@@davidbaines5804 autorotation has nothing to do with collective adjustable pitch (I’m very familiar with autorotations on collective pitch helis and have done plenty of them). The term autorotation merely describes a propellor which rotates without the action of an engine/motor. Even a maple leaf is said to “autorotate”

@dronewilder5234 yes but to do a auto rotation on a heli you have to go from a slight negative pitch to a large positive pitch at the last minute to land without crashing. In heli terms this is a auto rotation. Drones with fixed pitch blades can not give lift if motor is off.there may be a slight amount of lift but it will crash and not land. End of. No disrespect implied.

Yes you can look down vertically with this drone.

hope they increase that with the next iteration. Bluetooth directly to iPhone might increase it. Don’t wanna carry around the bulky control. Need small setup.

@@dronewilder5234 I flew into a tree at an altitude of 20 meter it then crashed on asfalt. Gimball en sensors were done. DJI service is incredible fast and fixed it.

Yes but I’ll have a look at how it performs hovering in the dark aswell- same caution should apply in theory - ensure GPS is strong

No on manual mode you can basically fly over water with no risk of unusual behaviour as GPS is only used for speed and position info.

I have also seen drones evolve over the years - built my first drone in 2007 and I can safely say drones have advanced a lot in that time especially in terms of their user friendliness. So yes, dji drones are extremely easy and intuitive to fly. Controller don’t need GPS for you to fly and in the case of the Dji Neo even the drone doesn’t need a controller link at all to fly basic selfie maneuvers. Most drones also have the ability to use vision positioning to fly stable and hold position close to the ground when there is no GPS signal

I would still purchase care refresh though. Remember in my tests even though it was still flyable and worked, it did get badly battered and camera quality did start to take a hit (dead pixels etc)

@@swingasc mixed light is quite tricky - really you just need to make a choice depending on what you’re wanting to capture but if for example you’re flying in woodlands and get occasional overexposed bursts - I’d expose for the shadows. Here’s a handy trick though - set your iso to auto but use exposure lock to fix it for whatever level works (shadows or sunlight). That way you are getting HDR video without the exposure settings changing all the time

For sure playing around in my yard (still waiting for my registration in Thailand to be completed) isn't a real world situation, and I assume that most of the time even if I'm in mixed light, it will lean one way more than the other. Looking forward to getting out there for real!

@@JowaMoto yeah for constant flight over water I still wouldn’t recommend it even with my mentioned precautions - a mini 3 or 4 would probably be a better choice then
