Danny, I fully agree with you. A lot of our Liverpool fans are blind to what's happening, which is why FSG keeps getting away with so much. No other club would put up with owners like them. Honestly, I don't know what LFC fans think they're doing by not calling out FSG. They might think they're holding onto some values or principles, but it's laughable if you look at the bigger picture. Since FSG came in, they've followed a calculated plan-buying off journalists, keeping ex-players on the payroll with meaningless roles, and offering special treatment to fan group leaders and media outlets like Redmen TV. It's all designed to control the narrative and avoid criticism.

FSG are clamping down on expenditures whilst they put together a bid in the region of 4 billion dollars for the Boston Celtics, why would they increase costs in an Asset (Liverpool) that they already own when the probability is those increased costs will not win the title this season and not increase the value of the Club if they were to sell it. I'm not saying that is the right attitude and as a fan I'd rather they sell to someone who wants the club to win consistently but FSG are only interested in seeing the Value of the Club increase

I do not understand why the club have been delaying with signings and i think this is key huge reason J Klopp left at end of last season. He couldnt keep working on shoe string budget and keep competiting with Man City year in year out. I think if a saudi Arabian club offer £100m plus for M Salah he will sold. Carvalho was sold for £27.5m, B Clark is being sold for £10M to RB Salzburg. Edwards and Hughes need to bring in Four Key players over the next few weeks to the club a CB, CDM, RWF and a LWF.
The club needs re inforcements badly and even Brighton have spent over £100m in this current transfer window.
1: Centre back : mobile class quality quick Ignacio from Sporting Lisbon for £35 to £45m.
2: CDM: J Gomes Of Wolves or Ederson from Atlanta for £45 to £50M.
3: RWF: B Mbeumo Of Brentford for 45 to £55M lastly:
4: K Mitoma Of Brighton or A Gordon of Newcastle for £50 to £60m.

The season before that everyone was raving about Bajcetic and Morton before that. Macca can play the 6 too. Goals win you games and if the forwards can’t stay fit or put away chances then we will always use this 6 position as an excuse. There is a good squad there, whats the point of buying squad players when the squad is already big enough. They have 50m which they were prepared to spend on Zubamendi so if someone else good enough is available I am sure they will go for it.
A 6 that can play would be the priority. Defenders they lost Matip but he hardly played last season and Quansah is good enough now. If Van Den Berg is sold I would expect them to go in again but there are still Williams and Philips hanging around as backups who lets not forget were the back 2 for the season where Liverpool pulled 4th out the bag.

Why the drama? Last year we were ahead of schedule, these players will get better. So let's be positive.
Trent needs to sign a new contract, extend VVD, and we need a specialist 6, and potentially cover at CB. So there's work to do.
But, Nunez has improved every year, the new formation is perfect for Elliott and it's a little more solid so we should concede less.
Expect more from MacAllister, Szobaszlai has a higher ceiling and Salah looks really good after getting a good rest this preseason.
I can't believe the negativity, City and Arsenal have only made a signing or two, and they haven't had a new manager come in who needs to assess his squad first. If we pick up a couple of signings that make our squad stronger we will be in a good position to kick on

  • @joncoish
    @joncoish 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

I'm generally happy with the squad. Sure it would've been nice to have gotten a number 6, well they wanted Zubimendi, they tried for him but he turned us down. What are you going to do? That's the player they want, they don't get them, should they just overreact and sign some other player that doesn't fit things as well? I don't know if they should. I think it's a bit naive to think that someone like Klopp leaves, we have the Euros and Copa America so the new guy doesn't get much time with the team during the summer, and then the team is just going to buy buy buy. I think they wanted a bit of time to assess things and see how it goes, maybe sign a player or two in January to tighten things up.
Last year if it wasn't for the huge number of injuries we may have won the league. We were right there towards the end of the season and ran out of steam. The team we have is great, so lets see what happens before we start freaking out. If this season ends and we're out of the top 4 fine I'll eat my words, but I still think we'll be fine. I don't think we'll win the league, but I don't think that's a realistic expectation for a new manager coming in regardless.

the focus is too much on a number (AGE), watch the players on the pitch and then assess. Salah, Alison and VVD are in peak condition and legs will still be great there even in 2026/2027. United buy great players past 31 like Casimero and he was exceptional for 2 seasons and counting, something is weird with the decision making at LFC.

We finished 9 points behind city primarily because of Salah and Nunez. They finished the season poorly. If those 2 are anywhere near what we want, then that's like a new signing. We've also got a number of talented young players who are a year more experienced, some coming into the squad and some returning from long injuries. So that's probably why we haven't bought anyone yet... I think we should let Slot and the recruitment team decide what they want. Even with the squad as it is, I'm quite excited.

I think it's about time you content creators unite and call out FSG. They've seriously damaged our reputation as a global footballing giant. For the last five years, Klopp and FSG have been deliberately harming our club. Players like Milner, Henderson, Salah, and VVD have been asking the club to buy players for years, and now VVD has said it again. It's astonishing that we've allowed our beloved club to be run like a mid-table team with absolutely no ambition whatsoever.
LFC content creators are selfish, with only a handful putting the club first before their own interests. How can we allow these penny-pinchers to run our mighty club like this? We know from experience that all top clubs, including champions, always strengthen their teams, but apparently, we don't have to, and it's been that way for the last five years. Our new manager recently said it's difficult to find players who are better than what we have. This is an unbelievable mentality. FSG hand-picked this guy to be their mouthpiece. Please, guys, for the sake of our club, call out FSG. We're not asking to spend money like Man City; we just want to see serious ambition for winning, not just competing.

So it was a bit of bad business dealing on behalf of lfc . Eventually we ended up with Endo.

I think Liverpool will finish top four this year. The manager needs to get the big players in the dressing room behind him quickly, or he could be out of a job. I personally think he will do that. TAA, Salah, and VVG, are waiting to see how the year develops and how Slot performs before committing. No big issue. A number 6 is required to push for a title challenge though. Liverpool will only buy someone who they think will fit the system and the club. If it’s not this year it will be next year.

Consumerism and manipulated thinking that has no base in reality is that you absolutely need to buy players to improve. Improvement is on the training ground and in the matches. They are not lying that the squad is strong. Arsenal and City had very few injuries last season, but their squad is not stronger, but weaker. It's also about keeping your players, and it is completely untouched that City lost their only other striker than Haaland.
