When replacing wheels on any European vehicle, use the long stud alignment bolts, one or two (ebay/amazon) to allow you to mount the tire, put a couple of lugs in, then unscrew the alignment bolts and finish with your lugs. Work Smarter!

When you’re ready for some wheeling I know of some pretty sweet trails to try in CO! I run them quite a bit in my Tundra and I think they could push that G550 a bit

Hoovie , I had a G500 back in the day where I was able to “reverse “ the spare tire and expose the front side instead of the back , I extended fabricated an extension for the holder it looked pretty nice I will email you a picture . You may find it interesting

Get your diff-locks bled. They are actuated by vacum operating a hydraulic system, and the fluid has probably never been changed. It's just some sort of brake fluid, but I can't remember the DOT rating. Use them regularly, and you will keep them from seizing.

to save you time with the wheel nuts i had them on my ford so i tried to drill like you but its timely .. so i welded the outer spining part the center then use a socket and put it over the nut hit it on and simply take the nut off .... saves so much time

you can go up to 35's with only upgrading the bushings, with the lift you can do it easily. It's a bit of a tight fit but it doesn't rub.

I had those same Ko2’s on my 4runner. Awesome in snow but you’ll have balancing issues every time you rotate them.

I had a g55 in at my shop for front end axle work. After parts and labor it was around $2500 for new front axles, bearings, and all the odds and ends.

I did the same mod to my old Nissan Patrol (except the spacers), in my experience, bigger tires will wear out your wheel bearings quicker.
Used to do this with my son on a way less budget. No TH-cam then. Saw a Lamborghini at whataburger in San Antonio yesterday. Good luck Hoovie.

Hmm that Volvo looks quite nice, the XC90s are so overlooked
only in V8 though, even then that B8444S is a little finicky. It's basically just a P2 Volvo, exact same architecture. transversely mounted V8... weak bevel gear/PTO unit, decent diff and driveshafts but not made for real torque. Also McPherson front suspension. Don't get me wrong I own another P2 (2002 V70), they are good and reliable vehicles if maintained, but made to a price point. Volvo did well though during that era and the XC90 was the last of the P2's still in production by 2015

The 55 was the best motor in the AMG line up. 63's are the ones that are problematic and terrible reliability.

Any VW/Mercedes lock nut gives me nightmares from my early days as a tech. Hey Wizard, I’m sure you have one but if not then I STRONGLY recommend getting a 3/4 breaker bar!! It is honestly life changing. It makes breaking German wheel bolts by hand an absolute breeze
