Dang, man that Mini 4 pro went out forever! I think it’s cool that you guys up there can do these long range tests. Very impressive results all around even though the new spot wasn’t as helpful.
Hey thanks for the video. Your videos are all very well done and informative. Good to see the mini 4 still gets good range with the goggles. I haven't used mine with the goggles. I should let you know that we had a guy that lives in my town in B.C. get issued violations and fined by Transport Canada for videos on his youtube channel showing regs being broken. Mini 4 with regular battery is ok but Avata 1&2 VLOS. Not sure if TC is still monitoring TH-cam for this kind of thing. Dont want you gettin in trouble.
Why was the battery on the mini 4 pro draining so fast? It almost seemed like 1% every second. Or is that because you speed up the video? How much runtime did you get?
Yes, like you said the video was sped up. Based on the screen recording I got about 18 minutes of flight time, but also consider I was in sport mode at full throttle for pretty much the whole flight.
I just noticed that the mini 4 pro and goggles 3 combo does not have a map view in the display. Is there a way to enable this? That's a bummer if it's not because it's used frequently.
Do you have tilted view with mini 4 pro in FPV mode with strong wind the same way it's tilted with Avata 2? My main problem with Avata 2 is that the view is almost always tilted because of the wind making it annoying to fly especially when turning often. I was wondering if I should get a mini 4 pro and fly it in FPV mode instead of Avata 2 to avoid dealing with this tilted view.
I run into that same issue with my Avata, and I agree it can be quite annoying. But the mini 4 pro doesn't have that issue. Because it has a 3 axis gimbal, it can keep the horizon level even when the drone is tilted to counter the wind.
A tip that even I forget to do. Always put your phone in airplane mode or at the least turn off Bluetooth and wifi. Provided you have a controller that doesn't need a phone.
Thanks for your video, it was educational for me, I use RC Pro, but with sunlight it is a bit disappointing And with Goggles 3 that problem is solved, And of course subscribed to your channel sorry for my bad English.

Yeah that was interesting to try. The second spot is more what I'm use to getting for range, but I'd like to try the first spot again with no wind.

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the info.

Does the RC2 controller bind to Avata 2? Thanks.
No it doesn't, at least as far as I know.
I wonder if creating fcc_cfg_support file and selecting CH3 would make a difference.
Haha, I get what you're saying, and it may work, but that's a bit out of my technical know how.

Yeah there is no map display when using the goggles. Unfortunately, as far as I know there is no way to enable it.

Haha yeah this a good point, something I didn't think to mention.
Thanks so much for doing this video
You're very welcome😊

Thanks, I appreciate the comment! And I agree it'll certainly help on those bright sunny days.
IMHO I cannot convince myself to buy this goggles for my mini 4 pro. 🤔
I get what you're saying, unless you buy the avata2 and get the goggles3, buying the goggles alone is a bit pricey.
