Another nice reaction to Jinjer.... Josh. The drummer in this video and for the "King of Everything" album is Dimitry Kim. He was a "fill" in drummer, (by his choice) until they could find a permanent replacement after their prior drummer Eugene Mantulin had a horrific accident when he fell from a 3rd story balcony and crushed his spine. I don't know it for a fact, but I believe he became paralyzed after the accident from what I read. So Dimitriy "filled" in. Funny because he's also a fantastic drummer. Vlad came along as is now their permanent drummer, but Dimitriy is still involved with Jinjer in the sound engineering side. Anyhow, keep doing your thing Josh, and Stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶
I watched an interview with the guys and Eugene said that Ryan, the bassist of Mudvayne was his biggest inspiration. Before I saw that interview I felt a lot of Mudvayne which I love. Love your reactions!!
The first time I heard this, I immediately thought that intro felt Very Mudvayne! Glad I'm not the only one. I've seen 3 of your reactions so far, I like what you do, I am subbing!
Fun reaction. Glad you are doing better. I love that this is a love song she wrote as a "call to the universe" to find someone she's mentally and spiritually compatible with. With death growls, of course. The behind the scenes making of video is a ton of fun. Perennial at Wacken is fire - looking forward to it.
Their Mudvayne influence is obvious, but holy haysoos, u mentioned A Lot Like Birds!! Sacramento, California USA in the house. U are the ONLY YT reactor I've seen who's done Jinjer & made that connection. SUCH an underrated band. I worked at a local Sacramento music store with Ben & Joe back in the day. They are 2 of the most chill & down to earth guys u could ever meet. Sadly they decided to disband in 2018. New subscriber here...
I'll click on any Jinjer reaction you put up dude. Always thoughtful and observant so it's interesting to see what your take away from the songs. Both On The Top or Pit of Consciousness live Kiev are, in fact, bangers. They're honestly quite different to Jinjer but they happen to top of mind so I'm just mention that you've got to react to the studio one take vocals for The Beauty of Suffering Spiritbox did some time.
Another clue to the era this video is from is the different drummer - the guy on drums in this video was a stand-in/temporary member (for a while though) and is now a top sound engineer who still works with Jinjer. Sound engineering is his passion, very good drummer too. Current drummer is Vlad Ulasevich who is utterly epic of course. Mad technical skills and something of a theory-crafter. Oh, and... good reaction. More please.
When you get a chance I'd love if you could check out their song Ape, it's one of my favorites but sadly doesn't get as much recognition as their other songs!
Yes, this was shortly after she got rid of the dreads and before the Pisces live session (unless I’m mistaken). There’s a behind the scenes video for this one that you might want to check out in your spare time. I suspect the live in Kiev suggestions are for either On the Top or Retrospection. 😊 (Oops, maybe Pit of Consciousness)
In a way this song doesn't have a chorus for the first half at least. The chorus is the end of the song. An odd song structure as you mentioned. But my favorite ending of all of their songs.
Epic, epic journey, musically, lyrically and visually. These guy have so much diferent tricks up their sleeves, it´s a thing of beauty. You should really react to "Judgement & Punishement" for a big twist brilliantly pulled of by the band. Either the official video or live in Melbourne, both are great. Or try "Retrospection", deeply meaningfull song and a great official video. Great reaction and good commentary, keep it up!
there is a video the making of, you can chek it :) she was so cute at one moment they ask her to move in some way and she was like ''i can't do this more girly :D''
Most songs from King Of Everything, Micro and Macro follow the same structure (with expections) It's usually Intro>verse>chorus>verse>chorus>bridge>Extended Bridge>Might actually extended the bridge some more (this one is optional)> outro
Hope you are doing well now. Amazing reaction. Is wonderful seeing you back. If you want more bands to react to you can try Saint Asonia They are pretty good. Maybe the song King of nothing or the song Better place.
I always get huge Deftones vibes from this song as well im gonna check out Butterfly Effect and the other band u said can't remember the name gotta go back and find it, but if they r anything like this i will love them bc this song is one of my favs all time
I dunno about you, but some of her landing notes comabined against the background chords given me serious Deftones vibes, like major 3rd over minor chords etc
Greetings from Ukraine. I just love your jinjer reaction so much. I would also you to check rocky band from Ukraine- The hardkiss - кораблі. I guess you may to like instrumenatala :)
Maybe check out a band called Soen , perhaps Covenant ? , more straight up progressive rock , with some definite metal edge. Has the ex drummer of opeth (Martin Lopez)
When are you gonna react to more breaking benjamin? one of the most solid bands of the past two decades I suggest you react to - (so cold). great song definitely one of the most respected bands in hard rock and metal. They have about toured with everybody and mostly always a headliner.
YEP GREAT REACTION VIDEO YOUR A PROFESSIONAL AT IT AND YEAH SUCH A GREAT SONG ANYWAYS ARE YOU SAVED AND ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR AND RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE I COULDN'T IMAGINE HEAVEN WITHOUT YOU YOU HAVE A GOD GIVING TALENT ON THE TH-cam KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK
The new-ish Tattoos cost her $26,000 so that tells you how further along their success has gotton since this video. I'm sure she would have got these tattoo's eventually but it is known that she splashed out $26 grand & got the 2 sleeves completed & the entire throat/neck done.
It is interesting to see how people react to music videos. This is a good example of the kind of person who appreciates song form, production, technique...but doesn’t really pay much attention to the lyrics 😉. Not judging-that’s me too.
Yeah Jinjer cares about "traditional" song structure about as much as EA cares about making games without microtransactions. Honestly I believe that making a song sound more mainstream to appeal to more people goes against every fiber of their being. Remember that Judgement & Punishment was the first single off their newest album and it is probably the most experimental song on the album.
Do you REALLY want to know what was like to make the video? If so look no further! th-cam.com/video/d_cF58JpoHE/w-d-xo.html
awesome vid
I was literally about to find the link for that video for him hahahaha we're just on top of shit
I should pay attention. Lol. I just posted about this and I didn't see this even though it's pinned. Lol.
Bugga, I was just about to put the same link up...

love, love, love this song - So happy you finally did it. Definitely On Top live in Kiev next
I know I've heard Tatianna and Eugene mention several times that a huge musical influence of theirs is Mudvayne.
And Opeth for the band, for Tatiana, Otep and Amy Winehouse among others
I watched an interview with the guys and Eugene said that Ryan, the bassist of Mudvayne was his biggest inspiration. Before I saw that interview I felt a lot of Mudvayne which I love. Love your reactions!!

Karnivool, another great Aussie band that Jinjer has parts that remind me.
Jinjer is life 🤟🏼 great reaction brother 💯

That’s amazing man, it’s the way the music tells a story as well as the lyrics I think

Old Opeth and mudvayne i love it

Omg, I love how you figure out the timeline of the songs based on her tattoos 😂
When you get a chance I'd love if you could check out their song Ape, it's one of my favorites but sadly doesn't get as much recognition as their other songs!
Yes! Banger!
Definitely! But also PLEASE be sure to have the lyrics where you can see them too, because there is so much depth in them.
Thanks so much for recommending 'A Lot Like Birds'! I didnt know them until now and they are awesome!

My favorite line from that which I'm reminded of whenever someone mentions how flowing she is "I have a boyish fist. I can't do it girly!" :)
Yeah, I'm eager for "Retrospection" official live video to come out soon.
I am SO glad you got to this one! This is the song that hooked me into Jinjer.
I think there's a behind the scenes video of them making this music video. I'm pretty sure I watched it a while back.
You , being a massive Eugene and bass fan, should definitely react to *"APE"* and *"SIT STAY ROLLOVER"* !!!
Great reaction for a great song
At 4:50 when they went almost quiet it was like deftones. Deftones is what you are looking for. Out of order but for a purpose.
In a way this song doesn't have a chorus for the first half at least. The chorus is the end of the song. An odd song structure as you mentioned. But my favorite ending of all of their songs.

Love this song 😁👍👍
Oh....welcome back...hope u are doing better. I was hoping or "On The top"....but that will come I guess :)
Oh my God dude, I just went to A Lot Like Birds from your recommendation. THANK YOU. Just what I need to get my teeth into right now.
Yeah mate that’s the good stuff!!!
So you were getting the Vex gate vibe from the backdrop too....Since this was released on the 11th, it was soon after the big reveal stream by Bungie.
What system do you play Destiny on? I'm on XboxOne.
Another great video!!
Tati re-purposed the suit from this vid and turned it into what she wore at Resurrection Fest 2019.
That’s so cool! I don’t think I’ve seen anything from that yet
Wicked fun reaction. Great stuff and look forward to more. Gonna have to check out those other bands (already a fan of Mudvayne) Cheers
This is basically Tatianas love song.
And remaind me Voivod, loosly..
Most songs from King Of Everything, Micro and Macro follow the same structure (with expections) It's usually Intro>verse>chorus>verse>chorus>bridge>Extended Bridge>Might actually extended the bridge some more (this one is optional)> outro
You should check out Judgement & Punishment Live in Melbourne 2020 another OUTSTANDING live performance. Cheers
Hope you are doing well now. Amazing reaction. Is wonderful seeing you back. If you want more bands to react to you can try Saint Asonia
They are pretty good. Maybe the song King of nothing or the song Better place.
Pit of consciousness video pleeeease
Oh that’s what I meant when I said perennial haha
Roguenjosh Pit of Consciousness Live in Kiev official video is incredible, but the studio version official video is great too
@@benbrice5544 My favorite song, but I prefer the Live in Kiev set honestly. Her growls seem more epic in that live version.
Thinking pit of consciousness is their best song, whether it is the official or the live video.
Great song, deep meaning. The video is ok, the live performance in Kiev is awesome!
I don't think I've ever heard anyone bring up the Mudvayne comparison, but I definitely hear it now.
I always get huge Deftones vibes from this song as well im gonna check out Butterfly Effect and the other band u said can't remember the name gotta go back and find it, but if they r anything like this i will love them bc this song is one of my favs all time
I think you mean perennial live at wacken? That’s the most requested version
Mate, you've gotta buy this album. It's in my top 10.
I can see the Alot like birds correlation. Alot like Birds sounds like The Used meets The Mars Volta.
I dunno about you, but some of her landing notes comabined against the background chords given me serious Deftones vibes, like major 3rd over minor chords etc
There’s a making of this vid, behind the scenes.
There is a "how it was made" video.
The part before the very last reminds me of Annie Lennox.
Glad you are better!
Greetings from Ukraine. I just love your jinjer reaction so much. I would also you to check rocky band from Ukraine- The hardkiss - кораблі. I guess you may to like instrumenatala :)
Ukraine, thank you!
As a warlock, I'm floofing to my death with this song.
Titan for life (floof away though)
It's much more unusual for Jinjer to use a more conventional song structure than not.
Great one as always, you have to react to Gojira at some point :)
Yeah more jinjer =D For a reaction video, how about Neckrogoblikon - We need a gimmick. Glad you are feeling better
Maybe check out a band called Soen , perhaps Covenant ? , more straight up progressive rock , with some definite metal edge. Has the ex drummer of opeth (Martin Lopez)
Judgement and punishment.
Check Spiritbox - Rules of nines
When are you gonna react to more breaking benjamin? one of the most solid bands of the past two decades I suggest you react to - (so cold). great song definitely one of the most respected bands in hard rock and metal. They have about toured with everybody and mostly always a headliner.
Oh I definitely will soon, there’s so much to listen to from them too!
I'll second that!
I don't understand why BB don't get more love than they do.
Notice it´s the old drummer??
No I didn’t!!
When it comes to Jinjer you have to say "the previous drummer", you can't say "the old drummer" when they had 4 before Vlad. ; )
@@Module79Lold, older, oldest.......works fine ;)
Reminds me of Sevendust for some reason
Hell yeah
There is a video on TH-cam that shows the making of this video.
You should check out Words of Wisdom Live
Я бы ещё добавил к этому списку группу tesseract

Can you do Jinjer - APE next :)
ALEX TERRIBLE - BILLIE EILISH, BAD GUY (COVER REACTION). A MUST DO
take request?
AuRoRa-it happened quiet

You: Wonder what It was like to make this video?
Jinjer: Here you go... th-cam.com/video/d_cF58JpoHE/w-d-xo.html

Underloved comment from the EA fan here! LOL ;p
I like the video a lot but I really don’t like the music very much. Love your videos!
still don't know if I want to marry Tati or be Tati. Probably both.
(that being said I'm not a fan of that song)
I always hated mudvain. I felt their music was weak sauce and wanabe/shite metal. But I may need to take another listen.
Dude has the worst pause timing in all of youtube…
This is from 3 years ago when I’d just started, I thought I had to pause every 30 seconds for copyright back then 😂, I barely pause these days
