- I've spent the last week driving many laps at Maggiore in Gran Turismo 7 with GR.3 cars to find which ones are the best. After a lot of effort, I've found which GR.3 cars drive the best times at Maggiore and which cars have the best fuel efficiency. Watch until the end to see which cars might suit you best.

People have no idea how much time you had to put into that. Thanks for the effort it really helps us all a lot. Big props👍🏾👍🏾
Haha yesterday I finished this mission with Audi R8 LMS but wished to see your video before! Great work mate!
With the MR engined cars that seem unstable under braking, change your downshift behavior. Instead of downshifting the moment you begin braking, wait for vehicle to really get a stable bite before starting the downshift.
Thank you for putting this together and taking so much time to research. I'm not a competitive driver and can be slow in any car, but this data is still a lot of fun to see "on paper".
Absolutely! Lotsss of driving but nice to get the results in to help out others. So many of these gr3s so itll be a bit less time consuming for the other classes
That is the most informative video I have ever seen on GT7. Kudos and keep doing the good job!
Thanks so much mate, glad you liked it
For the endurance race at this track I tried at least 50 times to get this sorted out and the Mazda RX Vision finally let me succeed, though I found the front slid on turn in until you got a lot of heat in the tires. Additionally, I got the impression that the mid engine cars were bottoming out on the turn in of the uphill section when the weight shifted to the front, though it might be something else. Great job though, it's been hard to find good up to date strategies for the endurance races and this would have been very helpful :)
Seriously thankful for these videos. I would love to see Daytona infield as that track is difficult for me with the cars I currently have.
Thanks for all the time you put into your videos, great info and tips that have helped my lap times and setups a lot! Great to hear a Kiwi doing such a great job! Keep up the good work mate 🤘🤘
I appreciate the time you spent to get us this info and opinion! Amazing!
Dude, this video made me get gold in the hulan comedy endurance race at this track. I did that race at least 20 times with a fifth place as best result. I used the aston martin dbr9 now, and got gold in the second attempt with this car. So thank you for this amazing helpfull video👍
I love the corvette. It is good on gas, is fast once you figure out the fuel mapping, and it handles well
Probably the best review on this platform. The attention to details is what separates you from other channels in my opinion. Thanks again for all this information!
Gr. 3 is definitely my favorite car category in GT Sport and GT7, i'd love to see a video like this but on Sardegna (totally not for farming reasons tho, pinky promise), loving your channel, cheers
Here are my setup adjustments from standard used for the Maggiore Circuit GT Cup GR3 Race 5 Laps
I am an old codger (72 years old). Younger players than me would almost certainly be able to
handle this race.
My main strategy was to make liberal use of Nitrous early on to get in front and to make sure I cut the kerbing on the twisty sections.

Let me know in the comments if this was useful to any of you
For beginners, I would recommend the Jaguar.. Good handling, good acceleration, to speed is enough & average fuel consumption
Super great breakdown on every car. It may be a little late to ask, but I'd love to see this for Sardegna. That race is by far my favorite way to farm.
Thanks for this vídeo! A ton of useful information! 👏
Great video mate
Really enjoyed your brief commentary about each car
Thanks
Thanks for the comment! Glad the commentary was appreciated.
Great job! Amazing. Liked & subscribed. I’d wait on the gr4 until the end of June update about to be released. That said gr4 really needs this as I feel it’s the most broken. In any case superb job
Hand controller user I find the Mazda & Merc on this track Human Comedy. my best placing is now 8th with the Mazda, more practice for me but I would love to hear from other hand control users with any advice on this event. Great analysis that must have been a lot of hard hours for you. Thanks
Sweet nice to see that the mustang I've been using since day 1 Gt Sport. Finally is up there.
Just GR8 Mate well done & thank you your making it easier for the rest of us
That's crazy, must have nerf'd my car, but I did take a week off. I killed the 1hour race with the BRZ. I beat the field by about 30 sec and barely missed another lap of punishing them which I definitely would have stretched my lead even more. I also killed it with the Castrol Supra. Gotta be driving styles. The main deciding factor is the weather and tire selection for me.
This took a long time to complete, one can definitely tell. Great job and highly helpful information. Thank you. You've got another subscriber.
Hey bro, if you feel like making a new one after the massive physics update, it'd be appreciated. Take care
Gr4 cars at spa or suzuka would be nice, great work
Thanks for your suggestion! Appreciate your comment
Best gt7 channel really helping me a lot !
Awesome work!!!! Thank you very much!
thank you for your time. great vid. I drive the Lexus and the Mercedes the most.
Thanks for all the hard work. Very helpful video.
Finally f#cking did it.
This race is like riding a bike, bloody hard until you know how and then it's "sort of" easy.
Best times are 1:56s, averaging mid 1:57s - 1:58s
Some of the A.I Drivers are doing 1:55s!!
I've tried practically every car but settled on the mazda.
You need to be able to go round here for 30 laps with no errors, practice makes perfect!
I raced my b@lls off for 4 laps to get in first, there's a few areas where the a.i is slow, and once I was in first I lowered my fuel consumption to 4 until the first pit stop and kept a good space and pace.
Refuelling is bloody slow on this race so any fuel you can save will help tremendously as you can jump ahead of quite a few cars in a pit stop!
In the end I managed to get 16 secs in front!
Keep trying
The gt500 is very forgiving lovely to drive but yeah I thought it felt kinda slow 😂
Underrated content as always. Hopefully GT7 as a whole improves from where it is right now, and soon.
Thank you! I wish for the same. I'd love to see more fixes and hopefully a more significant content release sometime soon
Me, for the endurance 1 hour race, I've used the AMG GT3. Took the lead on lap 3, and never lost it again. Did 3 stops, fastest lap was around 1.55 high, with an average on 1.57.
Amazing Video deserves 2 x its Views i miss the Mazda RX 7 Race Car of Gran Turismo 4
Did it with the Mazda RX Vision on a 2 stop strategy with medium tyres. Average 1,56 - 1,57 lap times. Best was 1,55.8
- Fuel map 1
- TCS 0
- ABS On
My main focus playing Gran Turismo 7
on my PlayStation 5 is I pretty much just playing
GR .3 the cars available are some of my favorites
I've noticed though some tracks don't allow the
Hyundai B R Z car I get it ,it's kind of like a cheating car but I Love using it Lol
this is a really awesome video
You sir are a true GT7 hero. Now if you just also cover tyre wear!! :)
PD should make different BoP for every single track layout so people can choose their favorite car knowing all cars perform exactly the same in terms of pure speed.
They've promised three types of BOPs, they delivered but now they have to develop them and I wonder with what staff?
@@KepleroGTOr just allow tuning like a real race not the bullshit they think is racing
From 1.27, the best car is the Mclaren I found. No turbo charger. Some of the others, I'm not sure it's possible. Rock hard race.
The fastest cars without bop are the BRZ at no PP limit. 800 PP limit the GTR 99 & DB9. 771 PP the Supra concept & BMW Z4.
agree with the Merc. all my cars are Mercs in this game. it is somehow just faster than anything it races.
This is great but it would be awesome if you could factor in tire wear as well
I will have to do that as it's own separate video sometime. Unfortunately that would likely triple the amount of time it takes to make these kind of videos so I'd rather make one dedicated to just tire wear at some point
Did they buff the C7.R’s fuel economy? It used to absolutely DRINK fuel and you had to alter fuel maps just to save fuel
In my spa video I was running to redline which took a lot more fuel and lost power so here I've been up shifting earlier where the optimal shift point is which is saving a lot more fuel
4:24 a 1;18.8 isn't slow, that's 40 seconds quicker than other cars!!!! 🏎 💨
Very helpful
Thanks
Your videos are amazing
Suzuka or dragon trail would be cool to see
Thank you for your suggestions :)
thanks heaps from Rimsh0t, very helpful
May I know what is your Ft-1 setting pls? I am struggling a lot from it, thx
Invaluable, thankyou so much.
Like deployed 👍
😎🎙🏎✅
Thank you too mate!
@@unleasheddrivers1281 one of the main things that I took away from your post other than what it was that you intended, was how to read the power band for shifting. It had always been a mystery to me although I knew where to look for it, I could not equate it. I think that I can now, only time will tell 🤔
Optimally you want to be using as much power as you can all the time so you should be shifting as the power begins to drop and then when you land in the next gear, you should be be at a lower point in the rev range where the engines producing as much power as it was just before you upshifted.
Finding the exact perfect shift points can be quite complicated but basically try spend as much time around the peak power as you can. Make sure you dont rev too high in cars where the power drops down a lot at the high end of the rev range. Upshift just after the peak.
I'm certainly not the best to explain this but there are a few good videos around about upshifting
@@unleasheddrivers1281 wow, thanks for taking the time to explain that, it has really helped 😀
Very nice video.
The AMG always seems popular but I really don’t like driving it - feels really heavy and has spongy brakes imo
Adding ballast helps most
Wish you'd do a video on Gr.4 or even Gr.2 cars
Wow, good job!
I wish they'd say the exact rpm of the peak torque on the ecu maps.
Yes I agree. I think approximately each step on the graph is about 500rpm.
You know you can change the camera settings for 3rd person view? You can close up the camera to the car. It feels and looks alot more detailed.
Love your videos. Would you be able to help me with the settings and the best way to bring your car to a certain PP or BHP. Trying to set few cars for my son but I just don’t have time to play around.
If I need to get to 730 PP what is the best to reduce? Turbo, Reduce Power restrict or Output Adjust. Also can I drop some PP on tires? Just need a guide.
Appreciate your help
Must have taken shit load of time that m8 . Am still struggling cornering ,just can't nail it m8
Please can you do all gt3 cars at Daytona please. Both your other videos are so useful. I can't find anywhere which gt3 is fastest around Daytona.
I used the Lamborghini at the gt cup gr3 and won at first try.
that nsx at 38th someone in my race put in a 1:56.064 lap time in it ffs lol
This list is odd, the R34 GTR GT500 is listed at 1:59 lap time. I’ve clocked multiple 1:56 laps in that car, and that’s with a controller. It’s actually a very comfortable car to use in this race.
Could you please elaborate more on the drop off after a certain rpm?
Because What I do is drive each gear to its limit just before it dies (not sure how to explain it but I think you got it)
Is that the correct way to get the fastest times? Regardless of fuel saving
So on that graph you'll generally see how the power goes up until it reaches a certain RPM and then it starts coming down again. At that point, you're not getting as much power as you did at the peak.
But remember, when you upshift, the revs drop down again so you dont necessarily want to upshift at the peak power because then the revs will drop way down. Ideally you should shift a little after the peak so when you upshift, your revs dont drop so low that you're not getting much power. In most cars that will be right at the end of the revs but in some cars the power drop is so significant that you need to upshift before you reach that point to get the best speed and laptimes.
@@unleasheddrivers1281 That’s very helpful
Thanks
Viper FTW :)
Hello. I’d like some help. Every time i start the race, with different cars, automatically,it says that the race is of medium speed,so the power of the cars is getting lower, and it is impossible to qualify. Why is this happening? What can i do?Thank’s a lot
Can't believe they haven't addressed the McLaren F1 handling issues yet
Me too it's frustrating. Other than that, it's a blast to drive
@@unleasheddrivers1281 yeah I have my own and without BoP and a little bit of tuning to remove that mid engine lift off oversteer it's absolutely amazing. They just need to address the mid engine cars in general and fix that crappy issue with the steering clearance.
Absolutely. I think 90% of the mid engine BOP setups are just not beginner friendly enough and it puts a lot of people off. Hope they work on it
Question what do I Tune for each cars top speeds ? 🤔 Thanks
Managed to win using the Porsche 911 RSR with a 2 stop strategy. First time I did 1 stop and finished 9th. Won with almost 40 second lead doing the 2 stop strategy averaging high 1:56’s low 1:57’s. Seem to encounter a lot less traffic on the 2 stop strategy. Refill fuel so it’s got 11 laps range to give a margin of safety.
I Won with corvette . For me this is the best car.
I'm a fan of the Vette too
I wish they would make a Gr3 car with the new Corvette C8 that was added in the update recently
This for the Human Comedy race? I run auto trans and cant get better than like 15th
Hi im from nz as well
I tried this race with the Corvette, and I was not quick enough. I was doing 1'57s, but a couple of the AI were quicker, and used less fuel. But then I tried the RX-Vision and was lapping in the 1'56s, and won the race easily. So I'm surprised by your conclusion that the Corvette and the RX-Vision did the same lap time.
I did this type of format in Forza before . So to give u a quick understanding of his times … they are based on his skill level . That tells me two things . His adaptability is off the charts and so is his understanding of the knowledge for it … however in driving some people may be able to be faster on certain setups . That’s the difference between driving style and knowledge . That’s why u can be faster than him in a specific car . I have a friend that I race with and he is the same way . He is so adaptable and races so many varieties of cars … yet I’m very good on only 1 type of car and on 1 style … it makes for very interesting races :)
You need to short shift the Corvette at around %75… it makes the car faster and you’ll get really good fuel efficiency
i play Gran Turismo 7 and enjoy it
but not without problems on the PP
getting the PP corrected so you are not the slows car if PP is 599,84 for 600 PP
in Gran Turismo 7 the PP LIMED amount cars you can use
from Gran Turismo 4 you could bay the car you want to race with and not get stack on using the same GT1 for all race
the PP LIMED amount cars you can use
i think it one more bug in the game that need to be fix
like more cars can be used and you are not slows car in race if PP is 599,84 for 600 PP race
as for updates the internet lock need to be removed to play the full game with out being online
as for new decals and pain racing logos and more at GT AUTO there is to options the full game on a HD drive or online for truly special logos
MR cars got ruined by the update. My go to used to be the rcz as a good all rounder and handling but the handling is terrible now
This is a cool video for gr3 cars with out a turbo, or supercharger up grade.now do one that the cars up graded. The gt 500 supra is a beast, and to me the brz is the fastest car in the game. I finish most races 2 laps ahead. To each its own though
The mercedes amg gt3 that i thank its the best
It's pronounced as rome-e-o. The Italian military used this car manufacturer way back in WW2.
im just after the best car and easiest car to get to win menu book 39 ?
Its possible to drive 1.56.4 with the r8
Next Track : Interlagos 🇧🇷
Do you have a nicr setup for the mclaren f1? U want to use it because i like the car in real life, but its very hard to drive. Do you have a maxed setup and a bop setup?
Ferrari 458 Group3 FTW
God, even in something that is listed as the fastest, I don't get within 8 seconds of the slowest time.
I have. Ever been so close at unloading my shotgun at the tv as with this F-ing mission. 15 times already and nothing better than an 11. Just 💩
SLS gt3 best car
If the WRX is so low how does it dominate the rankings? :(
I heard it was nerfed in the recent update. It really just didnt seem strong here
It doesn't though, Race C is dominated by M6 and Genesis
@@KepleroGT Last time I checked WRX had the fastest time. I like the AMG though, on my level I have great success
Any of your own tips or suggestions? feel free to comment below. Also please let me know if there are other tracks that you would like me to do these tests at.
Also I talked about a few cars with large power drops later in the rev range, there are cars with less significant drops that I didn't mention that you still shouldn't run right up to the redline. If you're not too sure then check the ECU Torque/Power graph that I showed in this video for your car to see where abouts you should be upshifting.
Can you please do a video like this for the one hour alcace race?!
Alsace, the one with pre 80s cars right? This one would take me a long time to make. I would need to buy all pre 80s cars and most of them are only found in used/legendary car dealerships so it will be a while before I am able to complete that video but I'll see if I can get the cars for it. I'd like to eventually make similar videos for different categories of cars too such as fastest VGT, fastest Kei car, fastest group c car etc
@@unleasheddrivers1281 I understand, but maybe you can try a few cars that are easy to buy. I think this race is even more difficult then the Maggiore race.
I can definitely work on it. I want to have another look at the human comedy races again at some point
Why can't i use whatever car i please to win a race? If the pp is there, should mean every car in that race is equal in terms of overall performance right?
So why the fuck am i forced to use a specific car that outperforms the others and basically cheat?
Nismo…13 or 18?
Comprei uns 10 e não prestaram
Any GT3 leagues you would recommend for GT7? I have been looking for days but can’t find any that accepts new people
My friends and I are holding one at the moment. Message if interested.

I tried every car but failed no matter what but does anyone have advice for controller players other than sensitivity?
Play is last night It last ai are so bad by taken you out in first corner while they goin wide and ai are now got faster 1:55🤔
IDK why people are comfortable mixing era and series... like 90s GT500 cars and VGT cars. Doesn't GT7 offer enough GT and VGT cars to have their own series? Is it because PD and Kaz or newbies to the game don't care much for re-enacting historic events?
If you haven't figured it out by now, all of the cars end up just about THE SAME. Sorry but it only matters what style car you like. Very few cars are better in the entire game. I tested all the cars and if you want you can watch my videos and judge for yourself.
So, you've done a really nice spreadsheet, but fail to make it available?
I can try to that in a future video where I explain how to use it. It's slightly more manual than I'd like it to be
