Thanks for your great review! I had a 2016 Macan S for 89,000 miles. I bought an extended 100,000 mile warranty. When I traded it in for a new Macan, I got about 40% of the original price. The Transfer Case on the older models will need to be replaced, but Porsche extended the warranty on that item. I used my S as a daily driver and crossed the U.S. twice each year to travel to our summer home. I did not drive the car to its capabilities (probably never got it over 4000 RPM's, as I am a lawful driver), so the 2024 Base model was fine for me. Indeed, after I attended Porsche driving school and took a hot lap with a professional driver, I sold my third 911 because I was only using about 20% of the car's capability. Net, net, the Macan S was the best car I have owned in my 72 years on this earth! I think I will miss the six cylinder for acceleration, but the jury is still out on that! Thanks again for your great review!
Randy thank you for the very kind comment! Glad to hear you’re enjoying your cars and that the Porsches have treated you well! Cheers to many more years of enjoying the cars! -Ben
1st class review. No stupid Jokes, and real insight to the vehicle, the big guys are put to shame by your to the point comprehensive overview. Like the GTI comparison, as we all know GTI's are the best do all car ever made!
Make thank you so much for that kind comment! I find it funny that you like the no jokes part as I usually have at least 1-2 humorous lines in my videos :) This was an easy video to make thanks to the car being so great and having tons of talking points. My dad actually ended up getting one!
Nice video. Great points and spot on. Bought a Macan S 6 months ago and love it. Only piece I differ on is the wheel size. The 20” look fantastic. Don’t notice any poor ride quality. Still decent sidewall. These cars are amazing to drive. My splurge option was the sport exhaust. Worth every penny. Sounds amazing.
Thank you very much! Congratulations to you on your Macan S! What color is it? I hope you enjoy it for tens of thousands of miles! Happy to say that I helped my dad find his dream Macan S in November and now he is a very happy owner like you :) Cheers!
@@ToOpen6seven So far extremely reliable. Had it a year now so I am sure if little things they would have shown up. Build quality is excellent as far as I can see.
I made a bold purchase and ordered a 2017 Macan turbo with over 100k miles on the clock, it should arrive in 3 weeks, no warranty so I am now guessing what would leak first :D As I heard the 3.6 liter engine is the original Porsche engine all other trims are Audi engines. If you have any thoughts I would appreciate
I bought a new S in May 19. Great SUV but I’d recommend going for the Air Suspension. On PASM even in comfort it’s a bumpy ride on poor surfaces. 3.0 engine a little rough but swift. PDK fast shifts but 1st to 2nd shift can take too long in Sport mode. That aside steering handling and build quality are very very good.
Should I Get It Reviews I owned a BMW 340i RWD. Great engine. Lovely ZF box perfectly mated to engine. Ride quality on a par with my Macan S. However steering, grip and handling well behind the Macan. No regrets. I feel that with Air Suspension the Macan would move even further ahead. The next Gen Electric Macan might be worth serious consideration......
I just bought a 2020 Macon S, didn't do a ton of research on this model but hoping it's as much or more enjoyable then my MB GLC300 was. any tips or suggestions is appreciated...
Hey Anton congrats on the new car! Drive it hard :) I recommend taking a driving course if you have one nearby and they'll teach you how to safely get more enjoyment out of the car
@@shouldigetit Thanks , I bought it on impulse, my Sis has a base model and she seems satisfied , but I wanted the bigger motor. Hope I don't regret it?
Hey Keith I haven’t heard that in any other reviews I watched or from a few owners I know. But maybe it’s just something they’ve never brought up. Looking at a CPO Macan anyway so that would hopefully be covered.
@@andybutler560 Sorry Andy! I swear I've gotten better at car videos since this one. Also set the video speed to 0.75x or a custom speed if you find it too fast in any video, mine or otherwise.
Thanks Adam! I believe the 2015-2017 are all very similar with the "differences" being that the 2015 didn't have 3-zone climate as standard (available option however) and the lock/unlock button positions were swapped fore 2016 and 2017. Good luck on your hunt for a Macan!

If you own a RS3, s3, golf r, etc... This is not the car to upgrade to. You are better off upgrading to a rsq3 or a macan turbo, if you plan on going with a cross over/suv.
Is this from personal experience? Totally see where you're coming from but also could switch the word "upgrade" to "move" and I'd say if you're okay with slowing down a bit you can move to a Macan S from an S3 or Golf R.

Did that car have the power steering assist (I think that’s what it’s called) option to give that adaptive steering experience?
I believe so! That’s what I was mentioning with the steering weight changing dependent on speed.
D Vearn They all do, but it’s some £300 to have it turned on (or indeed off) should it not have been spec’d by a previous owner.

What is the purpose of then side blades? Aesthetic?
Yes it’s just for the aesthetic. Good eye Steven
