this is incredible...The dry ice just eats off 17 years of dirt and grit and makes plastics look brand new again.

That dry ice machine is like a magic wand. Amazing
Speaking from my experience, on the w463, areas you MUST inspect for rust are:
1. Around the (rear) tailgate door. Peel back the entire seal around the rear door. It's likely you'll find rust at the top and bottom of the door seams.
2. Undercarriage shock mounts. Basically, where the top of the shocks and springs meet the frame.
3. Around the front windshield. Gently lift up the thick rubber seal and shine a flashlight in there. Do this for all windows that have the thick rubber seals.
4. The side mirrors on both sides, specifically the mirror mounts. Water tends to pool at the bottoms of these mirrors on the G wagen. If there is rust on the side mirror mounts, then take off the mirror (from the door) and see if there is rust on the door where it meets the side mirror.
5. Check to see if the A pillar drain channels are clear. If they are not , rust might be hiding behind the A pillar trim.
6. Open up the sunroof. that's another big problem area right after the tailgate. If there is rust that means the drain lines for the sunroof probably also clogged.
7. After you check all these places then you can move into inspecting the rest of the G. Other areas of concern are behind the headlights, bottom side of hood, rocker panels. (Rubber trim - ROCKER MOULDING part number A4636902862 can hide rust behind it.)
Wow there is just one thing to say. There is clean and " i am detailing clean "
They spend more time in the backlight then normal people the whole year in the complete car.

Fantastic!! Love the wide shots of the dry ice blasting with camera, not just the POV view. I think you’ve proved there is no better color for a G-Class than Black. On my 4th G Class now (my first black one) - but one of the toughest things to keep clean are the wheel wells, and all the rubber/trim around windshield, rear windows, and the running boards. Mine is only months old - and does not look as good as the one in your video....
What year and trim would you say have been most reliable for you sir?

It seems verry good but after this process do you need some protection on the surface ?
On the bottom no because there is still light cover of factory wax and all parts are painted so it doesn’t need anything. And if you talking about paint then we applied ceramic coating on it like a protection.
@@IAMDetailing thank you for your reaction i was talking about the bottom surface. So this will need no protection, and a nother thing what i think about is electrical connections en little wires are they dry ice proof no problems that you ever seen.

G55 the best out of the g class in my opinion. I hope it drives as good as it looks. Fantastic detail work. Wonder how much this would cost to have done. Did they apply Ppf to the wheel arch lower. Chance of scuffing get in and out of the g.can be a bit awkward if you are quite tall and large shoes.
