@@MainelyElectrons I think the avata 2 is fantastic tbh - the think I love about it far outweighs the cons and many of those have now been fixed with firmware updates
Very useful video, been looking for something like this for some time now. Have the original Avata and was sitting on the fence about selling it or not.
Thanks - so what’s your decision going to be? Sell or keep? One thing I forgot to mention which could be a deal breaker if you’re selling is that the goggles 3 and remote 3 are currently not compatible with any of the O3 stacks.
@@dronewilder5234 Im thinking of keeping it, mainly because of the O3 system that is being used in other drones, as well as the fact that I won't be able to sell the avata for much right now and so wouldn't be worth it for me.
@@dronewilder5234 Probably keep at this stage sinc I won't be able to sell it for much, and also having the controllers and goggles which are compatible with the o3 air unit is a big thing for me since I want to fly other fpv drones as well. The o3 system and the drone works perfectly fine for me now so I don't really see much point in upgrading unless I can sell the Avata for a decent amount
@@gonpachiro-r9v makes sense. From a practical point of view it really won’t make a huge amount of difference - even with d log m 10 bit colour which is great but knowing how to use the drone makes a bigger difference
@@dronewilder5234 Honestly I really wanted to have d log m since I have the osmo action 4 and it would be very nice to have that on my fpv drones too so colourgrading would be easier but oh well and tbh I dont see much difference as of now though that might just be me.
Decent video. I feel if you use the drone for photos and videos mostly this ones better. If you just enjoy flying fpv the original is better for being easier to fix and seems to be much stronger, which was a massive point for people who just enjoy flying
Yes true - if they had the avata 2 convenience features combined with the avata 1 crash resistance and maintenance, it would be a winner. I personally would have preferred it to be a bit heavier and more rigid with a bit more power.
Really nice having a real person point of view, instead of a script written by DJI, lovely drone , just a pity about the wind performance
Yes, really wish dji gave us some form of Pid gain access
I absolutely love my Avata 2! No doubt its not as powerful as a “real” FPV drone, but its a fantastic starter

If you are situated in the UK could you tell me if the avata 2 is speed restricted the same as EU
@@billyraymyers1002 yeah I’m in the UK. Personally I couldn’t see any difference in manual mode top speed after applying the HAM hack or drone tweaks.
Very nice subbed your channel
Have you got white mills video?
That’s next on the list to get edited 🙃
@@dronewilder5234 I was starting to think you lost the SD card 😅
i would upgrade just because of the noise difference
Totally agree - having a quiet, discrete drone is massively underrated!
