The Macro album is from October last year. Together with the Micro EP that came before it's an awesome collection of songs. You still have a long way to go. Also the "King of Everything" is also really good. Hell it's Jinjer it's good.
The music is unsettling- like the rise and fall of a stormy sea. Imagine yourself on a ship (the Ark) upon a stormy, angry sea, looking at the horizon. Once again they paint that picture with the music. The composition is amazing.
They've always put their money into the stuff that is going to build the band, and don't skimp on the music videos. Even the ones I'm not into I'm extremely impressed by. Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev shows off the investment they recently made in upgraded stage production... too bad it is sidelined until the pandemic is over.
That show in Kyiv (it's correct current spelling , while "Kiev" is outdated) was done in a great club "Bingo", hence the staging. :) Video and stage production in Ukraine is at very high level and there are plenty of Ukrainian music videos which by themselves are pieces of art. I would suggest such videos as "Verba" by Motanka ( th-cam.com/video/Dx7lRWJyMeY/w-d-xo.html ), "Zenit" by Onuka, any by The Hardkiss (Stones, Кораблi, Жива etc, actually every their video is unique in style), Aнтитіла - a set of 2 videos "Лови момент" and "HELLO" (a twist in the fist video links to the second very emotional video), TDME (Lyric video), "1944" by Jamala and many others. This short list was just for starters to name a few and I hope you'll enjoy them. :)
Excellent reaction dude. As a non-musician myself, it's great to hear your musical insights. Strictly speaking this is just a new video. 'Noah' is the sixth track of their 'Macro' album. Macro came out in 2019. Well worth picking up of course. Cheers dude.
If you like unsettling chord progressions with time changes, insane musicianship, musical changes, diverse vocals growls and cleans from the same guy and just great writing, you must check out Opeth. Jinjer often cite them as one of their biggest influences, and you can hear it in the chords. Very dark and broooding, but so cool. A great song to check out is Deliverance or Ghost of Perdition for a first song.
Opeth is fantastic. In fact a lot of fan overlap of Jinjer and Opeth. Different bands, but both progressive with clean and growl. You can hear some of Opeth's influence in this band.
Great one! You really gotta react more often to these guys. They are a box full of surprises and so much talent in the four of them, dig deeper! Peace.
You need to check out 'I Speak Astronomy' (watch the official music video). Not reviewed/reacted to often, but one of my jinjer favourites. Also if you haven't already you should pop across the ditch and check out "Alien Weaponry" from NZ. Try the song "Kai Tangata" (said Tongue - ata) Metal in Maori, it's something else.
Love your work buddy. I would strongly recommend Pit of Consciousness. Official video or Live in Kiev both go down a treat can’t go wrong. It’s my Favourite Jinjer song.
Hi Josh. Loved the reaction. At the start you said Jinjer released a "new song," so I have great news! Noah isn't a new song ;) There is an album full of Jinjer songs that came out October 2019 (Macro), and there are still songs from it you haven't reacted to yet. They don't all have videos official videos on youtube though, so I'm not sure how reacting to them would work. They are on spotify, etc though, so if you're digging them as much as it seems i highly recommend the albums Macro, Micro (EP) and King of Everything. You've reacted to songs from those albums, but not all of the songs. Worth a listen in private at least, if not a video each. Glad you reacted to it! Noah's in my top 3 of Jinjer songs since it dropped last year
chek the full album Macro, the song is from there, and you will see what an increadible album is ... On the Top Pit of Consciousness Judgement (& Punishment) Retrospection Pausing Death Noah Home Back The Prophecy lainnereP
Macro came out about 6 months ago but they have been releasing new videos every month or so. This is Tatiana rewriting a bible story. In her version the arc doesn't make it.
This was an awesome video to go back to. Great reaction to a great song! They should probably have an epilepsy warning at the start for the flashing lights. It didn't quite get my seizures happening but it was a near thing
There are definitely heavier jinjer songs than noah but the song is definitely on my top 5 not bec its super heavy but because of what the song is about. Tati wrote her own noah story, here everyone dies. As an atheist Idk why but It feels good whenever I listen to songs like this lol
Bloviator Magnus I’ve asked him about this, and he replied that he never uses a pick. He said he uses the tip of his index finger braced against his thumb - as can be seen here in the transition at 1:35: th-cam.com/video/2He4d2-OBGc/w-d-xo.htmlm25s . But when he’s playing the white bass in this same video, he is clearly holding a pick. 🤷♂️
Not brand new, it was released last fall on Macro. It's the 5th music video they have released from the album so far. Honestly, all the songs are good enough to make a video except maybe lainnereP which is mostly instrumental. There are 3 other songs left: Pausing Death, Home Back, and The Prophecy.
You got this one, but missed “Judgment (&Punishment), “On the Top”, and “Retrospection”, which were also singles from “Macro”, and all superior to this one. Go on, take a look back!
Hey Josh, why did you get into bass? I never really started to appreciate it until last year, so im curious to see what drew you to it so much. Thanks for the videos! (Also "Where Owls Know my Name" by Rivers of Nihil)
I think it was Adam Neely who said he played bass because he likes being able to bully the band. He's doing jazz, though, so his bass often pushes the direction of the improvisation.
Any chance of doing a react to the new Slaughter to Prevail track called Demolisher? Heavy Deathcore but epic and very interesting. You would be the perfect guy to dissect that.
Man bro, great stuff. I'm just subscribed to your channel. Love your perspective from a musician. Lets get into a musicians band, Dream Theater S2N on their latest record Distance Over Time. They will absolutely blow your mind. I really hope you give them a listen.
@@Roguenjosh coolness man, would love to ride that Specialized Stumpjumper short travel. I'm riding a Salsa Horsethief 29er, it rips. There's nothing I love more than MTBing and music. I've been rockin' since the 80's and been to well over 200 concerts, live music is everything. I'm a RN and there's better to help me decompress than riding and music. I just bought a Salsa Journeyman gravel bike and looking forward to some long gravel rides. Love your channel man, ride fast, be safe, and rock out. Dream Theater man!!
iteresting... i thought this was one of the weaker entries and tatiana way overdid it on the balance of fry vocals to cleans.... it's just too much.... like when you eat a piece of cake that has so much sugar in it your face cringes
JINJER - Pit Of Consciousness (Live in Kiev)
Great song and most savage growls of anything they've released. And great visuals with their upgraded stage production.
Agreed 💯!
The Macro album is from October last year. Together with the Micro EP that came before it's an awesome collection of songs. You still have a long way to go. Also the "King of Everything" is also really good. Hell it's Jinjer it's good.
And before King of Everything, Cloud Factory is really good too. And before that Inhale Don't Breathe. ;) \m/
@@j.f.fisher5318 Yup exactly ... It's all good for the earholes :D .
I Speak Astronomy is another high quality music video.
I like the video. I wouldn't call it high quality though.
@@DegraTrip I would, It's extremely artistic and cinematic. Much more than Noah, IMO
It's a great vid, and one of the songs that really showcases Tatiana's versatility and the technical expertise of both Eugene and Roman!
Bloviator Magnus Conceptually it's a nice video. Noah, visually, is much clearer/cleaner. I Speak Astronomy looks a bit rough.
The music is unsettling- like the rise and fall of a stormy sea. Imagine yourself on a ship (the Ark) upon a stormy, angry sea, looking at the horizon. Once again they paint that picture with the music. The composition is amazing.

They dont have video for it but you should check out their song “Home Back”.
They do now.
already loved this song when the album came out, and now I love it more :)
Amazing song, Amazing video, Great reaction!! So glad I could point you in this direction!! 🔥🤘
many, many thanks for your quick reaction to a phenomenal song from a unique band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
greetings from a german musician
I love the drums in this song. It's just super satisfying.

Her "second" vocal line is amazing. I really like it.
Tatiana wrote this song in relation to the story of Noah and the ark, but in her version it failed and they all died.
Great one! You really gotta react more often to these guys. They are a box full of surprises and so much talent in the four of them, dig deeper! Peace.
Please react to more Jinjer. 😊 (But yeah, Macro was released last year.)
It was still exciting to watch the new clip with everyone haha
Yea this song is loaded with dissonant guitars. Its brutal.
Pit Of Consciousness is great. Listen to it for sure
Jinjer - Pit of Consciousness

So many good songs from this band. I Speak Astronomy is a another great video.
Judgement and punishment official music video slaps!
Great reaction, I was really hoping someone would do this today. I’m a huge fan of Jinjer as well I don’t think they can make a bad song.
Eugene said they'll have a new record next year
Yeah this song came out in October with the rest of the album, it's just the video that is new
Macro came out about 6 months ago but they have been releasing new videos every month or so. This is Tatiana rewriting a bible story. In her version the arc doesn't make it.
Not new but great none the less even if it is my least favorite song on Macro I was hoping for Home Back to be the 5th single
Watch Noah again and watch the camera work when it's on the drummer etc..
That dolly zoom - mmmm, sweet!
This was an awesome video to go back to. Great reaction to a great song!
They should probably have an epilepsy warning at the start for the flashing lights. It didn't quite get my seizures happening but it was a near thing
Yeah for real I can imagine, never watch my log power slave reaction it will set it off 100%!
I'll make sure to keep away from that one 😄
Great analysis as usual. Thanks for this Tati's favourite track from Macro.

The word for the chorus is "tension".
That’s a great word for it
Not a huge fan of the video, but the song is siiiiiick!!!!!! 😆
It’s a super dark song, very cool
You gotta listen Outlander and sit stay roll over
PLEASE React to Judgement and Punishment and Outlander. Those are my two favorites
I Speak Astronomy. a little bit older but my fav. but please the Video and no Live version. you need this experience.
Do yourself a favor and watch the video "I speak astronomy". You won't regret that.
yesssss you did it same day! Do you ever do reactions on your twitch stream? Been trying to catch you on stream but we haven't really connected yet
I Speak Astronomy
Every time she changes her look she gets hotter!!!
So I heard this song from their live performance video that went out and was confused as to why I didn't know about it 😂 makes sense it's new lol
This sounded amazing live too

Hey Josh, why did you get into bass? I never really started to appreciate it until last year, so im curious to see what drew you to it so much. Thanks for the videos! (Also "Where Owls Know my Name" by Rivers of Nihil)
I fee that it sets the tone of the whole song, there’s no better feeling than jamming with a band and feeling like you’re ‘driving’
@@Roguenjosh I see what you're saying! Now, whenever I hear a song with a nice groove to it, the bass just makes it work and it really stands out.
I think it was Adam Neely who said he played bass because he likes being able to bully the band. He's doing jazz, though, so his bass often pushes the direction of the improvisation.
Thats his own signature bass from a ukrainian company
That’s very cool
