    Prayers to Brayden’s family and also Tim in your continued fight !!
    The thing I’m super excited about next Kings season is to watch;
    QB, Turcotte, Thomas and Clarke. I wish Kings would turn the keys over more towards our youth. They have obviously with QB and that’s shown you can learn on the fly in the NHL. There is no reason to think older players like Thomas and Turcotte can’t hold their own now as full time NHL players. I am still of the opinion the Kings are not close at all to competing seriously for a cup. Winning one playoff game is all you really need as evidence to that.

    Seeing the oilers and the other teams in the playoffs make it this far , gives me the impression that the kings have a lot of work to do

    On Byfield. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes Captain by 25 but there is an outside chance he could follow in Dustin Browns footsteps and become one of the youngest Captain's in Kings history...
    Imo i think Kempe should be the next Captain when Kopi retires and QB should wear an A at some point. Maybe once DD's contract is up.

    I wouldn't mind if the Kings lost to the Oilers for the third time in a row if ALL of their games were of a competitive nature but two of their five games were not. It's frustrating losing a game like Game 4 where they dominated but it happens, just like the Stars dominated the Oilers in their Game 6 but lost it as well, it happens.
    However, for a team that is supposedly as defensively stout as so many Kings fans like to bring up due to their regular season stats on this front giving up 7 goals in Game 1 and 6 goals in Game 3 and a team leader in Doughty stating before the playoffs "that they know they can't take any games off this time around" only for them to do exactly that not once but TWICE even when we seen them finally bring pressure for all 60 minutes in Game 4 is what frustrates me the most.
    This team and its team leaders and coaching just can't seem to understand they need to find that next gear come Game 1 playoff time, not Game 4.
    Yet Blake wants to spout off they've made progress.
    No Blake, they haven't!

    Oilers making the finals doesn't excuse the kings shortcomings. It's a lazy excuse to justify disappointing season. By the way, if you followed the league during the season, Panthers were the most complete team in the nhl. I see Florida winning in 4 or 5 games.

      I'm hoping so as well but if the Oilers can again win both of the Special Teams battles like they have all three of their earlier rounds, that may be enough for them to lift The Cup.

    LA kings FAN all the way but perhaps we should root for other Pacific teams... In the same way college football teams root for their conference (SEC, BIG 10)..... If EDMONTON wins the cup that'll be TWO PACIFIC conference champions in a row. That's kinda cool

    The loss still stings, but their continued dominance on special teams makes me feel a lot differently about the series loss.

    QB started cooling off when Hiller decided to go 11/7 and getting him in the double shift rotation with the 4th line. That was stupid and we better not see it next season. Oh and got demoted from PP1 for Arvidsson. Another dumb move in retrospect.

    Mentioned this to some friends but it bares repeating here.
    Kings have improved but in the playoffs the last 3 seasons...
    Kings lost in game 7
    Kings lost in game 6
    Kings lost in game 5
    Edmonton also improved and in the last 3 seasons....
    Lost out in 2nd round
    Lost out in 3rd round
    Currently in the Stanley Cup Finals

    • @mbuckley3828
      @mbuckley3828 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oilers actually lost in the 3rd round (Conference Finals) two seasons ago and last season in the 2nd round so theoretically they took a step back last season even if both times they lost to the eventual Cup winners.

    We lost, but we really lost. I don't think we would have advanced against the Stars or Canucks. We weren't competitive. PLD was his usual "slug" and our best players weren't our best players. Blake hiring the 'failed' Ducks power play guy makes MY HEAD HURT!!

  • @dillonburroughs4861

    The Oilers obliterated us. Rob and Luc saying we are right there means either A) they are in denial B) they aren’t very smart hockey people or C) they think we Kings fans are dumb and can be reassured by the lie. All 3 options will end with the same result - Kings will get stuck in the middle for the next decade.

    Not even close because we were close 3 seasons ago but they've gotten better and we haven't. Blake continues to ice a team built for 2018 hockey. The league is back to bigger and he's still drafting "character" players.

    The sooner the Oilers win the Cup, the closer it brings us to McDavid retiring. It's simple as that. He may stay around for years, and, if so, I doubt the Kings will ever surpass them. I like the team we've got-well, all but one-but these guys got no heart. Talk to Daryl Evans...Jim Fox...and those guys from "the Miracle on Manchester". They weren't the better team. In fact, that next game, the Oilers beat them-I was there. What they did was saw the snickering, arrogant Edmonton pigs making faces/outright laughing at them while leading 5 to 0. It was pride and playing their hearts out and passionately wanting that victory that drove that Kings' team. If you don't believe me, check out how they did in the next series-like always/every other year. I do not know how a coach is supposed to teach his players to play as a team...with heart & soul...and as one unit? p.s. QB really should be given a cross-over contract at around $4.5 million...maybe for 2 years?

    I might be in the minority but as a LA Kings Fan I'm rooting for Edmonton... 1. Removing the oilers Monkey off the kings back would be even sweeter defeding champions edm. 2. In order for hockey to move up the top 4 sports league... We need Connor mcdavid to become the face of the sport. 3. I'm pro West Coast hockey.(California, LV, Seattle, B.C , EDM) As LA kings fan we need the ducks, sharks to become better...

    Why would this make us feel better? All it proves is that the kings can't match up against the top teams. It showed how far we are away. With our cap problems, unless we get really lucky with diamond in the rough prospects, we won't get there

    Kings are just soft players. They played Edmonton soft, like a regular season game. Oilers played playoff hockey: aggressive, hard checking, speed, body sacrificing, and domination in all metrics. QB is overstated. He is maxed out on his game. Hiller is dead wrong. Kings are not any elite playoff threat and competitive.

  • @mbuckley3828
    @mbuckley3828 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Kings fans want to fall back on the fact the team that knocked them out in 5 games is playing in the Finals just to console themselves. Even in hockey now participation ribbons are becoming the norm apparently.

    Nope....the $8.5M anxhor is still here...Blake is still GM and Luc hasn't fired the bum...
    I'm rooting for Florida... Any team that doesn't come from a lame city in Canada and had both Kane and Corey Perry on it... The Kings lost solely to horrid officiating...that was it...

    You're reaching. Kings are still terrible. Doesn't matter who they faced in the playoffs.
