You can make several keys for the same vehicle. During programming the device gets paired to the VIN of the vehicle. Different vehicle require a new programmer

Do you have to wait for the door locks to cycle before you press the buttons? My car starts up but neither the eight second or four second programming works for the keys
Yes, the locks should cycle before the vehicle will learn the new remotes. I recommend calling the toll free customer support number when you are with your vehicle and have the keys.
only, a comment for the programming of the buttons, in a ford focus 2017, after the eighth time, it must be in the off position, to program. The video indicates what should be left in the on position. In the product manual, it is correct.

The programming equipment does not delete other paired keys on Ford vehicles.
I followed the instructions on the booklet and video and somehow the lock button for my key fob for my 2012 F-150 will remote start the truck instead of locking it. I've tried to reprogram it several times using method A & B but same results. What do you recommend?

Is there a way to reprogram my second key to be recognised by immobilizer? Key was working fine but i tried to take radio out by bit of force and the key stopped working. I have other key that only locks car manualy. And the button on starting key doesnt work.

It's a little kind of confusing. Where does the old key come to play in the actual key programing, since the New key was programed with just the device. Help me understand, thank you.
Hi Samuel, old key is needed to copy the cut in the new key required prior to programming. Also, an old working key will determine that the Ford vehicle's PATS is working properly. For more details, you may reach out to help@tomskey.com
Will this work if the only key I have for a 2017 Ford Taurus is one without any sort of key fob at all?
Yes. As long as your key starts the engine and lets you drive the vehicle it will work. Any fob button features that were factory original will function. It can not add features to the vehicle that did not come from the factory.

If my 2015 Ford Taurus does not go into programming mode does that mean I do not have the remote key fob module?
Car came with only 2 "dumb" keys and was a ex police interceptor.

What part of the country do you live in? Glad you have a place that charges a reasonable price. Many places it costs 2, 3, or even 4 times our prices to have the dealer make another key.
I don't know about you but my local dealership wanted $380 to program just 1 key for my Mustang and an additional $150 for a second copy.
