@@ericchristopherson8470 the good news is that there is a working fix. I am in a beta group helping test. It should be out soon and I can put together an updated video. If you are interested in the beta, there is a private facebook group. let me know. Otherwise the fix should be out soon.
Great explanation of some of the OneSaUCE controls. I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of weeks now! Do you know if there is a full list of games somewhere that are on the OneSaUCE platform? Are there any pinball games? When I go into the Collections screen, I see a pic for it, but there is no Pinball games in the actual menus down below? TIA!!
Thanks for letting me know you found this helpful. That is a great question about the list of games. I don't see a list and I searched r/FansOfSauce reddit and didn't see one there either. Regarding pinball, I just booted up mine and didn't see any video pinball right off. There are some pinball games on the Sega Genesis, so maybe installing the one-sa-uce-sega-cart-pack you might find some there. I do think a video pinball pack would be a nice addition though.
Thanks for the video - cleared up some doubts about how to unzip the files. You mentioned formatting the stick as FAT32 or ExFAT, other videos insist on using NTFS?
I think NTFS does work with the latest firmware. NTFS supports larger thumbdrives and 4GB files. With that said, none of the files in the OneSauce package come even close to 4GB and you can format up to a 2TB drive with FAT32. Its up to you though. I am using a 128GB thumbdrive.
Thanks for the video! Glad that know that I can do something with this game console. The instructions were helpful. However, when I loaded the latest OneSauce 15-Nov-2023 Core build + arcade, it doesn't seem to work. The word 'loading' flashed for a second and then nothing. Any idea why it's not loading up? The firmware on the LGP is 5.25. Not planning to update to 5.70 though.
There is a new V2 base build that was just released on 2024-04-04 . I have not tested it yet but it might fix the issues. It sounds like it might be an issue with the scriptor files so this download may help.
@@pathfindercast I switched to NTFS and moved all the files to the root folder of the USB drive. That apparently works! Will try out the new base but the build so far is good. Thanks.
Does this work with firmware 5.70? Also, do you have to create two partitions on the flash drive (1 FAT32 and the other exFAT for oneSauce)? Also, do you have to run the AddonX tool?
Where can I find the conversion file for the puck. I've asked on reddit Facebook group eerywhere. It was taken off internet archive. I did get this build to work but I lost my included liscensed games wont load anymore and I'm not able to access the mame and retroarch menus possible bc I didn't run the conversion file. Can anyone please help. Thanks in advance
I think you just need the "Core Build" files now which is all inclusive. Its a 28GB file so I have not had the time to download it and test it out yet. archive.org/details/one_saUCE_Core-Build
OneSaUCE is essentially retroarch so you get lots of ability to customize the emulator and shaders (such as adding CRT scanlines or changing aspect ratios). CoinopsX v5 has all of the optimizations done for you so it works great without any added work and you lose the ability to change any of the settings if you don't like what you see. CoinOpsX will be the one that most people will want to use because it does work really well. They both have the same game selection. I only "upgraded" to OneSauce because I find it fun to play around with all of the different settings to get the most realistic arcade experience.
Here are the downloads. You just need the one for your specific hardware archive.org/details/one-sauce-conversion-files Also there is a controller update for ALU 1.0. I don't think its needed for the other hardware. archive.org/details/2022-05-09-game-controller-db-update

Good video and I have that exact same shirt!
Thanks! NGL sometimes I will buy a t-shirt because they will be fun to wear in a video, in addition to really liking them.

@@pathfindercast Thanks for the clarification - makes sense. I also plan to use a 128GB flash drive BTW.
Great video. This seems like such a downgrade from coinops. The long loading time to start, the configuring one by one of roms.

my ALU is arriving in 2 days, im assuming it will have the latest firmware installed. will this work on my new unit?
Yes there are now 5.70 compatible scripter.uce files. Enjoy your new arcade machine!

Is the king of fighters 2002 available?
there is a kof2002 zip file in the roms folder so I am pretty sure it is. I have not tested it though.
