yeah the fact she has PTSD over tailgates death and Cliffjumper and her being "something more" was tragic. that is why TFP is consider by many myself included to be the best transformers series because it gave everyone a character arc.
I actually really LOVE the way TF Prime Arcee looks. She also has an interesting and tragic backstory compaired to the other iderations of Arcee. She is first, School teacher Arcee from ANIMATED is third, and Adventurous Arcee from Cyberverse is fourth. She has had so many different personalities from the various continuities, and I enjoy them all :D I also noticed how G1 Arcee is more of a mother to Daniel than his actual mother, Carly XD
Thats what I always liked about Arcee; She's like a Sweet Aunt type figure, but can also suplex a Con twice her size. I'll be honest, never liked IDW1 Arcee just cause of how viscous and killer she was. (But, through retcons & growth & such, I'll admit...she does get better. Still ain't my favorite interpretation of the character, sadly.)

Prime Arcee was my favorite version as a kid for just being the coolest, between her awesome design and fighting style. Fun fact, her design is actually inspired by the character Priss Asagiri from the 1987-91 anime series Bubblegum Crisis, with her colors being the same as Priss’s armor and her motorcycle alt mode being inspired by how Priss loved motorcycles and was always driving one. Learning that only made me love that version of Arcee more.
Another fun fact to add to this, the reason she is pink, and this has carried on throughout almost every Transformers series, is because she decided to make her body paint the same color as energon. As in the energon blood in a Cybertronian. This badass decided to paint herself the color of the blood of her enemies. This carries over to TFP too, since she’s blue. While I see why they kept her in the usual G1 look for ROTB, I think it would’ve been fun to see her green because of the energon in that movie.
8:57 Actually, her colors are reversed in the Prime Series. She's in a sense blue with pink highlights. Arcee talked to Bee in season 3 about his colors. She said if she had to reverse her colors, it'd be pink.
Hasbro actually released a pink and white Transformers Prime Arcee as part of a New York Comic Con exclusive 2 pack with Bumblebee repainted as a Yellow Cab Taxi. It came out between 2010 and 2013. I don’t remember the exact year.
Fun Fact: Arcee did appear in the campaign for War for Cybertron, during the prison break sequence for the Autobot Campaign you can see here helping other fellow bots to the prison ships to escape Kaon!
i think the Blue makes Arcee more unique having her be pink kinda just comes from the outdated idea that she's female. "oh the first female transformer to be in a prominent role let's make her pink".
TFP was the show that got me into Transformers, so Prime Arcee has a special place in my heart. On a side note, I had no idea Chromia and Elita were in the Bayverse movies! This whole time, I just thought Arcee could like split herself into three or something.
Transformers Prime Arcee is my personal favorite. She just has the cool factor with everything. Her design, her voice, her action and skill, she's a straight up badass in TFP. Just straight up fucking cool
Prime Arcee is my favorite Arcee design out of all of them! I didn’t like it to begin with when I first saw promo art of it before the show aired, but it did grow on me. Honorable mentions would be WFC (2010), Cyberverse, EarthSpark, Bumblebee movie, 2007 movie concept, & Animated. Looking forward to see Arcee in RotB! Update after watching RotB: RotB Arcee is a close second to Prime Arcee in terms of design! I’m a sucker for it since red is my favorite color and I love that the wheels from her motorcycle mode are on the back of her shoulders. Ducati being visible on her right leg is also a neat touch and I also love that she is shorter than the other Autobots just like Arcee was the shortest Autobot in Prime.
I have a very genuine appreciation for the Chinese MMO design. I think it's the superior "sexy" Arcee compared to the likes of Nicee or the FlameToys kit, or the half-assed jank that Takara tried to pull off with the MP. There's still a strong action girl charm to it rather than just the robussy schtick.
9:45 To be fair, that's a case with almost all characters. Even in this clip you used, we can see that Bee's Robot Form is much bigger than his Car Form. Out of the Autobots - Optimus, Wheeljack, and Ratchet are really the only ones who actually fit their size.
My favorite design for her is still Transformers Prime. I also like G1 finalized animation model, G1 human, Japanese synthetic human form, Animated, Universe MMO, Legends card art, Online MMO, Hasbro's Synergy Zine, Terminator vs Transformers, War for Cybertron trilogy, Cyberverse, Earthspark muscle car mode only, and Rise of the Beasts.
- I find Floro Dery's concept art to be adorable. Those colors with the proper line art would look cruddy, but Dery's model reminds me of characters from the game Katamari so it gets brownie points from me - Thank you for appreciating Animated's version. My favorite design by quite a bit - The EarthSpark robo-mode isn't great, but I was overjoyed to see that muscle car. As a child, my brother and I shared this car book with a page for a pink Cadillac. That was Arcee to us - "due to the writers not being able to explain female transformers, [women were] cut out" Now where have we heard that before... - Never really been a fan of Prime's Arcee. whoops
I actually own a pink and white colored Transformers Prime Arcee figure. It was a New York Comic Con exclusive 2 pack with Transformers Prime Bumblebee repainted as a Yellow Cab Taxi. So if you can’t imagine how she would look like in G1 colors then just take a look at the 2 pack of Arcee and Bumblebee from the 2011 or 2012 New York Comic Con. I can’t remember what year it came out in but it was sometime between 2010 and 2013.

I grew up with Prime Arcee, and jees, My queen! The older I get, the more i love her. She's a REAL strong female, not stereotypical (annoying arrogant bully) 😒 Arcee is competent, serious, smart, skilled fighter and has interesting and tragic story (Cliffjumper nooo! I'm so sorry for her loss). And also, inside she's the sweetest and most caring person🥺 (my blueberry roll!) I just love her, she's so cool!
I genuinely punched the air in excitement slightly when Shan's version came up, of all his designs this one is probably my favourite and has remained pretty much perfect and unchanged even through the extensive redesigns he's been rolling out as of late, such good stuff and he's proebably drawn her more than most so he clearly feels stronly about said design
You know, I heard that Michael Bay demanded that mass displacement not occur between transformations, so the Transformers' alternate modes were redesigned based on how big Bay wanted them to be.
I'm glad there's someone who actually likes the early live action movie design for Arcee. I never keep the back kibble on Legacy Arcee. It isn't perfect but it's a fun toy IMO (even though I struggle a bit transforming it when I haven't transformed it in awhile) OG Arcee, TFP Arcee, and ROTB Arcee are my favorites. Bumblebee Arcee was good to but that one needed more screentime. Synergy deserves an honorable mention to. If I had to choose one, it would be TFP due to someone pointing out that she was inspired by Priss from Bubblegum Crisis.

The transformers war for cybertron arcee does appear in the game. But you have to spot her. It’s during the mission where Optimus, bumblebee, and sideswipe. Let themselves get captured. You see her escorting the fellow autobot prisoners
One of the voice lines by Arcee from the War for Cybertron game is “That’s what you get for looking at me funny!” It might be me thinking this but I think she was breaking the 4th wall, telling us to stop looking at her………posterior.
War for Cybertron was a Bait and Switch since It was marketed as filling in the Gaps of the G1 show. Before the leave, Between Season Two and Three and After the Headmasters/Targetmasters.
The sexy arcee is good too. Just because ya don't like it doesn't mean that it's bad. And don't judge pepole for it either, ya wouldn't want us to judge your internet history after all.
Arcee in Prime will always be my favorite incarnation. Pink is such a tacky color for a car unless it’s being driven by Barbie. her blue era was definitely the goat.

Prime Arcee was a great character and great design, but I agree that the mass shifting really bothered me for some reason. It just feels lazy, but I guess there was no other way around it if they wanted her to be a motorcycle.
I like the rise of the beasts design of arcee, because her design is so good and too see how she can fit in wheel jack’s vehicle mode in the scene from the movie. And her look it way different to the Transformers Prime arcee.
Honestly, I feel like problems arise when the design is overly voluptuous or overly sexualized. Personally I think the Prime and IDW designs are the best, they're feminine without once again being to sexualized
At the end of this, we need more Transformers with battle masks. It is very sad Arcee got such a cool concept design only to get bastardized for Bayverse. I also love how the Bumblebee design fuses G1 with the motorcycle designs.
Arcee was in a Star Trek the Animated Series crossover comic and majority of the crossover her backside was drawn backwards and it really pissed me off that no one noticed it.
My favourite is I think one of the comic versions, or it might simply be an illustration in comic book style. She looks more or less like her G1 version but is far more Amazonian and buff. I love her. The WFC version is also really good but I kind of had eyes for Slipstream in that game so I never even noticed Arcee. Pity you can't even play the multiplayer anymore. Game devs, we don't expect you to host multiplayer matching in perpetuity (servers cost money) but if you close your match making servers, open up your damn game and let others do it so we don't suddenly have core parts of the game we paid for go missing.
I for one find the Titans return Arcee to be nice, but I guess there are those out there with different tastes. Also, the first Arcee Toy I got was from Energon, second from the Movie, and last was Prime (Got that one at a fan expo with Cohrada)
As much as I've always loved tfp Arcee, she's always been a bit of a question mark for me. I've been considering an idea for a story which explains it. A new Autobot arrives on earth and when the team greets them, out steps a version of Arcee based on FoC. She's warm and friendly but absolutely formidable. Our Arcee calls HER Arcee, which is immediately noticed by Jack, and they seem to know each other. As we learn more about this version we learn she was thought dead and stranded in deep space before returning to Cybertron to discover it dead. Then we learn that our Arcee was actually Chromia, one of Arcee's best lieutenants. After Arcee's disappearance, Chromia fudged IDs to take her name with Cliffjumper's help, because she was not high ranking enough to justify being on the Ark with the surviving Autobots. Jack and Arcee have their drama about whether this means she lied to him or not and that can build on their characters. And finally the big reveal is that classic Arcee has earned herself an upgrade, and her new name is Arcadia Prime. And she tells Arcee that she is welcome to keep the name and she's proud of her. I think that could explain why she's different, without villainizing her, justifying the name and giving it pathos as something passed down rather than stolen, as well as creating a new Prime to work with. But that's just me.
I think the final RotB Arcee design is amazing, but the control arts face is creepy as hell It's like they took the smooth face from Bumblebee and put skin over it
Arcee in Transformers Prime aint even Arcee actually, it's Chormia. Blue, tough personality and Sass. It actually doesn't make sense why they didn't just make it her. And Arcee aint actually first female Transformer
I do like how we finally settled on Arcee's characterisation after all the years of her being "the girl". She's the warrior that struggles with fighting for justice vs fighting for vengeance or just fighting. Alita-1 is the more traditionally feminine one.
I couldn't agree more about Michael Bay. Though I would reward him only for the visual effects, he lacks characterization when is comes to female Transformers and he lacks consistency in storylines.
If you included fanart, should have mentioned some of the more popular 3rd party figures as well, they're basically 3d fanarts. That Nicee figure is something else.
I have both TFP first edition and robots in disguise arcee, and tbh I still prefer FE version rather than RID version, the backpack design of RID arcee is bad for me, but at least RID got her a cannon. It’s a shame that both versions of arcee didn’t have the correct scale or sets of her weapons, the dual arm blades on FE arcee are too big, and the RID only had one arm blade that is slightly smaller than the FE version, and a cannon that was obviously too big compared to the cartoon, and it’s just a huge chunk of uncolored black plastic

I never thought of her that way when I was younger. Maybe it was because of her metal robot form. I did like Megan Fox in bayformers, though.

In defense of Earth Wars designs, I think they tend to be pretty much based on the proportions of the figures they're based on

Arcee in Prime will always be my favorite incarnation. Pink is such a tacky color for a car unless it’s being driven by Barbie. her blue era was definitely the goat.
My favourite versions of Arcee are G1, Animated, Prime, the Siege trilogy, Cyberverse, the Bumblebee movie, and ROTB.
You didn't mention Arcee from the Japanese Takara Transformers Legends Comic/Manga. It's a shame they never got any kind of English translation/release.

Prime Arcee was a great character and great design, but I agree that the mass shifting really bothered me for some reason. It just feels lazy, but I guess there was no other way around it if they wanted her to be a motorcycle.
I like the rise of the beasts design of arcee, because her design is so good and too see how she can fit in wheel jack’s vehicle mode in the scene from the movie. And her look it way different to the Transformers Prime arcee.
Honestly, I feel like problems arise when the design is overly voluptuous or overly sexualized. Personally I think the Prime and IDW designs are the best, they're feminine without once again being to sexualized

At the end of this, we need more Transformers with battle masks. It is very sad Arcee got such a cool concept design only to get bastardized for Bayverse. I also love how the Bumblebee design fuses G1 with the motorcycle designs.
Arcee was in a Star Trek the Animated Series crossover comic and majority of the crossover her backside was drawn backwards and it really pissed me off that no one noticed it.

My favourite is I think one of the comic versions, or it might simply be an illustration in comic book style. She looks more or less like her G1 version but is far more Amazonian and buff. I love her.
The WFC version is also really good but I kind of had eyes for Slipstream in that game so I never even noticed Arcee. Pity you can't even play the multiplayer anymore.
Game devs, we don't expect you to host multiplayer matching in perpetuity (servers cost money) but if you close your match making servers, open up your damn game and let others do it so we don't suddenly have core parts of the game we paid for go missing.
I also think Transformers ROTB will lead up to the 2007 movie since this new movie takes place in 1994, just my opinion

As much as I've always loved tfp Arcee, she's always been a bit of a question mark for me. I've been considering an idea for a story which explains it. A new Autobot arrives on earth and when the team greets them, out steps a version of Arcee based on FoC. She's warm and friendly but absolutely formidable. Our Arcee calls HER Arcee, which is immediately noticed by Jack, and they seem to know each other. As we learn more about this version we learn she was thought dead and stranded in deep space before returning to Cybertron to discover it dead. Then we learn that our Arcee was actually Chromia, one of Arcee's best lieutenants. After Arcee's disappearance, Chromia fudged IDs to take her name with Cliffjumper's help, because she was not high ranking enough to justify being on the Ark with the surviving Autobots. Jack and Arcee have their drama about whether this means she lied to him or not and that can build on their characters. And finally the big reveal is that classic Arcee has earned herself an upgrade, and her new name is Arcadia Prime. And she tells Arcee that she is welcome to keep the name and she's proud of her. I think that could explain why she's different, without villainizing her, justifying the name and giving it pathos as something passed down rather than stolen, as well as creating a new Prime to work with. But that's just me.

I do like how we finally settled on Arcee's characterisation after all the years of her being "the girl". She's the warrior that struggles with fighting for justice vs fighting for vengeance or just fighting. Alita-1 is the more traditionally feminine one.

I couldn't agree more about Michael Bay. Though I would reward him only for the visual effects, he lacks characterization when is comes to female Transformers and he lacks consistency in storylines.

I have both TFP first edition and robots in disguise arcee, and tbh I still prefer FE version rather than RID version, the backpack design of RID arcee is bad for me, but at least RID got her a cannon.
It’s a shame that both versions of arcee didn’t have the correct scale or sets of her weapons, the dual arm blades on FE arcee are too big, and the RID only had one arm blade that is slightly smaller than the FE version, and a cannon that was obviously too big compared to the cartoon, and it’s just a huge chunk of uncolored black plastic
