Well if it’s any insurance, the phrase Ara Ara does not mean anything sexual, it just is an expression like well well or my mind or oh my, which can be used in a flirtatious manner, but the phrase itself is not.
Example on how it could be used in a flirtatious manner:

Totally agree. I think other versions of her fail to capture both aspects of the character.

Watching the movie as a kid and even now, she totally pulled off the compassionate but stern Princess Leia vibe. When she and Hot Rod had that exchange, I could hear her saying, "Someone has to save our skins."

The Prime iteration is my personal favorite. She’s like a ninja with her speed and blades. Plus her cold on the outside, warm on the inside demeanor made for some really good interactions. It’s almost like they combined the motherly and witty G1 Arcee with the brutal and vengeful IDW Arcee. (Without the bad writing)

Thanks. I prefer the G1 overall because she's the best balance of all other iterations. Prime is my second because she's awesome, but her blue color scheme and attitude remind me of Chromia and not Arcee. I do not like the IDW comics character at ALL.

It still amazes me that someone had to fight to get female Autobots in Transformers but GoBots had female robot characters right out the gate, lol.

@@SJHFoto That's an in-story thing that has nothing to do with why there are females, not a writing decision. They didn't have to make female GoBots for a male focused toy line. Obviously Transformers didn't need to have them be cyborgs in order to do it either, they just had to create female programmed robots. The only reason they didn't do it is because they thought their audiences would go "Ewww! Girls! Keep their cooties away from me!" Writers for the show and comic books certainly didn't agree with that notion and wanted female robots. I often wonder how Hasbro allowed as many females into GI Joe back in the 80's, lol.

I always felt it was a shame that we never saw Arcee interacting with Elita-1 or the other female Autobots. Obviously she was introduced to fans after Season 2, but it would have been nice to see her as a minor character in the background or even have a single line, considering the movie was in development before the Season 2 episode was animated.
Arcee is so slept on lately. Would love to see her return centrefold with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as faces for the franchise.

Of course, it was most likely that the episode came out before the G.I. Joe movie, so writer couldn’t have known about CC being a citizen of the ancient civilization of Cobra-La and being turned into a snake as punishment for his failures

Arcee is one of my favorites. The Prime version is definitely the best! She had such great writing.
I like Prime Arcee. I really do. But to me she fits the name Chromia better. Old school G1 is my personal fav.

Prime Arcee is the best arcee incarnation so far. She is by far one of the best written Arcee incarnations if not, the best written. IDW first version of her was a close second though but her origin kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

G1 movie Arcee is my favorite character too. I was 6 when I saw the movie on the big screen and became attached to her compassionate personality.
How could anyone NOT like Arcee? Sure, Chromia, Elita 1, and Windblade showed up afterwards, but you know what, Arcee will always be the first 👍👍

Technically speaking Arcee... Came first as she was specifically made to be the female character added to the movie. Her approval prior to the film's release allowed Elita 1 and her team. Chronologically speaking, Beta is first in the cartoon.

Well that's if Nightbird became a Transformer. She's just a female robot built by a human with some enhancements by Decepticons in the episode. She could become a fully sentient Transformer if she was brought to Vector Sigma.
My favorite version of Arcee is the large gun wielding, selfie taking, adventurous party animal from Cyberverse. Great video.

Who else always saw Arcee as Daniels mother figure I mean let's face it she protects him she helped him walk for the first time ( in the exo suit ) and shes protective of him and would risk to do anything for him she even chose Daniel to be her headmaster cause she wanted to stay with her "son"
It's good to find more about a character who I didn't know much about other than that she was a fierce warrior
If you get to know more about the G1 bot, you'd see a totally different side. That caring and compassionate, yet feirce warrior is the balance that no other Arcee seems to have.

I had no issue with Arcee, but Chromia was my favourite femme. It took a while for the movie to be released in New Zealand in such a format that I could manage to see it, so for the longest time, I only had the season 2 episode to go by. And as a girl it was kinda big deal that they had femmes now. When you're a little kid you really don't care about the logic of gender in alien robots.

I liked how you added cobra commander in this. I loved that part when old snake said cobra at the end of that episode. I can't wait to get the new earth rise arcee figure. I'm been planning on making photo recreating the scene cybertron war from the bumblebee movie. And if I can get the others too. I also agree with you, the g1 cartoon version of Arcee and her personality.
My personal favorite Arcee is by Doujinshi artist and Illustrator Ban; who showed you can make a very alluring design from a classic icon!

Yeah, their Energon comic was actually pretty good, unlike the mess of the show.
It was done a lot better than the garbage IDW put out.
@@darthpaul99 Dreamwave comics have their own problems. Switch from Armada to Energon felt to quick for my tastes. I wanted more of independent minicons.
I haven't had that happen with any comic series I've read, however there were two anime shows I watched that ended abruptly because the creator/writer died I was disappointed that we never got an actual ending to them, so I can imagine how it is with a comic series.

I loved "Only Human" and what I loved about the end of the episode was, Cobra Commander's scene.
I so wanted a legit crossover in the cartoon and a better one than what happened in the comics. At least the G2 lead in was good.

Arcee is one of my favorite characters
I never realized that arcee was first introduced in the movie! she's such an iconic character that I just assumed she had been there since the beginning
Arcee's role in G1 Season 3 and TF Prime became similar to G1 Bumblebee's.
Her best iterations arguably were a main friend of a human child charcter who had the caring and compassion you alluded to..It worked well with both the kindest(G1) and toughest(TFP) versions of Arcee.
TF Prime having each human paired closely with certain Autobots went all in on the concept and reflected the importance of the partnership. It was Nebulon/ Human - Transformer Headmaster like relationships between Raphael-Bumblebee, Miko-Bulkhead and Jack- Arcee minus transforming exosuits..
The iterations that went with human robot best friends just felt more like staying true to the old G1 Spike-Bumblebee days .

Old Snake is Cobra Commander sounds hilarious if you're a metal gear fan. I always liked Arcee, she's cool.
So when people insist that Arcee wasn't the first female Transformer they're wrong. She might not have appeared first, but her creation preceeded and opened the door for the existence of the season 2 fembots.
My favorite version of Arcee in the Transformers Franchise has to be G1.

So excited to get the Earthrise Arcee! I really hope we eventually see a re-release of her Prime incarnation since that’s my favorite version of her.
One thing that gets me is why people have a problem with fembots looking feminine, at least after some proper character development is established. I understand they wouldn't want her to look curvy just for the sake of looking curvy, but prime arcee alone has proven her metal almost every time i see her on screen.

Because they end up being overly humanized and too sexualize. Why don’t most male transformers don’t look too human or too sexy. I don’t mind they have some curves. Most male transformers don’t look like males. They only look like males compare to overly sexualized females.
@@luvblueybingoheeler3150 and that's why i say about the character development. I agree 100% with the fact that they're generally over sexualized but they do often have other characteristics than something for the fans to swoon over.
I do not get it either (resp. not entirely). In fact, I find that the Transformers femmes in IDW look more and more masculine (at least in my opinion). Which I personally find very sad. I am also a female Transformers fan (for many years now) and find feminine or even sexy looking femmes very appealing. And why not ?! As long as they have an interesting personality/character/story, there's nothing wrong with that.
Thanks. I agree about how female Transformers have been drawn in comics lately really takes away their features. Arcee's softer face is so SQUARE and her frame so boxy in the new IDW. It just doesn't look right for the character. As for other Transformers, I would disagree about males not looking like males. Take a look at G1 Optimus Prime. The windows are clearly shaped like pecs and the grill from the truck is his abs. VERY super hero like.
@@RodimusPrimal As I said, I think the tendency to draw female Transformers more and more masculine these days is a real pity. Even the G1 Tf girls were more feminine than today's IDW Tf girls.
As for the male Transformers...I agree as well. Most male transformers look indeed VERY masculine. ...and I would be lying if I said that I don't like it. ;)
I'm honestly torn between Prime's and G1's Arcee. They were both so good.
They're both great characters. The G1 version is the real Arcee, as she is not just a great fighter, but radiates warmth and compassion. The Prime one I feel is a different character. She's not Arcee to me (too cold and too much a tomboy to be her), but still a fantastic character in her own right.

TF: PRIME Arcee is a close second, and her rivalry with Airachnid was the stuff of legend!
The IDW version, however - though I love and respect Simon Furman - was the worst---psychopathic transgen Arcee was revolting. Still, I'm thankful for his U.K. comic representation of her, giving her much-needed love. And I'll always wish that Dreamwave hadn't gone under because I was aching to see where they would have gone with Arcee and the other fembots.

My favorite version of Arcee is the one from Prime.
I could see Arcee being Optimus Prime's daughter. She looks like Elita and is a sharpshooter like Optimus.

Ah, Arcee. A very popular character that rarely gets handled well.
I loved the Sunbow and Marvel G1 versions. Even to this day, I feel this is the best version of Arcee. And we should thank Ron Friedman for fighting for her inclusion in the movie. Although I felt most of the introduced characters were one-dimensional in the movie, the one without a toy actually had the most depth. I just love how friendly, kind and relatable she was. It's just whack that they put her original relationship with Hot Rod/Rodimus aside and had her hang out with Springer (again, I always felt Springer was a lame character). I feel the Rodimus/Arcee relationship is a lot more interesting and compelling (especially in the Marvel UK comics), whereas whenever she was with Springer, I was more focused on how Arcee had the better jokes than the lame-o Triple Changer.
Space Pirates was always one of my favorite stories in the UK series, and the relationship between Roddy and Arcee was just perfectly handled in that.
Headmasters was the first major downgrade in the show. She is just bland and didn't do anything at all. Extremely forgettable.
I liked Dreamwave Arcee at first, but I really wasn't thrilled when she started hanging out with Springer.
Energon Arcee was kinda okay, but a bit forgettable.
TFA Arcee was a waste of a very good Susan Blu. She just does nothing other than be a glorified plot device.
Movie Arcee was, once again, forgettable.
IDW Arcee was the first of two Arcees that I absolutely hated. I just really disliked how she was handled in that one and it really left a bitter taste in my mouth.
The TFP version... seriously, I hate her. I just felt her PTSD was handled pretty badly and her constant whining just made me dislike her a whole lot. I always found her insufferable and her emotional moments really felt incredibly tacked on and flat. I could go on talking about how much I hate this version, but I'll leave it at that.
Cyberverse Arcee was fine... but I really felt she should have been Nautica instead. The whole partying attitude and youthful excitement really reminds me more of Nautica than Arcee. But even then, I like her and she is a close second to the G1 version, which is sad because it is the only version since the Sunbow and Marvel G1 ones that I've liked.
i agree completely. g1 arcee is my favorite version of the character as well and she was certainly a big step forward for the franchise.however, there is still one thing i find disappointing. most of the female characters we recognize today, such as arcee, chromia, firestar, moonracer, elita one and cybertron's override to name a few, are all autuobots. aside from various versions of blackarachnia and cybertron's thunderblast, there are almost no original female decepticon characters. considering that there are numerous examples of popular and iconic female villains throughout comics, film and television this is a concept that i personally would love to see more of in transformers and i think should be explored further in the franchise. but, "what do you think?"

G1 is my favorite too. I love how many of her are out this year.
Definitely excited for the Arcee Masterpiece, and hoping one day for a complete Masterpiece lineup of the "new generation" G1 characters (Springer, Blur, Kup, etc.) as the 1986 movie was the one that introduced me to the Transformers all those years ago.

I love Arcee! I wanted her ( or Hound) to win the power of the primes fan vote. I’m very curious what they would have done with her as a prime. I can only hope that some concept art exists and gets released some day
