaysia and are widely liked in the Philippines or several other countries. Very different when explaining Malaysia, they show it much better as if OH WOW VERY MODERN and much better. In fact, Indonesia and its cities and even villages are developing very rapidly and JAKARTA! You won't be able to forget the sweet and unforgettable vibes in JAKARTA. Very cool. And regarding culture, Indonesia has a rich culture. and Malaysia? I don't even feel comfortable telling the facts. I am one of the girls in the video. And let me correct you guys, Gagas is innocent! He is such a sweetheart in person. The Worldfriends staff researched everything, not Gagas (they are all Koreans with only basic English skills btw, because this channel is being filmed in Korea), then they put it on a teleprompter, and instructed Gagas and the girl to read it word by word, sentence by sentence. They never wanted Gagas to talk about his own opinions in the first place, he was just supposed to read what’s on the screen.
You don’t know how Korea works, work hierarchy is absolute hell here, if Gagas would have corrected the staff, his higher-ups, they would have never invited him back to this show. Well now that he has gotten so unpopular, they probably won’t do that either way. They prefer to underpay some more popular foreigners that give them more views and thus more money. So yeah, the staff are Koreans and here you cannot ever speak up at work against your higher-up or boss without being totally reprimended, disciplined, and disadvantaged longterm.
Actually one of the other Europeans already corrected another mistake during the filming, they have edited that out.
So anyways, please don’t hate on Gagas, it’s not his fault for being told to read somebody else’s false research. And for the next time you see wrong information in a new Worldfriends video, please don’t ever blame the person because it’s always the Korean staff that plans the videos and tells us foreigners what information to say and talk about.
This is actually so evil of the Korean staff, they don’t even have to try hard planning these videos and looking up stuff because they won’t be in the video anyways. It’s the foreigners that will end up getting blamed and insulted in the comments so why would they care. Plus misinformation and conflict drive up views and engagement as we all know, so they will bag much more money.

First, Indonesia have 6 recognized religion, recorded more local and minority religion and we don't have to choose religion before 18 years old. We were assigned to religion when our parents registrate our birth and we can choose our own anytime. Indonesian do convert to other religion whenever they want. And today, you don't have to choose one of the 6 recognized religions because you can put other faith in the national identity card.
Our national principle, Pancasila, is not about religion but about the believe in god. Some Indonesian do believe in god but do not believe organized religion.
Secondly, you can find pork in almost every region in Indonesia even in muslim majority cities.Just ask your non-muslim friend, especially chinese. In fact we have several regions where Muslim is not majority other than Bali, such as North Sulawesi, Papua, Nusa Tenggara Timur, some part of Moluccas.
Thirdly, I've lived in Sumatera (West Sumatera and Belitung), Java (my island), Bali, Borneo/Kalimantan (Samarinda), North Sulawesi (Kotamubagu) and I can always find spoon and fork! Do you know the popular food which have variants in multiple region in Indonesia? SOTO ! Soto is some kind of soup and yes, we need spoon except if you want to waste the spicy water.
Fourthly, in the past, we didn't have education about earthquake but now, we do have earthquake drill in the offices. Some schools also have earthquake drills.

As tiery level educated person, she shown to the world Malaysia with very least general info on her personal level. Sedih dan kecewa juga. Tapi nak buat cemana, bila hanya mengikut promter kan.
Fact that gua (cave) bukan sahaja ada di Sarawak malah merata Malaysia kerana kita ada jajaran Banjaran (series of hills and mountains). Di Semenanjung pun banyak lah gua like Batu Caves (one of the famous one).
Ehh! Banyaklah info salah fakta. Sekolah je tinggi sampai luar negeri tapi macam tak menjadi graduan universiti, level tinggi education. Paling tidak common knowledge kenalah tak kukuh. Sebab bila luar negeri, kan jadi duta kecil negara. Buat pula video gini, aduh!! Sedih! Kasihann…

I think both needs to travel their own countries more.
    1) most of the Agong facts are correct except for seniority. Turns are already predetermined by the council of kings. They have limited power, but act as an intermediary when needed.
    2) to those who said Indo and Malaysian are not serumpun, obviously never bothered to go through history. Most of the clans in Malaysia came from the migration that happened centuries ago. We have javanese, minang, bugis clans etc in peninsular Malaysia. The northern states have Thai heritage. So yeah.. We are serumpun, even with Thai.
    3) this is for both. We eat with our hands but we also use spoons and forks. We always have these in our kitchens.
    4) the only thing Malaysians are fiercely defending : our food, which was a mix of malays, Chinese and Indian heritage. We have always been victims of claiming by Indo and Singapore. Singapore was a part of Malaysia, but none of the dishes originated from there.
    5) we have nature, we don't promote it enough. But we are modern. And each major race, retains their culture and language, and speaks and at least understand English, so most of Malaysians speak more than 1 or 2 languages.
There are many more, but again, the two reps really need to explore their own backyard first. Not knowing about gua Niah is severely uninformed sis. And bro, 17 islands... I'm a malaysian and even I know indo has so so many more than that.
