I recently purchased the Simple key for my 2012 Ford F-150. Much easier to use than I thought it was going to be! I definitely recommend!
I was a bit skeptical about using this product. So I took a chance on it and it worked just as demonstrated on this video. During the programing process though my SUV did not make the locking noise as it does on the video once the ten minutes are up. Received my key today. Went to the Ford dealer and they wanted $35 to cut the key! Went to a different Ford dealer and they did it for free. Used the programmer and it took 10 minutes just as shown. About one minute to program the door lock buttons. Easy and perfect.
Robert Wamack - Thanks for sharing! Crazy they wanted $35 to cut the key. It should take less than 5 minutes to cut (being generous), so they wanted $700/hr for key cutting. Rip off in my book!

I'm three years late lol , but Home Depot cut my key for free here in metro Atlanta. When a business takes care of the customer - even a freebee When they can, a good customer will be back - maybe on a large ticket item too!
I suspect it's a hit and miss wherever you go for a key or anything else.

If you only have one original master key, will the second key that’s programmed also be a master key?

What if that pats alarm is on and when you connect battery. The horn sounds and car Will not start?
Tom I noticed you had removed the OBD keypad off the vehicle before you started pairing of the remote. While pairing the remote, do you need to keep the OBD device plugged in? All my keys are good, all i need is to activate the remotes.

Correct - only one key required to use Simple Key. It will not be a clone. As long as your vehicle came factory equipped with remote start it will work on the new key

This is a bit scary because our 2010 Mustang has a feature that fries the electrical system if you try to start it with the wrong key. Have you used it on a 2010 Mustang successfully?
Never heard of that feature. Have you ever seen or done that? What if you try to start the vehicle with a metal key with no chip. I recommend talking to the dealership to ask what this feature is called - it sounds like a rumor to me. The 2010 mustang uses the same key as 2005-2014 mustang. It's also the same key for about 2 dozen other Ford models that cover many years in each model.

How is the range for the simple key fob? I have a 2010 Ford Escape I bought recently and it only had one remote. The remote has terrible range(I have to be standing right next to the car to unlock it) so I replaced the battery and had no luck with the range. Will still definitely purchase the simple key to have a second key for my new car.
It has good range but I haven't measured it. Will you let everyone know how far away you can be once you program a simple key for your Escape?
K S locksmith and even some hardware stores can cut the key just fine
@@KentonSmalls50 I’ve figured out why my original remote has such poor range and rarely ever worked when I pressed the lock/unlock buttons. In the key fob itself the battery has to make good contact with the small four metal pads on the green circuit board. The tabs were almost flush with the board so I raise them up slightly so when I closed the key fob the battery had good contact with the tension of those small metal pads. Hope that made sense. Yes. The programmer can do Up to 4 keys for the same vehicle!
Do you have to have the old remote to program the new remote?
No, you only need the working key that starts the engine. As long as your vehicle came with a remote to lock/unlock, it should work just fine to add one with this kit.
If the vehicle has remote start will that also work on the new key?
Yes. All features that are factory original on the remote will work with the new remote
is the simple key programing box a one time use or can it be used over again ?
For most vehicles it can make 4 keys. It is specific to the vehicle - to use it, it pairs to the VIN of the vehicle, so you can't use it on a different vehicle. But if you need to make several keys for the same vehicle you just need to buy the right keys to go with it.

I ordered the programmer and 2 keys for my 2011 Mercury Mariner. I also had them cut the keys. It all arrived yesterday. The keys worked perfectly. I followed the instructions on programming them for starting and the integrated remotes. No problems. Great product!

Won't work in my 2010 Mercury Mariner. Tried so many times that I killed the battery, recharged it, tried again multiple times, still didn't work. I even got the successful tone after each try but the key wouldn't start the car. Tried again today and it doesn't do the success tone at the end anymore, it does the error beeping....

Great question. I'm not sure. Look at the Programming Instructions guide here. tomskey.com/collections/ford-escape-2008-2012/products/simple-key-programmer-kit-ford-lincoln-mercury-mazda-vehicles-4-button. It does not seem to require an existing working key in the process, so it seems like it should work if you can get the key blade cut correctly to match the new ignition. You may also be able to get an answer by calling customer service at 888-598-8910.

So I’ve got a 2015 Expedition and I only have 1 key. After obtaining a 2nd programmed key, I will be installing auto start which will tell me if both keys are different because if it doesn’t work, the auto start won’t work, as both keys need to be different, but programmed to the vehicle.
By using this kit, am I going to have 2 of the same key, or will they both be separate? And I’ll have no issues with the auto start telling me I have 2 of the same key?
You will have 2 separate keys. This does not clone keys, but adds a new one to the computer. If you need a 3rd key or more we have loose keys you can add to your order too.

Can you reuse the obd2 tool and program other keys for other cars of same make ?
No. You need a new programmer for each vehicle. The programmer reads the VIN number and becomes locked to the first vehicle it makes a key for. You can make up to 4 keys for the same vehicle with it.

No, it starts with 2004 F-150. Sorry. 2003 is a different key and programming process.

I bought mine for my f150 2010 Lariat.
I bought two of the control remote keys. Payed a local Locksmith to cut and program chip to vehicle. Alsp did program the remote to truck. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I havent had a chance. It even worked with the Warm Car now product to remote start my vehicle. God bless Toms Keys and thank you for good product

I have a 2012 Escape that came with only 1 key and still has a 2nd key that is programed. I would like to erase the key I don't have and then replace it with a new one. Does the new key have a different ID or is it a clone of the first key? Thanks.

What if I don’t have power locks or windows
Does your key have a marking on the blade? Maybe an SA or a circle with a plus? If it's a chip key and the vehicle is in the year/model list it should work for you, thought the buttons won't do anything. But it'll program and start the car
Idk if you're still answering questions but somehow I turned my master key into a my key with 80 mph restrictions my radio is restricted. I can't turn the key back into a master key now I need to make a new master key so I can disable my key then I can turn my my key back to a master key. I have a 2011 Mercury Milan premier. I still have the keys working key what does program help me make a new MyKey master key and I'm going to need to get a key quick cuz my son bit my key but it's still working but I don't want it to break..
Yes, we can help you. We have a cherry coming out soon about using the simple key kit to get rid of my key. So, yes, the new one will be an admin key. Then you can go turn off the my key for your original key.
My key was destroyed and the FOB was separated from the blade. It was run over by a lawnmower. Can a new integrated blank blade and FOB be cut and programmed?

on part two when getting the key fob to work you should specify which key you're putting in the ignition and turning and it doesn't say in the instruction book either it would help thank you

@@jamesd5415 yes. The new key won't have the Mykey settings attached to it. you would just need to use the new key as your primary and then the current key you have can be a spare but every time you use the old key your Mykey features was still be on.
So i just ordered this key fob kit for a 2008 ford taurus x and had it cut by them from a photo which turns the ignition to my surprise. But unfortunately even though i ordered a ford set up I got an instruction manual for Chrysler jeep dodge VW I tried a few different numbers on the programer and its wouldn't program. Complete waste of money. And yes i emailed them but im not holding my breath since im still waiting for an e-mail back from about a week ago.

When i put the the new key into position the security light is blinking fast. And then when I hit the button on the end of the programmer it beeps twice and all the dash lights go off. At the 10-minute Mark the programmer does the two beeps my - lights come back on but the security light stays blinking I unplugged everything take the key out the key back in and try and it just starts blinking fast again and does not start
When I bought the car I only received One key. The key has disintegrated and I can't start my car. Now that I have to spend the money can I get two keys to be able to start the car?

Would love to hear why you call this a scam. Thousands of people have used it successfully. Perhaps you are referring to the scam that dealerships run in charging as much as $500 for a new key in some parts of the USA when customers can make a new key themselves for around $100 in about 15 minutes with our products?

Is this working for older focuses? I have a 2003. Looks like this is 2005 and up from the website.
Unfortunately older ones have a different key and programming process so it doesn't work
