The hardest part of this race is literally the AI being absolute psycho and will pretend you never existed by ramming, pushing you off track and even pit you at braking zone
If u notice the AI also has a very weird line if you are attempting to overtake it at the first turn. Its almost like that sophie AI vid back when state of play came out. The AI straight up overshoots the turn, went 2 tyes on grass but magically able to maintain its speed and meets the apex on the 2nd turn. If you still force your way through it will just run you wide on the outside. God that section murdered my run so many times.
Posting my strats in case someone needs it; PS4, DS4 controller GT7 Version: 1.13 Difficulty: Hard Car: AMG GT3 2016 (the one beauvois is using) Assist: TCS 0, Fuel map 1, ASM on, coutersteer off, Auto GB On RM tyres, pit in at the end of lap 10, full refuel. Pit in at the end of lap 20, RM tyres, refuel up to 10.2~10.3 laps You can gold this with a consistent lap of 1.58/1.59, just make sure you are in the 1st position when you do the first pit. Drive consistently as much as you can, beware of punt-happy AIs, and send it home. You can shave a lot of time at the S section before the downhill U turn (you'll notice the AI is still quite cautious at this section), try cutting the corners without getting a penalty and keep your throttle open as much as possible. Hope y'all find this usefull.
"just make sure you are in the 1st position when you do the first pit" yeah ok. I can consistently do low 1:58 laps but I have absolutely no chance of catching the guy in 1st. He gains about 2 seconds on me every lap so how the f are you going to be 1st at the first pit?
I have finally done it!! Used the M6 with a controller and the 2 stops medium tires method, on hard, tcs set 0, manual of course with some short shifting on full power. Pits were at the end of 10th and 20th laps respectively only grabing fuel for 10 laps. My lap times were mainly in the 57-58 ranges and couple of laps were at the late 56s. Feels so great that i have finally done all the missions for gold, from this day onwards march 7th will be a holiday 😂
Guys, i consider my self a good driver using remote and i was having real issues getting gold on this one using every tutorial i saw. Tried at least 6 or 7 times with all these different cars. Finally made it. My recommendation is, after patch 1.13, i used the Subaru WRX with 2 pits stop, medium tires. Start with fuel map 1 and be aggressive with the take overs. You’re goal is to at least be in front of the Mercedes and M6 before the second lap ends. And soon as you reach first, lower your fuel consumption because Subaru knows how to drink well. Save as much fuel as you can but make sure you stay in 1st. End of lap 10 go to pits and get like 14 laps of fuel. Once you exit the pits you need to still be ahead of both AMG and M6. Make your way to first slowly again while other cars go to pits. Keep this methdod. You need to control your fuel while maintain first position. Small tip: WRX car consumes 1 lap of fuel between fuel map 2 and 3. Use that knowledge of the 2nd pit stop. Either get more fuel and lose + time on pits, or get just enough for 11 laps and keep fuel map on 3. Laps were 1:57 avg. 1:56.100 best/1:59.700 worst. Hope this helps!
@@walowery592 the trick here is you need to be in first place before amg and m6 do. Don’t set them lose on the 1st spot cause they’ll vanish. Then you need to master the track so that you can take every second from each curve. If you master this track, both m6 and amg will maintain the distance on you when you are on fuel 1. If you are on fuel 2 or 3 they might get closer but it will be hard for them to take over. For that reason lower the map fuel so that when in pits you will be faster exiting while still maintaining 1st. First 1 or 2 laps after a pit stop, use fuel 1 to gain a little bit distance. Then drop again to 3 or 4. I think WRX is definitely the best car to master these corners. If you can lap this race a 1:56.400 with wrx you can def win with this car
I tried maybe 20 times or so to do this race with one stop ( hard tyres ) but never acheived higher than 4th and ususally 7th to 11th. Then, today, I bit the bullet and tried the 2 stop medium tyre strategy in the Porsche. I came first AND got 31 laps! I think I won by around 15 seconds ( 2nd place and back didn't get to the 31st lap). Although a lot of the available cars are capable of winning, I liked the Porsche for one main reason, when taking the hairpin ( probably at 70 mph) I only had to turn the steering wheel about 100 degrees which was a lot easier to control than other cars which required over 200 degrees rotation, and allowed a good controlled exit too. I would sometimes lose over a second a lap in other cars when I didn't always get the exit I wanted. Hope this helps someone!
For those still stuck use the gr3 Subaru BRZ medium tire 2 stop with fuel map 1 the whole time. Refuel fully on first pit stop then fuel to 90% on second pit stop. was lapping in the high 1:55s to low 1:56s the whole race and was even able to achieve a 1:55 flat with this car
I finally did it in the Genesis X , medium tyres with a 2 stop strategy, on hard difficulty, with lap times around 1.57/1.58 and won by less than a second. The fact you have to be so quick and can't make any mistakes for a 1 hour race and the AI drive so aggressively makes this mission insanely difficult and stressful. So glad it's over.
Don’t understand this. One time I managed to get 1:57 and low 1:56 with an RSR and the same strategy. Endet up 6th with 42 secs behind first place. Was my best result. Honestly I don’t know what to do in this race. Golded every other of the human comedy races at least after the third try, Austria after 10 tries. In this one I stopped counting.
@@gemischte-tuete From what I remember you need to get into first position before the first pitstop if not start again. Also are you playing on hard difficulty because that makes the AI slightly easier for some reason.
@@Unpopular_Truth Never managed getting close to 1st before the first pit. 3rd was my best and I was still 10sec behind first in round 10 with said times. And yes I play on hard diff. But no change on medium or easy. I guess the mission are not affected by the diff.
@@gemischte-tuete You might need to exit the race menu and start a new race if the AI is too fast. The AI difficulty seems to vary. It took me a lot of tries but when I managed to take 1st place before the first pit I was able to win the race although it was pretty stressful because you can't make any mistakes.
@@gemischte-tuete The main section of the track to gain time if you drive flat out is the sequence of corners about half way through the track before the hairpin. I managed to take first place at the hairpin by forcing the AI off the track into the sand. 😂
Just got it on my second try with a 40s lead. BRZ, TCS 0, Fuel Map 1 Pit at the end of laps 10 and 20. Fill up fuel only up till 75% both times. Lap times avg 1m 57.5s, ranging from 1m 56.8 to 58 at the end of each stint. All the best.
This was one of the harder ones for sure. I did it in the Hyundai. Fuel map at 1 on hards. Run it bone dry. Pit once, fuel only, transition to fuel map 2 for the remainder and short shift where you can. You can win like this if you can get a fairly consistent 1:58 pace going with some 1:57s sprinkled in. It will be close. A crash or penalty is definitely enough to screw you on this one, especially with this car/strategy. Zero room for big mistakes and just a tiny bit of room for minor mistakes.
I did it this morning before your drop as I couldn't wait to try it. I did it in the RCZ on mediums, it took two attempts. The first on I finished third, I was first with one lap to go by 7 seconds. I was taken out by a back marker on the third to last corner and when I was reset I was smashed off again straight away. This put me in 6th and I was quite lucky to actually get back to third. The second attempt I won by nine and a half seconds, though I did pick up a .500 second penalty for track limits at the chicane before 'banky boy'. I was in 7th place after leaving the pits for the final time and 28 seconds behind the leader, C. Lopez (he pits again toward the end). Most importantly I was ahead of Rubilar(?) as he is the one to beat. He was ahead of me by two and a half seconds going into the pit stop. Luckily I knew the amount of laps left and fueled to that amount, this enabled the swap of position. Thankyou very much for the effort that you put into covering this series and the help that you have imparted to our wonderful community. Prior to finding you I had raced Tsukuba four and a half times with 4th being my best result, I really can't thank you enough. 👏👏❤ Like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅

Solving the renault is all about applying small amounts of throttle into and throughout most corners, never really fully coasting like most cars, it's probably my fav gr 3 right now

If anyone can't hit 1:57, 1:58, use the Mercedes-AMG GT3 '20. This makes it easier for you. A very stable rail-car. Always buy fuel for 10-11 laps. The M6 BMW is the fastest, you have to watch it. Not very fast on used tires. He doesn't always pit in the same lap. About 9, 10, or 11. I did it in HARD mode, with auto transmission, TC2, ABS def, 11 lap box, 87% fuel and so on.
You really are a hotshot, drive top lap times and besides, you talk like a waterfall. Respect!! They say we men can't do two things at the same time and you're excellent at both. I'm having trouble coordinating blinking and breathing at the same time...
My main issue with this race is the BOP thing. Sure by all means restrict power and add ballast to equalise power to weight ratio (as is done in some real life racing categories) but the thing that kills it for me is here "BOP" = power understeer. You can't change any diff, suspension or downforce settings to suit your driving style and preference which of course you CAN do in any other race series and is one of the main gameplay factors in these sort of games. Tweak the car to suit. I have a number of Gr3 cars that are set up really sweet (for me) and I like them right on the nose and the rear end is controllable with a bit of throttle and steering. Some people prefer a more pushy car but I don't. I take those cars and use them here and they feel like a boat. Turn 2 I can't ease into the throttle where I can normally as it just pushes out wide rather than the rear end sliding just a bit to give me the nose pointing where I like. High speed corners the same. I like the back to squirm a bit under power. Here even with TCS to 0 it feels.... weird. So I did an experiment. First I did the circuit experience using the Alfa they give you. Not ideal but I got gold on all parts. So I guess I know the track. Second I took one of my Gr3 cars (the Viper in this case) and restricted the power and added ballast to get it to the same power and weight as the BOP applied by the game in this race. But I left the diff, suspension and downforce settings as my own. Again on hard racing tyres. Can easily do 1:57s. Consistently. In the mission, same car, consistent low 1:59 with occasional 1:58s. I just hate the understeer it dials in. So for me it's not a challenge I enjoy just one that frustrates. Oh and as others say the AI seems particularly mad. It's like driving in a field of Paul Tracy and Jason Plato clones.
Yeah I have to admit I’ve noticed this how the game adjusts the car in a way that’s very understeery. Those slow corners, especially turn 2 I’ve noticed the AI fly round them and I’m literally off the throttle coasting round to make it. Very odd. Very frustrating too!
Yeah I’m with you here I hate how BOP locks the set up. I complained to PD about it in sport to. I’m no ace driver but with only a couple of setting changes I can find 3seconds a lap in the McLaren gr3 car, the biggest gain I’ve found in set up is the Suzuki where I’ve found a 5 second gain changing only 5 things. Its stupid that a “racing sim” won’t let you set the car up.
@@sloppyfadge9565 I’m the same, I’m not expert and there’s deffo quicker drivers than me, but it’s so clear that the car is put at an advantage than the others in the field. IMO that isn’t a Racing Sim. That doesn’t happen in real life 😂
Finally did this - used the same car but on medium tyres which was a lot faster, and you can still get away with only 1 pit stop at halfway. Was averaging around 1:58 - ending up winning the race by less than 1 second.
Really wanted to beat this with the RCZ since it’s my favourite group 3 car but couldn’t seem to do it after trying multiple fuel and tyre strats. Tried the Renault and had to improvise with fuel a bit but managed to scrape 1st place on my 1st try. Left the gold prize as a surprise for myself only to find it’s a car I already have 🤦♂️ thank you for recommending the Renault though, definitely does the job 👍
What I really don't understand is that I've seen many videos of this race on youtube and most people drive first three laps about 2.05, 1.59, 1.59 and they overtake 1st position at the end of lap 3. I can consistently do the first three laps at 2.03, 1.58, 1.58 so 4 seconds faster but at this point I am usually third or fourth 5 seconds behind 1st. And from this point on the guy in 1st gains 1-2 seconds on me every lap. Absolutely zero chance of catching him. Also the AI pit faster than me even though I stop the fuel at 10.2. This race makes no sense
After much trial and error, I won this event using the 1997 Toyota Castrol Supra GT500. I used Racing Medium tires, Fuel Map at 1, with TCS at 1, with very occasional 2. I also pit in at laps 10 and 20, refueling to exactly 10 laps worth of fuel. I managed to win the race with just .651 seconds ahead of the person in second place, in the Honda NSX GR.3. The race was won on Normal difficulty, as well. This was a very challenging race, but persistence, smooth driving, and pitting strategy paid off handsomely.
Golded it with the BMW Z4. 2 stops, medium tyres. Almost every lap was a 1.58 or 1.59. It's not as good on turns as many others but it is a powerhouse on speed and acceleration and that made it easier for me. Still the hardest challenge I've encountered in the game so far, just because there's almost no room for a single mistake in more than an hour.
Z4 was also my choice and I think especially for controller players it is much easier to handle and consistent compared to the Renault or others. With 1.58/1:59 times I was able to win the race by 0.2 seconds xD
Ridiculous. Tried with the Z4 on the two stop strat. average lap around 1.59 and was 40 seconds off the lead in 11th by the end. I’ve gotten gold on every other challenge I’ve ever tried so I don’t think I’m that bad.
@@assanitor04 Even worse here! Had similar lap times and ended up 13th with 80 seconds off the lead. Maybe this thing was changed with version 1.13 ...
I tried a bunch of cars for this one including the RCZ, Subaru BRZ and Mazda Vision GT3. Ended up trying the Huracan GT3 on a 2 stop strategy and was able to win with a 5 second gap. Started on mediums and went to lap 9 before they were dead so the middle stint I switched to hards with the intent of making them last until lap 21 so I could go mediums until the end. Worked pretty well as I could keep a good pace on the hards and pass the front runners on the pit stops.
After my 7th or 8th attempt, I finally managed to win this one. I drove the Mercedes AMG GT3 2020, all assists off and on the 2x RM strategy. I absolutely love the handling of the AMG; it’s quite powerful in low revs too. Won with about 10 seconds margin to Nubilar, and only messed up one time (turn 5, about 75% into the race). Drove 1:57s and low 1:58s quite consistently). What did the trick for me was after pitting the first time (end of lap 10) I was quite easy on first two inlaps, avoiding traffic as much as possible (like said here before, the AI is insane in this race). Around the end of lap 12, there is enough room and space to weave through traffic again with being punted of track. Hope you guys make it too. This is by far the most difficult in-game race of the whole of GT7.
Just finishing this race after a lot of tries and many cars.. Medium tyre/2stops with the RX-VISION GT3. Good pace and 18sec ahead.. Good luck everybody
This race was the hardest for me to get gold on. Rubliar is always quick and sometimes Gallo is very fast towards the end. What I did was use BMW M6, medium tyres and I would stay just infront of Rubliar and pit exactly the same time to defend against him. He normally pits twice, use overtaking the other slower cars to get yourself some breathing space. It's a pain but it's doable.
It seems like the medium tires will work well with the front engine cars like this. They don't snap as hard as the mid engine cars do so thanks for sharing your experience!
I think my game is just glitched then, I tried already 5 different cars hitting at least 1.57 and 1.58 constantly but still can’t take the 1st place. This game is a bullshit

They're quick when you're about 5+ seconds behind, then when you're right behind them they drive like shit, then you pass them and then all of a sudden they're on brand new tyres trying to dive bomb you at every opportunity. I still can't believe I won that race with the pace I had.

Just Golded this with the Aston Martin DBR9. What a beast that car is. Feels super balanced, handles beautifully and super fuel efficient. However it is pricey at 800k so you're eating into your prize money massively. I used: Fuel map 1 Tcs1 Racing Mediums Pit lap 10 and 20 for fresh RM tyres and fuel, you won't need to fill the tank either , saves some time. Finished 16 seconds ahead , was putting in 1:56/1:58 lap times.
I've been doing mid 1.57 at best and odd lap at 2.00... 1 stop in this car on hard ... average times at 1.58... best position I can get is 9. Makes no sense. 🤔
To anyone still struggling, after trying 20 different gr3 cars finally found it. - Hyundai genesis 3 -tc0 (get used to it, makes the difference here) -ASM on -no help on countersteer -default ABS -fuel 1 -racing mediums (start with them and change them in every pit you make) -lap at end of 10th (fuel 11) and at the end of lap 20 (fuel 10) Other tips: •get used the brakes on the long downhill •before the downhill there's an S area with 3 turns, you can full speed them, still no penalty Won this by 15 seconds with best 1:56.4 and slow ones/tires consumed at 1:59/2 Average 1:57/58 Got 2 penalties too Hope it helps, enjoy If too hard still, get used to the track ok the lake track experience
Well, I had it, made one mistake on minute 54 and lost by 13 seconds. I'm using the genesis gr3, and it definitely feels best to me so far, but just to be certain I'm not missing out on the right car, you mean the genesis gr3 not the genesis X gr3 right?
AI did a best lap on hard, the best lap of Rubilar was 1:47.468, how do they only do 1:56 for you? on easy quickest lap of rubilar is 1:48.798 and on normal 1:47.192. Did something break with 1.18 update?
A tried so hard for a week with different tyres pits and cars....Just did it!. Mercedes Benz gt3 '16. Medium tyres. 2 pits at 10th (maximum fuel and fresh medium tyres) and 20th (fuel for 11.5 laps and fresh medium tyres) laps. Every lap at ~1:57,5. Manual transmission, hard difficulty, 1 point for traction control. No wheel, just dualsense. 2nd after me for 2 seconds was same Mercedes Benz. It is the fastest gt3 car on a track, so every lap you can earn at least 0.2 seconds

This is ridiculously hard. I finished with a time of 1:00:32.398 and finished 5th!!? Apart from the first lap, all (that I could see) of my laps were under 1:59. I didn't make any real mistakes. I don't think I could have pushed it any further. I pitted twice with the GR Supra Concept '18. Filling 100% then about 75% No matter how hard I pushed the guy in 1st kept pulling away... Even when I achieved a 1:56:9 something. This is annoying as I like to get all my golds.
No chance in hell… From lap 3 or 4, I get stuck in 3rd place, the front runners are getting farther and farther away and 4th place is getting closer and closer. I guess I'm not good enough, I just can't get under 1:59 😔

I tried driving the R.S.01 and it's extremely difficult to drive. That rear end tends to slide out making me lose speed. Will try the Peugeot RCz, should be much easier
AI cars lapping at 1:58? Mine are always at 1:52, on easy or hard. Used the Porsche RSR on mediums and managed 12th. As of the latest patch this race is outright broken.
I almost had it with the AMG GT3 but near the 50 minute mark I had the 2nd place car ram me off when it was attempting to overtake me. Whoole race gone
two stop strategy works with genesis gr3 (not X) and PS5 controller as of today 03AUG22. I beat it at 1 hour and 20 seconds 19 seconds ahead of p2. Tcs on 0. stc enabled. Steering sensitivity default setting. Auto transmission. No other assists enabled. Difficulty set to hard. First lap was 2:02, fastest laps were first 3 after fresh tyres with 1:56. Slowest single lap 1:59. All other laps were 1:57. Only time I had a lap more than 2:00 were out laps from pits and first lap. Medium tyres. Pit at lap 10 with 11 lap range fuel and pit at lap 20 with 10 range fuel.
I finished 30 laps and was like a minute behind, hard AI LOL this one's gonna be tough. Getting constantly taken out by the AI is probably the toughest part
They ai are really ridiculous on this one. I feel like you should be able to win it if you can get to the lead in the first part. You just need a lucky run where the ai have a slightly slower pace
@Unleashed Drivers I really do love your videos and are helpfull, but would you please do this race now with current updates (1.43) ? The AI is broken as hell and Yamanaka and Rubilar are doing laps you go insane, they are 45 seconds ahead and I do 1:58, 1:59 lap times. First lap everything normal, then Yamanaka is going like hell, Rubilar can be taken out of the race but Yamanaka not. The behaviour of Yamanaka in your video is nothing like in the video anymore :-((((( and changing the difficulty didn't help either
Hey mate, unfortunately I don't currently have access to GT7 because of my current wheel setup but If I get back into Gran Turismo at some point, I'll possibly look at correcting old information from these guides, but this is not guaranteed and it could be a while. I do remember that the GT7 AI were a bit odd and sometimes seemed borderline impossible to beat, I guess they never really improved it.
Both of them get 1:56 lap times and for me the Japanese guy only pitted once I just wasted an hour of my life on a next to impossible race. And still ended up 6th (bronze lol) Because 5 people pitted once on mediums. At one point I was P2 and about 6.5 seconds behind Yamanaka but then Rubilar in P3 sent me to the shadow realm on the first hairpin 😂 This is the most infuriating race ever, it’s harder than the Super license S imo
Best is 9th on third full attempt after back to back 16th places. No point in trying to save fuel and do a one stop, flat out two stopper. Used the Skyline Super Silhouette. About 2.5 off the fasted lap.
Lexus RCF its a beast to save fuel and tyres if that can help someone. Go on hard and follow kokubun on map 2 or 3. Then continue when he pits. I pit at 19th lap. Take de medium for second part til the end. Take just enought fuel to finish. Im not very good so if you re better may be you can do better strat with this car. :)
i got it, but with the Porsche. it was going well until the last 2 laps then came the BMW M6 back... i think with DRS 🙄 . It was very close. I had to block the BMW
This has been the one I just can't do. 1. I'm on controller. 2. I only have so much time to practice and "git gud". I'll try the rs01. I've tried the amg, both Peugeot, the nismo gtr, the supra, and the Subaru. The amg was my best but still couldn't even compare. Thanks for the vid.
This one is tough, it took 7 attempts for me to even complete it and get Bronze, 30 seconds off first place. I would either make a stupid mistake or get taken out by the idiotic AI 15-20 minutes in. I was able to beat the circuit experience and get gold but I just can't get a flow going in the race, most of my lap times are 2:00 or 2:01 with the occasional 1:59. I've tried various cars and that still is the best time I can maintain over a long run. I did it with the V12 Vantage, but might try again with the Porsche. That feels the most stable to me, but it might be bit slow.
really great how you have the Renault under control. Hats off. I don't stand a chance with this car. Extemes oversteer in the 2nd curve... almost out of nowhere. I'm fastest with the Aston Martin. But in the end no more gas. With the Porsche I was the most stable on hard tires and one stop, but the Ai is always in the way. Here is the best community and thanks to everyone who shares their tips and experiences. I'm also reassured that I'm not the only one having difficulties 😁🤣😉✌️
Renault was a pain to drive, I had it a bit sideways on a few occasions in my run. The aston felt amazing honestly. If you could maybe run it a step or two leaner on the fuel map do you think it would make it to the end? I didnt have a very long run in the Porsche so I'm not too sure how it feels
@@unleasheddrivers1281 I was driving the Aston Martin with the medium tires. It could be level 2 or 3. It takes so much luck because of the Ai. I'll try the Lexus first. @Léo recommended it here. ..and then one last time with the Porsche. I'm afraid that will keep me busy for a long time 😂

For those who need help, I was able to win at the hardest difficulty. How I did it?: - used the Renault Gr.3 - racing medium - pit every 20 minutes - traction control to Zero - fuel power or capacity to max (1) I suggest you doing it, it actually works.
The lap record was 1:56 at the end of the race in your video, I usually manage to do a 1:58. That would not be that bad if the IA (in my game) would not make a fricking 1:53!!!! I started the race, and the laps goes by as my position to the back of the pack....
This game is glitched, I tried it with over 10 different cars from 1985 Silhouette to modern ones, strategies, most laps under 1.59, and my best result is a sad 11. WTF.
I’ve done this race two times now and can only get 5th as best result… just did a one stop in the Porsche. Not sure what to do anymore. If I can drive like the AI and get 1:56 every time maybe it’s possible.
1 thing I can't get my head round... just done my 1st attempt in the A.M Vantage and my lap times are roughly the same maybe .5 second quicker than yours. 2 stop RM and still finished 40sec behind in 15th... WTF??? Made no mistakes and was very consistent.
I finally beat it today on update 1.37 with the 458 Italia on mediums by .203 seconds. Punchy V8 like the AMG but MR for balanced tire wear and cornering. I don’t think this race has a one car for all win strategy since its BOP, go with the car you are fastest with especially through the S section. You can attack on this part of the track to pass and get ppl off your case and then defend everywhere else. I averaged 1:59 but did pull a 1:57.1, doesn’t matter as much atleast one AI will best your best lap I used FM 2 whenever in 1st place, one lap before pit and always on the first lap out the pit until tires warm. FM 1 all other times. Pit at 40:00 and 20:00 taking 10.5 laps each. Rubilar was not a threat on my run Yamanaka and Fraga got 2nd and 3rd.
I’m pretty average, I was way off the lead lapping 2:01 with the Renault, used the Porsche and managed to get that down to 1:58, RM tyres, fuel map 1, TC 1, 1 pit stop at the half way point, had to hold off a pack of 3 cars on the final 8 laps which I luckily managed to do and won by milliseconds, p.s set the difficulty to easy for this one, that seems to be the easiest on this one
play this fucking shit in update 1.31 the tire wear is significantly higher but not for the opponents and you drive 2 seconds slower than before if not even 3 seconds and the opponent drives invariably 1.56 to 1.57. I was 26 seconds ahead since the update with my 2nd acc, 40 seconds behind and therefore impossible. I used to drive with hard tires 1.57 when the tires have degraded 1.58 now I can't even manage with medium tires 1.57 and from the 10th lap the medium tires are completely red in the front, before they were only half red
Lucky me only got around to attempting this mission after that update. I've tried over ten times and best I've done is 4th. I could do a little better and get 3rd or 2nd, but 1st is impossible.
Can someone please try and do this mission with a controller because I use a controller and automatic gears and it’s impossible. Please someone prove me wrong. I don’t know if gold is even possible using a controller id be happy with bronze but I can’t even achieve that on this last mission. Id appreciate any help.
I used wrong car i used Mishubishi EVO Gr.3 car and Audi R8 LS Mans version and Chevrolet Corvette in this circuit and i used Mercedes Benz AMG GT aswell but non of them helped i hope this Renault RS wil help me a lot thanks for the tip.
You have to be really skilled to drive this Renault for 1 hour in a fast pace and not make many mistakes. This car just wants to oversteer really badly when cornering at low speeds
Finally done. With the Porsche. Always on Fuel 1 and 2 stops, 1st run with hard, (12th round box)....(Time 1:58 - 1:59) 2nd run with medium for 9 rounds, last with medium, (Time 1:57 one or 2 Laps on 1:56). it was going well until the last 2 laps then came the BMW M6 with DRS or tailwind or something.... . realy unfair... where did that get so much power from. In the replay i can really see how the one on the straight suddenly catches up. cheek 🤔😵 It was very close. I had to block the BMW to win all Gold 🎊🎉🥳🥳🥳🍻
Completed as of yesterday, came back here to let you guys know its not impossible on controller. Did it with the porsche, pit on lap 10 and 20, filled for 10 laps per stop. Finished with 30 second lead 👍🏻
I just don't know what's wrong with this race ... I trained on time attacks with Peugeot RCZ (PP are even a little lower) than the race itself. I set a record of 1.56.7 time. At the race itself .... I just can't reach that time ??? I tried all three difficulties, but it didn't work(I repeatedly achieved a time of 1.57.3-6I) don't think the problem is in me - there is something wrong. I'm playing with a PS4 controller!My best place is a 6th...WOW, damn you PD! P. S Can i buy a steering weel for one race???? NO WAY.... SCREW YOU!!!!!!
How some people can win the gold with 1.58 time when my AI down a lap in 1.56 lol. That's impossible and with the Renault RS01 with a controller, that's pretty difficult to get less than 1.59
Is it just me or after this last update this endurance race has just got harder, I’m struggling like hell with this one, putting in 1:58/1:59 constant laps, AI now put 1:56 🤷♂️ Rubilar just gets in front now and it’s bye then 🤦😂
They definitely did and very likely intentionally to troll and hate on their fanbase. I ran laps at 1:56 and never under 1:59 and lost by a minute! Ai ran slightly faster in the low 1:56 but because they are immune to tire wear they never lose tread and run every lap the same. They are also now designed to magically gain 10 seconds in the pits. I just did it and discovered this myself. Now impossible and definitely my last Gran Turismo after being my favorite franchise for 25 years.
It's doable. I run this mission just for fun/challenge. I've now won it with 9 different cars. My top 3 cars at this point are: VW Beetle. 1.55.7 avg 1.56.9 worst 1.59 BMW M6 EM 1.55.9 avg 1.57.3 Worst 1.59.6 Mercedes AMG 1.55.9 avg 1.57.4 Worst 1.59.9
Drove my ass off and did a 2 stop race with the Z4. Had plenty of 1:58 laps and didn’t get killed by the AI for once. Only got 6th. If I can do that and do a 1 stop I can win… ugh. This is the last challenge I need
It was really easy for me to be honest. I did it on medium difficult, 2 pit stops, twice 80% fuel, medium tires and with f-type. 1.56-1.58 times lap. Best 1.55.900. I had 25 sec before second AI. Greetings.
My best time is 1:58:560. I did it in RSR (TC1, manual gearbox). Its enough only for 7th place. I think its almost impossible to do it on controller (PS5). I tried almost everything - different cars, different settings (TC, assist, AT/MT)...
@@derfferd9096 i try almost everything most of gt 3 cars with all different setting (mt,at,tc on off). I spend 5-6h and best i can do is 1:58. On time trial i did easy gold. My racing line is good. On controller for me its impossible.
If you cant win with 1.56 lap times then they've broken the ai even more. 1.56 are flying lap times. I hope they sort the ai out soon. I just got back from vacation and tried the 1.13 update for the first time and immediately got slammed out of corners by every ai that was around me.. Its frustrating
This race is extremely broken. Tried with every single Gr.3 car I have, and no matter how hard or fast I am, I'm 3-8 seconds behind Yamanaka's Supra. In hope 1.20 fixes the AI on this shitty race, because this is terrible. I got every other Human Comedy race done easily, but this sucks. Balance of performance? Yeah right.
I'm completely stuck on this race. Practically given up. For just a casual gamer its impossible. Fastest I can get is 2 minute laps. No matter what car i use the AI cheats. I use the 2 pit stop stretegy and I Can't even get bronze on this race. Ai is way to fast, soon as i pit im a good 20 to 30 sexonds behind and they r impossible to catch. The ai constantly crash into you or spin you off track. They need to patch this race. Make it a more fair race.
Guys, if you struggle with this, try another car. I was so despair about it. I couldn’t even finish with Renault and Peugeot every TH-camr advices. But with Porsche rsr I got gold with my second attempt!
You can't change setup on this race, it's a BOP race (balance of performance) so each car is fixed to a specific setup. You can only change tires and I recommend hard tires because medium tires at least in the mid engine cars become hard to drive after about 5 or 6 laps
I clearly need another strat. I'm clearly not good enough to handle the Renault or the RCZ, only able to put together 1.58 or 1.59 lap times, lost by more than 30 seconds in both. Constantly losing time on the leaders every single lap. They just have so much straight line speed, the pit-straight and back-straight loses me like 1 second a lap. The AI is putting in 1.56 and even 1.55 lap times. I'm not even going to bother touching it really. Think I will just run Le Mans and buy the cars when they pop up in rotation lol. Just a waste of time for a driver like me.
two stop strategy works with genesis gr3 (not X) and PS5 controller as of today 03AUG22. I beat it at 1 hour and 20 seconds 19 seconds ahead of p2. Tcs on 0. stc enabled. Steering sensitivity default setting. Auto transmission. No other assists enabled. Difficulty set to hard. First lap was 2:02, fastest laps were first 3 after fresh tyres with 1:56. Slowest single lap 1:59. All other laps were 1:57. Only time I had a lap more than 2:00 were out laps from pits and first lap. Medium tyres. Pit at lap 10 with 11 lap range fuel and pit at lap 20 with 10 range fuel.
I think the 2 stop is actually a bit easier. If ur doing 1:58xxx on hards, you can pick the car you like, put on meds and you can likely get 1:56xxx. No management required, and you would likely have the same gap (again, based on ur pace).
I was actually doing basically the same pace on mediums for some reason, if anything it was only .5 faster on my attempt. Pitting a second time would immediately throw another 20 or more seconds away which is big in this race. The tire advantage didnt seem to be big enough to counter this. Maybe on some cars its different

I didn't reached this race yet but I don't like the Renault behaviour during braking; I was thinking about the Supra but a friend of mine didn't recommend it, instead he told me (as you told in the video) the M6 or the RX. Hope just to don't waste much time for this race tho
The hardest part of this race is literally the AI being absolute psycho and will pretend you never existed by ramming, pushing you off track and even pit you at braking zone

If u notice the AI also has a very weird line if you are attempting to overtake it at the first turn. Its almost like that sophie AI vid back when state of play came out. The AI straight up overshoots the turn, went 2 tyes on grass but magically able to maintain its speed and meets the apex on the 2nd turn. If you still force your way through it will just run you wide on the outside. God that section murdered my run so many times.
I was in 2nd with 20min left and got obliterated into turn 1 by an NSX from 1 mile behind.

Assist: TCS 0, Fuel map 1, ASM on, coutersteer off, Auto GB
On RM tyres, pit in at the end of lap 10, full refuel.
Pit in at the end of lap 20, RM tyres, refuel up to 10.2~10.3 laps
You can gold this with a consistent lap of 1.58/1.59, just make sure you are in the 1st position when you do the first pit.
Drive consistently as much as you can, beware of punt-happy AIs, and send it home. You can shave a lot of time
at the S section before the downhill U turn (you'll notice the AI is still quite cautious at this section), try cutting the corners without getting a penalty and keep your throttle open
as much as possible.

"just make sure you are in the 1st position when you do the first pit" yeah ok. I can consistently do low 1:58 laps but I have absolutely no chance of catching the guy in 1st. He gains about 2 seconds on me every lap so how the f are you going to be 1st at the first pit?
I have finally done it!!
Used the M6 with a controller and the 2 stops medium tires method, on hard, tcs set 0, manual of course with some short shifting on full power. Pits were at the end of 10th and 20th laps respectively only grabing fuel for 10 laps. My lap times were mainly in the 57-58 ranges and couple of laps were at the late 56s. Feels so great that i have finally done all the missions for gold, from this day onwards march 7th will be a holiday 😂
Guys, i consider my self a good driver using remote and i was having real issues getting gold on this one using every tutorial i saw. Tried at least 6 or 7 times with all these different cars. Finally made it. My recommendation is, after patch 1.13, i used the Subaru WRX with 2 pits stop, medium tires. Start with fuel map 1 and be aggressive with the take overs. You’re goal is to at least be in front of the Mercedes and M6 before the second lap ends. And soon as you reach first, lower your fuel consumption because Subaru knows how to drink well. Save as much fuel as you can but make sure you stay in 1st. End of lap 10 go to pits and get like 14 laps of fuel. Once you exit the pits you need to still be ahead of both AMG and M6. Make your way to first slowly again while other cars go to pits. Keep this methdod. You need to control your fuel while maintain first position. Small tip: WRX car consumes 1 lap of fuel between fuel map 2 and 3. Use that knowledge of the 2nd pit stop. Either get more fuel and lose + time on pits, or get just enough for 11 laps and keep fuel map on 3. Laps were 1:57 avg. 1:56.100 best/1:59.700 worst. Hope this helps!

@@walowery592 the trick here is you need to be in first place before amg and m6 do. Don’t set them lose on the 1st spot cause they’ll vanish. Then you need to master the track so that you can take every second from each curve. If you master this track, both m6 and amg will maintain the distance on you when you are on fuel 1. If you are on fuel 2 or 3 they might get closer but it will be hard for them to take over. For that reason lower the map fuel so that when in pits you will be faster exiting while still maintaining 1st. First 1 or 2 laps after a pit stop, use fuel 1 to gain a little bit distance. Then drop again to 3 or 4. I think WRX is definitely the best car to master these corners. If you can lap this race a 1:56.400 with wrx you can def win with this car

I used this car fuel map 1 all the way through, averaging 1.57 and won by 2 second
I tried maybe 20 times or so to do this race with one stop ( hard tyres ) but never acheived higher than 4th and ususally 7th to 11th. Then, today, I bit the bullet and tried the 2 stop medium tyre strategy in the Porsche. I came first AND got 31 laps! I think I won by around 15 seconds ( 2nd place and back didn't get to the 31st lap). Although a lot of the available cars are capable of winning, I liked the Porsche for one main reason, when taking the hairpin ( probably at 70 mph) I only had to turn the steering wheel about 100 degrees which was a lot easier to control than other cars which required over 200 degrees rotation, and allowed a good controlled exit too. I would sometimes lose over a second a lap in other cars when I didn't always get the exit I wanted. Hope this helps someone!
For those still stuck use the gr3 Subaru BRZ medium tire 2 stop with fuel map 1 the whole time. Refuel fully on first pit stop then fuel to 90% on second pit stop. was lapping in the high 1:55s to low 1:56s the whole race and was even able to achieve a 1:55 flat with this car

I finally did it in the Genesis X , medium tyres with a 2 stop strategy, on hard difficulty, with lap times around 1.57/1.58 and won by less than a second. The fact you have to be so quick and can't make any mistakes for a 1 hour race and the AI drive so aggressively makes this mission insanely difficult and stressful. So glad it's over.
Don’t understand this. One time I managed to get 1:57 and low 1:56 with an RSR and the same strategy. Endet up 6th with 42 secs behind first place. Was my best result. Honestly I don’t know what to do in this race. Golded every other of the human comedy races at least after the third try, Austria after 10 tries. In this one I stopped counting.
@@gemischte-tuete From what I remember you need to get into first position before the first pitstop if not start again. Also are you playing on hard difficulty because that makes the AI slightly easier for some reason.
@@Unpopular_Truth Never managed getting close to 1st before the first pit. 3rd was my best and I was still 10sec behind first in round 10 with said times. And yes I play on hard diff. But no change on medium or easy. I guess the mission are not affected by the diff.
@@gemischte-tuete You might need to exit the race menu and start a new race if the AI is too fast. The AI difficulty seems to vary. It took me a lot of tries but when I managed to take 1st place before the first pit I was able to win the race although it was pretty stressful because you can't make any mistakes.
@@gemischte-tuete The main section of the track to gain time if you drive flat out is the sequence of corners about half way through the track before the hairpin. I managed to take first place at the hairpin by forcing the AI off the track into the sand. 😂
Just got it on my second try with a 40s lead.

Pit at the end of laps 10 and 20.
Fill up fuel only up till 75% both times.
Lap times avg 1m 57.5s, ranging from 1m 56.8 to 58 at the end of each stint.

This was one of the harder ones for sure. I did it in the Hyundai. Fuel map at 1 on hards. Run it bone dry. Pit once, fuel only, transition to fuel map 2 for the remainder and short shift where you can. You can win like this if you can get a fairly consistent 1:58 pace going with some 1:57s sprinkled in. It will be close. A crash or penalty is definitely enough to screw you on this one, especially with this car/strategy. Zero room for big mistakes and just a tiny bit of room for minor mistakes.
I did it this morning before your drop as I couldn't wait to try it. I did it in the RCZ on mediums, it took two attempts. The first on I finished third, I was first with one lap to go by 7 seconds. I was taken out by a back marker on the third to last corner and when I was reset I was smashed off again straight away. This put me in 6th and I was quite lucky to actually get back to third. The second attempt I won by nine and a half seconds, though I did pick up a .500 second penalty for track limits at the chicane before 'banky boy'. I was in 7th place after leaving the pits for the final time and 28 seconds behind the leader, C. Lopez (he pits again toward the end). Most importantly I was ahead of Rubilar(?) as he is the one to beat. He was ahead of me by two and a half seconds going into the pit stop. Luckily I knew the amount of laps left and fueled to that amount, this enabled the swap of position.

Solving the renault is all about applying small amounts of throttle into and throughout most corners, never really fully coasting like most cars, it's probably my fav gr 3 right now

If anyone can't hit 1:57, 1:58, use the Mercedes-AMG GT3 '20. This makes it easier for you. A very stable rail-car. Always buy fuel for 10-11 laps. The M6 BMW is the fastest, you have to watch it. Not very fast on used tires. He doesn't always pit in the same lap. About 9, 10, or 11. I did it in HARD mode, with auto transmission, TC2, ABS def, 11 lap box, 87% fuel and so on.

My main issue with this race is the BOP thing. Sure by all means restrict power and add ballast to equalise power to weight ratio (as is done in some real life racing categories) but the thing that kills it for me is here "BOP" = power understeer. You can't change any diff, suspension or downforce settings to suit your driving style and preference which of course you CAN do in any other race series and is one of the main gameplay factors in these sort of games. Tweak the car to suit.
I have a number of Gr3 cars that are set up really sweet (for me) and I like them right on the nose and the rear end is controllable with a bit of throttle and steering. Some people prefer a more pushy car but I don't. I take those cars and use them here and they feel like a boat. Turn 2 I can't ease into the throttle where I can normally as it just pushes out wide rather than the rear end sliding just a bit to give me the nose pointing where I like. High speed corners the same. I like the back to squirm a bit under power. Here even with TCS to 0 it feels.... weird.
So I did an experiment. First I did the circuit experience using the Alfa they give you. Not ideal but I got gold on all parts. So I guess I know the track.
Second I took one of my Gr3 cars (the Viper in this case) and restricted the power and added ballast to get it to the same power and weight as the BOP applied by the game in this race. But I left the diff, suspension and downforce settings as my own. Again on hard racing tyres. Can easily do 1:57s. Consistently. In the mission, same car, consistent low 1:59 with occasional 1:58s. I just hate the understeer it dials in.
So for me it's not a challenge I enjoy just one that frustrates. Oh and as others say the AI seems particularly mad. It's like driving in a field of Paul Tracy and Jason Plato clones.
Yeah I have to admit I’ve noticed this how the game adjusts the car in a way that’s very understeery. Those slow corners, especially turn 2 I’ve noticed the AI fly round them and I’m literally off the throttle coasting round to make it. Very odd. Very frustrating too!
Yeah I’m with you here I hate how BOP locks the set up. I complained to PD about it in sport to. I’m no ace driver but with only a couple of setting changes I can find 3seconds a lap in the McLaren gr3 car, the biggest gain I’ve found in set up is the Suzuki where I’ve found a 5 second gain changing only 5 things. Its stupid that a “racing sim” won’t let you set the car up.

Finally did this - used the same car but on medium tyres which was a lot faster, and you can still get away with only 1 pit stop at halfway. Was averaging around 1:58 - ending up winning the race by less than 1 second.

Really wanted to beat this with the RCZ since it’s my favourite group 3 car but couldn’t seem to do it after trying multiple fuel and tyre strats. Tried the Renault and had to improvise with fuel a bit but managed to scrape 1st place on my 1st try. Left the gold prize as a surprise for myself only to find it’s a car I already have 🤦♂️ thank you for recommending the Renault though, definitely does the job 👍
What I really don't understand is that I've seen many videos of this race on youtube and most people drive first three laps about 2.05, 1.59, 1.59 and they overtake 1st position at the end of lap 3. I can consistently do the first three laps at 2.03, 1.58, 1.58 so 4 seconds faster but at this point I am usually third or fourth 5 seconds behind 1st. And from this point on the guy in 1st gains 1-2 seconds on me every lap. Absolutely zero chance of catching him. Also the AI pit faster than me even though I stop the fuel at 10.2. This race makes no sense
This is my experience also
After much trial and error, I won this event using the 1997 Toyota Castrol Supra GT500. I used Racing Medium tires, Fuel Map at 1, with TCS at 1, with very occasional 2. I also pit in at laps 10 and 20, refueling to exactly 10 laps worth of fuel. I managed to win the race with just .651 seconds ahead of the person in second place, in the Honda NSX GR.3. The race was won on Normal difficulty, as well.
This was a very challenging race, but persistence, smooth driving, and pitting strategy paid off handsomely.
Golded it with the BMW Z4. 2 stops, medium tyres. Almost every lap was a 1.58 or 1.59.
It's not as good on turns as many others but it is a powerhouse on speed and acceleration and that made it easier for me.
Still the hardest challenge I've encountered in the game so far, just because there's almost no room for a single mistake in more than an hour.

Z4 was also my choice and I think especially for controller players it is much easier to handle and consistent compared to the Renault or others. With 1.58/1:59 times I was able to win the race by 0.2 seconds xD
Ridiculous. Tried with the Z4 on the two stop strat. average lap around 1.59 and was 40 seconds off the lead in 11th by the end. I’ve gotten gold on every other challenge I’ve ever tried so I don’t think I’m that bad.

I tried a bunch of cars for this one including the RCZ, Subaru BRZ and Mazda Vision GT3. Ended up trying the Huracan GT3 on a 2 stop strategy and was able to win with a 5 second gap. Started on mediums and went to lap 9 before they were dead so the middle stint I switched to hards with the intent of making them last until lap 21 so I could go mediums until the end. Worked pretty well as I could keep a good pace on the hards and pass the front runners on the pit stops.
After my 7th or 8th attempt, I finally managed to win this one. I drove the Mercedes AMG GT3 2020, all assists off and on the 2x RM strategy. I absolutely love the handling of the AMG; it’s quite powerful in low revs too. Won with about 10 seconds margin to Nubilar, and only messed up one time (turn 5, about 75% into the race). Drove 1:57s and low 1:58s quite consistently).
What did the trick for me was after pitting the first time (end of lap 10) I was quite easy on first two inlaps, avoiding traffic as much as possible (like said here before, the AI is insane in this race). Around the end of lap 12, there is enough room and space to weave through traffic again with being punted of track.
Hope you guys make it too. This is by far the most difficult in-game race of the whole of GT7.
Just finishing this race after a lot of tries and many cars.. Medium tyre/2stops with the RX-VISION GT3. Good pace and 18sec ahead.. Good luck everybody

This race was the hardest for me to get gold on. Rubliar is always quick and sometimes Gallo is very fast towards the end.
What I did was use BMW M6, medium tyres and I would stay just infront of Rubliar and pit exactly the same time to defend against him.
He normally pits twice, use overtaking the other slower cars to get yourself some breathing space. It's a pain but it's doable.
It seems like the medium tires will work well with the front engine cars like this. They don't snap as hard as the mid engine cars do so thanks for sharing your experience!
I did this race in the Mazda on hard tyres. My fastest lap was a low 1.59 and I won the race by about 8 seconds on a 1 stop.

I think my game is just glitched then, I tried already 5 different cars hitting at least 1.57 and 1.58 constantly but still can’t take the 1st place. This game is a bullshit

They're quick when you're about 5+ seconds behind, then when you're right behind them they drive like shit, then you pass them and then all of a sudden they're on brand new tyres trying to dive bomb you at every opportunity. I still can't believe I won that race with the pace I had.

Just Golded this with the Aston Martin DBR9. What a beast that car is. Feels super balanced, handles beautifully and super fuel efficient. However it is pricey at 800k so you're eating into your prize money massively.

Pit lap 10 and 20 for fresh RM tyres and fuel, you won't need to fill the tank either , saves some time.
Finished 16 seconds ahead , was putting in 1:56/1:58 lap times.
I've been doing mid 1.57 at best and odd lap at 2.00... 1 stop in this car on hard ... average times at 1.58... best position I can get is 9. Makes no sense. 🤔
To anyone still struggling, after trying 20 different gr3 cars finally found it.
- Hyundai genesis 3
-tc0 (get used to it, makes the difference here)
-ASM on
-no help on countersteer
-default ABS
-fuel 1
-racing mediums (start with them and change them in every pit you make)
-lap at end of 10th (fuel 11) and at the end of lap 20 (fuel 10)
Other tips:
•get used the brakes on the long downhill
•before the downhill there's an S area with 3 turns, you can full speed them, still no penalty
Won this by 15 seconds with best 1:56.4 and slow ones/tires consumed at 1:59/2
Average 1:57/58
Got 2 penalties too

Well, I had it, made one mistake on minute 54 and lost by 13 seconds. I'm using the genesis gr3, and it definitely feels best to me so far, but just to be certain I'm not missing out on the right car, you mean the genesis gr3 not the genesis X gr3 right?

AI did a best lap on hard, the best lap of Rubilar was 1:47.468, how do they only do 1:56 for you? on easy quickest lap of rubilar is 1:48.798 and on normal 1:47.192. Did something break with 1.18 update?
Yep, I cant lap any quicker than about 1:59.9 - 2 minutes consistently around here. I've tried everything.
A tried so hard for a week with different tyres pits and cars....Just did it!. Mercedes Benz gt3 '16. Medium tyres. 2 pits at 10th (maximum fuel and fresh medium tyres) and 20th (fuel for 11.5 laps and fresh medium tyres) laps. Every lap at ~1:57,5. Manual transmission, hard difficulty, 1 point for traction control. No wheel, just dualsense. 2nd after me for 2 seconds was same Mercedes Benz. It is the fastest gt3 car on a track, so every lap you can earn at least 0.2 seconds

Apart from the first lap, all (that I could see) of my laps were under 1:59.
I didn't make any real mistakes.
I don't think I could have pushed it any further.
I pitted twice with the GR Supra Concept '18.
Filling 100% then about 75%
No matter how hard I pushed the guy in 1st kept pulling away... Even when I achieved a 1:56:9 something.
This is annoying as I like to get all my golds.
This game is so buggy, this is not the first time a mess up with AI, btw 1:56:9 is super fast lap time
No chance in hell… From lap 3 or 4, I get stuck in 3rd place, the front runners are getting farther and farther away and 4th place is getting closer and closer. I guess I'm not good enough, I just can't get under 1:59 😔
Use Mercedes AMG GT3 '20 and cut most of the turns.
Date 09/22 : Mazda VGT GT3, 2 pits (20/40mins), Race Medium, and regularity (1.56 time lap) IA down the Best lap around 25 mins left, with 1.55 but finished first with 30s before the 2dn place
I tried driving the R.S.01 and it's extremely difficult to drive. That rear end tends to slide out making me lose speed. Will try the Peugeot RCz, should be much easier
AI cars lapping at 1:58? Mine are always at 1:52, on easy or hard. Used the Porsche RSR on mediums and managed 12th. As of the latest patch this race is outright broken.
The ai are relentless like this in the normal single player gr3 mission. I reckon it’s bugged.
Finally made it with the WRX. Allways medium tyres stopping at laps 20 and 30. Map 1 but with some fuel management
I almost had it with the AMG GT3 but near the 50 minute mark I had the 2nd place car ram me off when it was attempting to overtake me. Whoole race gone
two stop strategy works with genesis gr3 (not X) and PS5 controller as of today 03AUG22. I beat it at 1 hour and 20 seconds 19 seconds ahead of p2. Tcs on 0. stc enabled. Steering sensitivity default setting. Auto transmission. No other assists enabled. Difficulty set to hard. First lap was 2:02, fastest laps were first 3 after fresh tyres with 1:56. Slowest single lap 1:59. All other laps were 1:57. Only time I had a lap more than 2:00 were out laps from pits and first lap. Medium tyres. Pit at lap 10 with 11 lap range fuel and pit at lap 20 with 10 range fuel.
I have all gold in licensed and missions... Except this one Opted for a single pit stop in the Renault... Finished 15th 🤝
I finished 30 laps and was like a minute behind, hard AI LOL this one's gonna be tough. Getting constantly taken out by the AI is probably the toughest part
youre not wrong, made it to 1st place before my 1 pit stop after I pitted the AI just decimated me & i ended up 11th.
They ai are really ridiculous on this one. I feel like you should be able to win it if you can get to the lead in the first part. You just need a lucky run where the ai have a slightly slower pace

@Unleashed Drivers I really do love your videos and are helpfull, but would you please do this race now with current updates (1.43) ? The AI is broken as hell and Yamanaka and Rubilar are doing laps you go insane, they are 45 seconds ahead and I do 1:58, 1:59 lap times. First lap everything normal, then Yamanaka is going like hell, Rubilar can be taken out of the race but Yamanaka not. The behaviour of Yamanaka in your video is nothing like in the video anymore :-((((( and changing the difficulty didn't help either
Hey mate, unfortunately I don't currently have access to GT7 because of my current wheel setup but If I get back into Gran Turismo at some point, I'll possibly look at correcting old information from these guides, but this is not guaranteed and it could be a while. I do remember that the GT7 AI were a bit odd and sometimes seemed borderline impossible to beat, I guess they never really improved it.
Both of them get 1:56 lap times and for me the Japanese guy only pitted once
I just wasted an hour of my life on a next to impossible race. And still ended up 6th (bronze lol) Because 5 people pitted once on mediums.
At one point I was P2 and about 6.5 seconds behind Yamanaka but then Rubilar in P3 sent me to the shadow realm on the first hairpin 😂
This is the most infuriating race ever, it’s harder than the Super license S imo
Best is 9th on third full attempt after back to back 16th places. No point in trying to save fuel and do a one stop, flat out two stopper. Used the Skyline Super Silhouette. About 2.5 off the fasted lap.
Lexus RCF its a beast to save fuel and tyres if that can help someone.
Go on hard and follow kokubun on map 2 or 3. Then continue when he pits. I pit at 19th lap. Take de medium for second part til the end. Take just enought fuel to finish.
Im not very good so if you re better may be you can do better strat with this car. :)

I'll try the rs01. I've tried the amg, both Peugeot, the nismo gtr, the supra, and the Subaru. The amg was my best but still couldn't even compare. Thanks for the vid.
This one is tough, it took 7 attempts for me to even complete it and get Bronze, 30 seconds off first place. I would either make a stupid mistake or get taken out by the idiotic AI 15-20 minutes in. I was able to beat the circuit experience and get gold but I just can't get a flow going in the race, most of my lap times are 2:00 or 2:01 with the occasional 1:59. I've tried various cars and that still is the best time I can maintain over a long run. I did it with the V12 Vantage, but might try again with the Porsche. That feels the most stable to me, but it might be bit slow.

really great how you have the Renault under control. Hats off. I don't stand a chance with this car. Extemes oversteer in the 2nd curve... almost out of nowhere.
I'm fastest with the Aston Martin. But in the end no more gas. With the Porsche I was the most stable on hard tires and one stop, but the Ai is always in the way.

Renault was a pain to drive, I had it a bit sideways on a few occasions in my run. The aston felt amazing honestly. If you could maybe run it a step or two leaner on the fuel map do you think it would make it to the end? I didnt have a very long run in the Porsche so I'm not too sure how it feels

I was driving the Aston Martin with the medium tires. It could be level 2 or 3. It takes so much luck because of the Ai. I'll try the Lexus first. @Léo recommended it here. ..and then one last time with the Porsche. I'm afraid that will keep me busy for a long time 😂

For those who need help, I was able to win at the hardest difficulty.
How I did it?:
- used the Renault Gr.3
- racing medium
- pit every 20 minutes
- traction control to Zero

The lap record was 1:56 at the end of the race in your video, I usually manage to do a 1:58. That would not be that bad if the IA (in my game) would not make a fricking 1:53!!!! I started the race, and the laps goes by as my position to the back of the pack....
This game is glitched, I tried it with over 10 different cars from 1985 Silhouette to modern ones, strategies, most laps under 1.59, and my best result is a sad 11. WTF.
I’ve done this race two times now and can only get 5th as best result… just did a one stop in the Porsche. Not sure what to do anymore. If I can drive like the AI and get 1:56 every time maybe it’s possible.

1 thing I can't get my head round... just done my 1st attempt in the A.M Vantage and my lap times are roughly the same maybe .5 second quicker than yours. 2 stop RM and still finished 40sec behind in 15th... WTF??? Made no mistakes and was very consistent.
I finally beat it today on update 1.37 with the 458 Italia on mediums by .203 seconds. Punchy V8 like the AMG but MR for balanced tire wear and cornering.
I don’t think this race has a one car for all win strategy since its BOP, go with the car you are fastest with especially through the S section. You can attack on this part of the track to pass and get ppl off your case and then defend everywhere else. I averaged 1:59 but did pull a 1:57.1, doesn’t matter as much atleast one AI will best your best lap
I used FM 2 whenever in 1st place, one lap before pit and always on the first lap out the pit until tires warm. FM 1 all other times. Pit at 40:00 and 20:00 taking 10.5 laps each.
Rubilar was not a threat on my run Yamanaka and Fraga got 2nd and 3rd.
I’m pretty average, I was way off the lead lapping 2:01 with the Renault, used the Porsche and managed to get that down to 1:58, RM tyres, fuel map 1, TC 1, 1 pit stop at the half way point, had to hold off a pack of 3 cars on the final 8 laps which I luckily managed to do and won by milliseconds, p.s set the difficulty to easy for this one, that seems to be the easiest on this one

play this fucking shit in update 1.31 the tire wear is significantly higher but not for the opponents and you drive 2 seconds slower than before if not even 3 seconds and the opponent drives invariably 1.56 to 1.57. I was 26 seconds ahead since the update with my 2nd acc, 40 seconds behind and therefore impossible. I used to drive with hard tires 1.57 when the tires have degraded 1.58 now I can't even manage with medium tires 1.57 and from the 10th lap the medium tires are completely red in the front, before they were only half red
Lucky me only got around to attempting this mission after that update. I've tried over ten times and best I've done is 4th. I could do a little better and get 3rd or 2nd, but 1st is impossible.

I used wrong car i used Mishubishi EVO Gr.3 car and Audi R8 LS Mans version and Chevrolet Corvette in this circuit and i used Mercedes Benz AMG GT aswell but non of them helped i hope this Renault RS wil help me a lot thanks for the tip.
You have to be really skilled to drive this Renault for 1 hour in a fast pace and not make many mistakes. This car just wants to oversteer really badly when cornering at low speeds
Facts! Although besides that it’s a really enjoyable car. I don’t know about the wheel. On a pad the tight turns are really really rough.
Finally done. With the Porsche. Always on Fuel 1 and 2 stops, 1st run with hard, (12th round box)....(Time 1:58 - 1:59)
2nd run with medium for 9 rounds, last with medium, (Time 1:57 one or 2 Laps on 1:56).
it was going well until the last 2 laps then came the BMW M6 with DRS or tailwind or something.... . realy unfair... where did that get so much power from. In the replay i can really see how the one on the straight suddenly catches up. cheek 🤔😵 It was very close. I had to block the BMW to win

Completed as of yesterday, came back here to let you guys know its not impossible on controller. Did it with the porsche, pit on lap 10 and 20, filled for 10 laps per stop. Finished with 30 second lead 👍🏻

I just don't know what's wrong with this race ... I trained on time attacks with Peugeot RCZ (PP are even a little lower) than the race itself. I set a record of 1.56.7 time. At the race itself .... I just can't reach that time ??? I tried all three difficulties, but it didn't work(I repeatedly achieved a time of 1.57.3-6I) don't think the problem is in me - there is something wrong. I'm playing with a PS4 controller!My best place is a 6th...WOW, damn you PD!

That's impossible and with the Renault RS01 with a controller, that's pretty difficult to get less than 1.59
My suggestion would be to use the Mercedes AMG GT3 it runs sub 1.59 laps on medium tires

same here… clocking times 1:57 and 1:58… became second with 24 seconds to the leader (mercedes) rubilar was 4th I think. this thing became impossible
They definitely did and very likely intentionally to troll and hate on their fanbase. I ran laps at 1:56 and never under 1:59 and lost by a minute! Ai ran slightly faster in the low 1:56 but because they are immune to tire wear they never lose tread and run every lap the same. They are also now designed to magically gain 10 seconds in the pits. I just did it and discovered this myself. Now impossible and definitely my last Gran Turismo after being my favorite franchise for 25 years.
It's doable. I run this mission just for fun/challenge. I've now won it with 9 different cars.

It was really easy for me to be honest. I did it on medium difficult, 2 pit stops, twice 80% fuel, medium tires and with f-type. 1.56-1.58 times lap. Best 1.55.900. I had 25 sec before second AI. Greetings.

on this track if top leader car is Genesis X and R8 Evo they usually super fast.

My best time is 1:58:560. I did it in RSR (TC1, manual gearbox). Its enough only for 7th place. I think its almost impossible to do it on controller (PS5). I tried almost everything - different cars, different settings (TC, assist, AT/MT)...
My absolute best lap is 2:00 I just wish it was enough for 15 th
@@derfferd9096 i try almost everything most of gt 3 cars with all different setting (mt,at,tc on off). I spend 5-6h and best i can do is 1:58. On time trial i did easy gold. My racing line is good. On controller for me its impossible.

This race is extremely broken. Tried with every single Gr.3 car I have, and no matter how hard or fast I am, I'm 3-8 seconds behind Yamanaka's Supra. In hope 1.20 fixes the AI on this shitty race, because this is terrible. I got every other Human Comedy race done easily, but this sucks. Balance of performance? Yeah right.
I'm completely stuck on this race. Practically given up. For just a casual gamer its impossible. Fastest I can get is 2 minute laps. No matter what car i use the AI cheats. I use the 2 pit stop stretegy and I Can't even get bronze on this race. Ai is way to fast, soon as i pit im a good 20 to 30 sexonds behind and they r impossible to catch. The ai constantly crash into you or spin you off track. They need to patch this race. Make it a more fair race.
it's funny how the ai completely disregards your car's existence and always goes for perfect laps, for the top 5 cars at least

Guys, if you struggle with this, try another car. I was so despair about it. I couldn’t even finish with Renault and Peugeot every TH-camr advices. But with Porsche rsr I got gold with my second attempt!

What's the set up been really needing one for this race
You can't change setup on this race, it's a BOP race (balance of performance) so each car is fixed to a specific setup. You can only change tires and I recommend hard tires because medium tires at least in the mid engine cars become hard to drive after about 5 or 6 laps
I clearly need another strat. I'm clearly not good enough to handle the Renault or the RCZ, only able to put together 1.58 or 1.59 lap times, lost by more than 30 seconds in both. Constantly losing time on the leaders every single lap. They just have so much straight line speed, the pit-straight and back-straight loses me like 1 second a lap. The AI is putting in 1.56 and even 1.55 lap times. I'm not even going to bother touching it really. Think I will just run Le Mans and buy the cars when they pop up in rotation lol. Just a waste of time for a driver like me.
two stop strategy works with genesis gr3 (not X) and PS5 controller as of today 03AUG22. I beat it at 1 hour and 20 seconds 19 seconds ahead of p2. Tcs on 0. stc enabled. Steering sensitivity default setting. Auto transmission. No other assists enabled. Difficulty set to hard. First lap was 2:02, fastest laps were first 3 after fresh tyres with 1:56. Slowest single lap 1:59. All other laps were 1:57. Only time I had a lap more than 2:00 were out laps from pits and first lap. Medium tyres. Pit at lap 10 with 11 lap range fuel and pit at lap 20 with 10 range fuel.
The R8 was a great car to drive, but I drove in FM2 and FM3 for most of it
I think the 2 stop is actually a bit easier. If ur doing 1:58xxx on hards, you can pick the car you like, put on meds and you can likely get 1:56xxx. No management required, and you would likely have the same gap (again, based on ur pace).
I was actually doing basically the same pace on mediums for some reason, if anything it was only .5 faster on my attempt. Pitting a second time would immediately throw another 20 or more seconds away which is big in this race. The tire advantage didnt seem to be big enough to counter this. Maybe on some cars its different

I do it with porsche rsr 2 stopps on medium
Suits me much better for laptimes 1:57:8 to 1:58:7
First stop on lap 10 80% of fuel and second stop round 20 same choice.. fuel map 1 (thanks to the buddy above to tell me try it with the porsche.
@@unleasheddrivers1281 fair enough! Yeah i guess its just car dependent. I used the rx-vision and went from a 1:59:xxx on hards to a high 1:57:xxx meds. Go figure!
I didn't reached this race yet but I don't like the Renault behaviour during braking; I was thinking about the Supra but a friend of mine didn't recommend it, instead he told me (as you told in the video) the M6 or the RX. Hope just to don't waste much time for this race tho
Renault doesn't work. Fuel gets me to lap 15
