Great video! Short and direct. Only problem I had with it is the assembly behind the control panel slipped after unscrewing it causing a realignment. That is because I stood it on end as you show. It would be better just to pull it apart sitting on the edge of a bench. No real problem, it took me about 5 min. to correct it. Also I used WD40 and sprayed down and out the screen (filter), then the same with a nasal spray bottle of rubbing alcohol; very efficient. Anyway, my generator is running like a champ now! Thanks!
They have been building this generator a lot of years and there many models with slightly different disassembly procedures , but basically , you remove the screws that hold the metal front panel , with receptacle and meters etc, then remove the plastic piece it mounts to, you will see why as you go. then you can remove the fuel line clamp to tank pull off the hose , and that is where you will find the in tank fuel filter, I tried cleaning it several times and was not satisfied that it would do the job, I left it out and reassembled, you may add an in line filter later. I keep my fuel fresh , non ethanol, treated for storage, and drain the bowl by means of the bowl fuel drain . no plans to put in line filter in.
i wonder if this is why my 2200 with only 100 hours on it is running pretty bad now. i guess i’ll have to check it out and clean this filter more frequently if that’s the case.
It was for me with my brand new 2200I. Water and some crud gets into the filter and before long she's surging and hunting before dying. Trying to restart results in less and less runtime until it won't start at all.. im about to drain fuel and get the filter out and cleaned for the second time in 3 days. Guess she had more crud and water than I thought in the tank. Using a clear glass coffee pot this time to inventory the fuel as it's drained so contamination doesn't sneak back into the tank. Also.... Enjoying a great knobber from my wife while wrenching, makes chores seem to whiz by. She's great at holding tools for me look.
Couldn’t you read? He is showing how to put it back together, which is exact reverse of taking it apart. Can you even change a spark plug? Dude how do you even function? Go listen to how many have complicated the hell out of this simple job by playing Boob tube rock star.
@@RickLambert963 I probably was in the wrong to be critical of anyone trying to help. I'm guessing I needed one bit of info here that is buried in the video. TH-cam is for learning and sometimes I get frustrated digging for wisdom from random sources.

David Harrison - That was very nice of you to say. I’m working on mine now, I’ve got the case open just as he said (in reverse) had to take a break as I’m working in the sun. I don’t know brother, I get frustrated also with the digging for proper information. The human experience, at least it’s not boring.😂🤣😝👍👌🖖

this is the most common issue with this gen and most others.
The most common problem with my two generators has been the carburetor.
You must have replaced the very short green (ground) wire with a much longer green wire & not said anything about it.
Showing this job backwards makes what little information you even gave here that much more useless. Just wasted my time @ 2x speed
