I just bought the 8oz bottle and 2 oz spray bottle of Cinema Secrets. This brush cleanser is bomb. I like cleaning my brushes now. I use to hate doing it. Now I can get my brushes clean in half the time and it dries super fast. The spray bottle allows me to use less product. I wish I would've bought the 36 oz instead. Once I finish the 8 oz, I'll get the 36 oz.

I'm a chemist so naturally I wanted to look into what ingredients in this product makes it such a good cleaner and what makes it dry so fast... here's what I got off the sephora site: they are chalked full of 3 different types of parabens!! I know it dries off, but that doesn't mean there isn't some residue leftover in the brush hairs. Since I know you had a problem with the Morphe shadows since they contain parabens, I just thought it was important for you to mention that also. Just an opinion!! :) You still have the best reviews on TH-cam!!

As you said it dries and since I don't apply it directly to skin so contact is incidental. I will also mention it in an upcoming video. I know I have to be more careful now with what I say or don't say. :)
Elwinelle Tina explained it very well in the last video. There has been research linking parabens to cancer, but it's not extensive nor conclusive. But it's enough for me to steer clear. Especially if I'm putting it directly onto my skin (even moreso when it's on the eyelids, they are very thin compared to other skin on other parts of the body).
Love the nails Tina! Had to say that......great review as always. I can see this as a great eye brush cleaner to use, very helpful. Anything to give me more time in a day to do other things.
I love Cinema Secrets brush cleaner but after cleaning any of my face brushes I like to follow up with my Kellyannesoaps brush cleaner which leaves a more pleasant smell. I love the kellyannesoaps brush cleaner for my beauty blenders & sponges especially because I've found that it saves me a lot of time & water for the matter lol. Thanks for sharing.
'Oh Tina I really love that cleanser!!! I have never solely used it to clean my foundation brushes though...I've just always deep cleaned them but good to know it can fully do the job in a pinch!!! Excellent demonstration - Enjoyed ;)

FYI you can get a value pack of 2 32 oz bottles on Amazon for $36. I also love this but I use Dr Bronner's Castile soap for big makeup brushes and sponges. Love love love your reviews.

Have anyone tried using Pink Zote (Laundry) Soap to clean any of your makeup tools? I wonder how well it works? I heard that it is a cheaper alternative to high end makeup brush cleaner.
I'm so glad you posted this video. I was using this all wrong!! I was letting the brushes sit in it too long and it was making it so dirty. I didn't realize I needed to barely dip it in. I have two 32 oz bottles just sitting around so I'll give this another try :)
+thefancyfaced So I tried it again and it works amazing!! lol The only thing I still don't like is the smell. It's so strong and lingers throughout the whole room. It's very alcohol-y so I had to hurry up and clean them and go to another room. But I'm glad I watched this video. Thanks Tina :)

ok i have a questioon i jis used it on my bh cosmetics eco tools set n its seemed to make the lager powder brush hairs loose i may have dipped this one in too long as it was my first try n i wojunder if i dipped it too long would it suck upp to the glue part n soften the glue plzzzz help before i kill ne more brushes :(

Loving your makeup! Are you going to do a tut on this look? I know in the info you will for Gwen Stefani palette but are you using something new as far as foundation? You're looking a little more golden/orange than usual. Nothing wrong with it!! Just thought maybe youve tried something new. :]

This is a great product but it’s no replacement for soap and water. That’s like not taking a shower and instead use hand sanitizer all over your body. Yeah you’re probably getting rid of germs and some grime but you’re truly not getting washed. I think this is a great product if you really need clean brushes but not a lot of time. That sort of thing. But it’s not gonna clean then like good old soap and water
I do love this stuff but this stuff is literally just vanilla scented alcohol. I only know this because one it smells like alcohol, two they don't list ingredients and 3 if you use 97% alcohol (I think that's what it is) it works exactly the same and surprisingly leaves your brushes soft. Maybe the vanilla in it had more of a conditioner but seriously $1 alcohol works the exact same way.
I wouldn't quite go that far but it is very close to it. But pure alcohol doesn't remove cream or liquid products from my brushes. The ingredients are on Sephora in case you are interested though.
